To say Ash was surprised would be an understatement, his sister the crowned queen of Rota was a busy woman, And All he could do was talk to her every other day, because of the team rocket infiltration missions even those small talks weren't happening, then when she shows up at his house, It's more than surprising.
"Hey Ilene" Ash jumped as he hugged his sister who reciprocated instantly, Ash then looked at Mark who was also behind Ilene, Ash went and hugged him as well before telling them to settle down, Ilene left to her room and Mark and the other palace guards went to their quarters, Ash still found it funny as to why they required that There were more than enough rooms in the house but Mark and the guards always had their way.
Another thing Ash was thinking about was something he bought recently, He sat in his room thinking, as he stared at the ring which sat inside a velvet box, A diamond with a tint of blue that reminded Ash of the beautiful ocean blue that he loved to look and get lost in, The diamond wasn't too large but wasn't too small either, The Rose gold ring had An intricate design and merged where the diamond was affixed, Around the diamonds were Pink diamonds taken from Diance's Diamond storm from the deep caves of Kalos, The ring had to be expensive but To Ash, it wasn't about the ring, more so it was about who the ring was for, The love of his life, his better half and his soulmate.
Ash didn't think he could or would ever possible fall in love, To him the idea of love was vague, His Denseness had no bounds and he never considered anyone other than his Sister and Mother to be a permanent part of his family, He didn't believe in marriage because of his father, Who left Him and Delia for travelling and journeying so Ash found marriage as something, not all that important, however, all that changed when he met Serena, She made him feel complete, she made him feel things no one else had ever made him feel, She was Beautiful, caring and humble, Not like any other performers and coordinators he knew of.
Just then his door opened up and he knew of only one person who would do such a thing considering Ash's Reaction time, Which was for the record an Aura blast to the fade in a matter of seconds while being held up in a psychic field, Or A gun to the forehead, but he knew better, He could tell who it was and Ilene had her ways everywhere, Ash would say that it comes with her position but He knew better and he knew it was just her being.....well....her.
"What are you hiding Ash," She asked as Ash tried to Hide the ring into his drawer as his sister started to leave after a short talk, Every second she spent in the room, the sweatier he became and he couldn't help. "N..noth..nothing" Ash stammered, She went up to him and looked into his eyes, Then she held her hand out, and stared, Ash, gulped as he hesitantly and slowly started to bring the velvet box out,
Her eyes widened for a second before it got back to normal and she smirked, "I think you're whipped," She said, "I sure am" Ash answered back silently, "take care of her and yourself" She said as she left, Ash immediately put the box in his desk and locked it, Just then the door opened and the most important girl of his life came and back hugged him, "Arceus, how much I missed this" she said and sighed, Ash also turned and hugged her, He kissed her on her forehead as she put her face in the crook of his neck.
The next day
Ash had just gotten up, As soon as his eyes fluttered open he was greeted by the beautiful sight that was his girlfriend lying naked next to him with sheets on top of her, He gave her a kiss as he got up, Little did he know that Serena and the others had already planned out today for him, He was still on leave and Lance had strictly prohibited him from coming to the office, Ash went over to make some breakfast for both himself and Serena, Serena was this close to passing out when she met her all-time idol, Ayla Anderson, Delphox, Sylveon and Milotic were ecstatic to meet Her gardevoir, Glaceon and Shiny Milotic, Eventually, everyone went off to sleep, well almost everyone, Ash and Serena were quite busy for a few hours at least,
Serena had now left to get something's leaving Ash alone with his Pokemon, Ash spend his time training, He knew that his mission would be coming ahead soon and If he needed to catch Giovanni and end team rocket once and for he needed to keep himself sharp, Giovanni was an unpredictable person and would not hesitate to provide himself victory using any kind of cheap trick,
Which meant Ash would also have to use a few tricks which any normal person would consider abnormal, Thinking about all of this he started sparing with Lucario and Infernape together, He knew that hand to hand wouldn't be necessary for the battle, Considering the man was at least as old as his father if he were even alive that is,
Eventually, Ash went over inside, He wanted to go over to Lt Surges Gym to talk about a few things, The Gym Leader of Vermillion city was getting old and he had just gotten himself a replacement a younger version of basically himself, Except she wasn't exactly Unovan like Surge, He heard that she could put up a fight and Surge wanted to challenge Ash and Pikachu to a battle against her Raichu, Brings us to the topic of Pikachu, Who was pissed off at Ash despite being with Serena and sylveon, Ash Made up with him though and it may or may not have had to do with a few bottles of ketchup and some cuddling,
Evening came up when Ash returned Exhausted after the battle, He won, Brutally. But she did put up a good fight. Her Raichu being her ace showed its worth, Right now however Ash pulled up at the garage and started parking his S-Class, He entered the house from the garage exit when He entered the hallway everything was dark, In fact, the whole house was dark, He could Use Aura Vision but he went against it just for the thrills, I mean who had the guts to walk into A General and Champions houses which technically was invisible to the outside world,
He made his way into the living room, Suddenly All the lights turned on and Everyone jumped out of their places. "SURPRISE!!!" They screamed, And then Serena latched onto me giving me a hug while the others shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH!!" "Thanks, guys," he said as he made his way over the Chocolate Cake by the table, After cutting it and then giving a few pieces to Delia, Serena and Ilene first followed by Ayla and Grey, Surprisingly Gary, Brock, Salvia and Lance also came.
A few hours in everyone had dinner Ash and Serena were sat outside at the patio, Inside Ash's Pocket was the ring, "Hey Serena?" Ash called, She hummed in reply, "what are your thought on marriage ?" He asked, Serena, stared at him bewildered, but soon she regained her composure and answers, "Well, I mean Marriage is good" She answers Struggling on her verse, Apparently, Her composure was not up to Standards, Ash chuckled,
"You know, Before I met you Love was a foreign emotion to me, I only loved My mom, Ilene and my Pokemon, But then one fine day I was forced to move to Kalos, I may not have wanted that, but I loved every moment there, You made me complete, You filled the single hole in my heart, I did not believe in marriage because of my father, But what I want to tell you I'd that I really want to spend the rest of my life you and I don't think I'll be able to anything without you" Ash ended as he pulled out the box and opened it and went down on one knee, "so Serena, will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive?" Ash asked cutely closing an eye in anticipation.
Serena had her hands covering her mouth, She knew she loved him with all her heart, Honestly, it was love at first sight, She saw in him the most breathtaking amber eyes, She could basically get lost in them, Then there was his personality, He was sweet and caring and lovely and everything a woman would ever want, Sometimes she even thought that he was too good for her, But right now, As she stared into his eyes she saw something that she had never seen there, Fear, the fear of being rejected, She felt her heartbreak at that, she smiled and shouted yes, again and again, Then she launched herself at him hugging him tightly and then kissing him on the lips taking all their air out of each other lungs and then Ash put the ring on her finger.
At that moment there was no one else, Just Serena and Ash, In their own world Standing side by side, Leaning on each other with his hands around her shoulder, looking at the moon, blissfully unaware of all the happy ovations that they were receiving.
