De'Asia POV
I was laying down playing with Nevaeh's. Nevaeh is bout to turn 9. Waiting for Steve to come home with food.
We was watching the Princess and the Frog. This is Nevaeh's favorite movie. It was on the part where Charlotte was trying to make Prince Naveen be a person when Steve came throught the door.
He put the bags of Popeyes on the table then wal;ked over to me and Nevaeh. "Hey baby, babygirl." He kissed Neveh on the forehead and gave me kiss on the lips.
"Hey baby."
"Y'all ready to eat?"
Me nd Nevaeh looked at each other. "Boy if you don't-" Nevaeh said making me laugh.
"You watch to many vine videos." Steve said picking her up and taking her to the sink to wash her hands.
I went to the bathroom and wshed my hands then came back and sat down at the table.
Steve opened the bag and handed out the food. I had the Chicken Po'boy, Steve had the Seafood Po'Boy and Nevaeh had some chicken tenders and fries.
I started saying grace. But I was interuppted by the tv going off.
"Attention all mall goers, Chris Brown will be at Towson Mall tomorrow..."
I looked at Steve. He looked at me then at Nevaeh.
"Ok now back to dinner."
"Mommy can we go the mall tomorrow? I want to meet Chris Brown."
"Do you have a crush on him ma?"
"No mommy. I just like his music."
I was relived.
The next Day
I was at the mall with Nevaeh standing in line to see the muhf*cker that had me pregnant during senior year.
As soon as I got near the front of the line, Chris looked up at me.
"De'Asia?"
Nevaeh looked up at me. "Mommy how does Chris Brown know your name?"
I looked at him. "Hey Chris."
He got up from the table then whispered to the man next to him. "Ok ladies Chris is going to take a break."
Evrybody stood there. "Come on De'Asia. Bring the her."
I looked at him. "Come on Nevaeh." She looked at me still.
I walked with Chris. Into this room with food and games and sh!t.
Nevaeh went to where the games were.
"So how's it been?" Chris asked patting the seat next to him. Telling me to sit down.
I sat down. "It's been ok. Besides the fact that I got pregnant in high school."
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah."
"IS she mine?"
"Yeah." I whispered.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
I looked up at him. "You muhf*cker. I called you. You left. Never answered my calls. Never text me back. Never opened my DMs. I tried to tell you that you had a child. You didn't wanna listen. You also lost me."
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah Right. Nevaeh comeon." I said getting up and getting Nevaeh.
"I'l take care of her. I'll pay for her stuff. I wantto spend time with my child too."
