Well... that was weird.

I turned the tv off, shaking my head to myself.

I don't know who this Eclipse is but I can't help but think we're attached in some way. Maybe something happened like in the movies where we were like so similar that we got all mixed up or something?

I can't help but feel a strong pull and connection towards Ares from the dream. I've never felt so happy or comfortable before. Whoever this is Eclipse is she is so lucky to have someone like that.

Even Jacob cares about her! Plus two other gods and the actual god of war Ares. I would kill for her life. Not literally of course.

Unless it was Jacob...

I needed time to think and figure out what might be going wrong so I wandered off into the forest. I started jogging lightly at a human pace, admiring the beauty flowing past me slowly.

Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spotted a small cave, covered almost completely in moss and flowers.

I walked over to it, admiring its beauty.

I stroked my finger over one of the petals before sticking my head inside to see if there was a cute little bear or something hiding. When I did my vision flashed the familiar white that now let me know a vision was coming.

My eyes refocused and I was walking through a jungle. I had just finished admiring a beautiful waterfall and was doing some recon before responding to a prayer I had heard.

Someone on this planet had been calling out to me specifically, using my name, Eclipse. It was strange because they shouldn't have known I was the one in charge of prayers right now. After about a week of them constantly praying and begging for me to come to them I decided I should probably check it out.

For obvious reasons I searched the entire planet first for danger. Once it came up clear I started following the woman's presence. She was somewhere deep in this jungle but I was taking my time making my way over to her.

This was one of the more beautiful places I'd been which said a lot. Saying I'm well traveled would be a serious understatement, especially for a goddess my age.

I followed her trail to a dead end. I furrowed my eyebrows, staring at the wall of the mountain that was completely covered in moss and flowers for a second before realization hit me.

I smiled as I moved the greenery aside with my mind, revealing a little opening into a small cave. I giggled to myself as I made my way into the darkness.

I hope I find a cute little bear or something, I thought to myself. I walked through the darkness until I noticed small amounts of light flooding in from the other side of the tunnel like cave.

I had to crouch slightly in some of the more shallow parts of the cave but I did so happily. Sure, I could've just teleported to the woman's exact location, but where would be the fun in that? The fact that she knew I was on prayer duty and asked for me to visit her in a creepy little cave is still very suspicious.

In her prayers she sounded honest and sweet, nothing like a murderer or con artist, but you can never be sure, and you can never be too careful.

Plus, if I just teleported in I wouldn't have had the opportunity to experience the adorable little cave I was walking through.

Once I reached the opening I couldn't help but look around in awe, unintentionally ignoring the lady I knew was watching me.

All over the walls of the cave were carvings to the outside, like weirdly shaped windows.

When the light flooded in, the carving caused patters to sprawl out across the floors and walls of the dome like cave.

"Woah." I breathed and the lady chuckled.

"I knew I would like you." she laughed out, her voice hoarse yet beautiful.

"How can I help you?" I asked with a smile, attempting to come across professional.

She patted the ground next to where she was sitting and I immediately walked over and joined her on the ground, sitting crosslegged and admiring the light patterns surrounding us.

"I've seen many visions of you Eclipse. You're very very powerful. Too powerful."

I nodded awkwardly, subconsciously ready to fight in case her next words were, 'which is why you need to die.'

"Fate, Peace, Balance and knowledge couldn't let anyone be that powerful. You have no faults. You're as fast as the god of light, as strong as the god of the earth, you will be nearly as skillful as the god of war himself and nearly as smart as the goddess of knowledge. You have many abilities. You could potentially control minds as perfectly as the titan of the mind, bend reality and allure as well as your mother, the goddess of the moon, and you are as bright and demand attention like your father, the god of the sun. You have even more abilities that you haven't even discovered yet, but you are already one of the most powerful beings in the universe. Naturally, you couldn't be left as indestructible as you seem. Every god or goddess must have their fault. Some have more than others, you have less than most."

I shifted uncomfortably. Where is she going with this?

"Okay?" I asked skeptically, I didn't want to be rude but this was not exactly my favorite conversation. It certainly isn't my least favorite, but it's not great.

She smiled softly at me. "One of your faults is your incapability of trusting anyone. You're never going to find your soul bound if you can't work through this, and everyone needs their soul bound. You won't be complete until you find him or her."

I nodded. Yep, I already knew all of this...

"Of course, you know this already. What you don't know is that you have another, larger fault."

I furrowed my eyebrows.

"If someone were to carve a knife out of stone and stab you during a lunar or solar eclipse, they could use it to not only send you into the death of nothingness for a millennium, but they would also absorb your powers for those thousand years. You would then be reborn, your memories wiped until you found and bound yourself to your soul bound. The difficult part is that this dagger would not only wipe your own memories, but every other god or goddess that knew you as well. Everything would be completely reset until you managed to find your soul bound once again."

I blinked at her in shock. That was a lot of crazy information for thirty seconds. Then it hit me.

"H-has this happened before?"

The lady smiled sadly, "I cannot say for certain for I am a goddess and my mind would have been wiped, but I can say that the natural phenomenon of an eclipse as been around a hell of a lot longer than however long you think you've been alive."

I was completely baffled. She's right, more likely than not I've been around a whole lot longer than we think I have. No one would know and no one would be able to know until I found my should bound.

"Shit, that's a pretty serious fault." I said, my voice shaking slightly.

The lady sighed, "It isn't free to be as powerful as you are, everything has a price. You have a lot more to love and enjoy than others but you also have a lot more to lose."

"No kidding." I whispered. "Who knows about this?" I asked softly and the lady smiled gently, "Fate, Peace, Balance, Knowledge and myself, the goddess of prophecy."

"No one else?" I asked and she shook her head. "Not for the time being."

I sighed, "Thank you. Is there anything else I need to know?"

She smiled sadly at me and shook her head, "I think that that's enough, just please Eclipse, don't let it interfere with your trust. Remember, you need to let someone in. I know that deep down, you know who, and I am here to tell you that that will be the person that brings you into the light. That isn't to say to give your trust just anyone, not everyone is who they seem to be, but if you make the right choices, you can be happier than you ever thought possible"

Great, I was worried the stakes would be high.

That was sarcasm in case you didn't catch that.

"Wait a second." I said as something occurred to me, "You said that all gods and goddesses would forgot about me, but you never said anything about stars and titans."

She reached up and squeezed my hand reassuringly and with that she disappeared into nothingness.

Fuck. Does that mean I'm right? That would explain a lot...

As I made my way back of out of the cave the bright white lights reappeared and I was brought back to reality.

Wow, poor Eclipse. I couldn't help but notice how similar our lives seemed to be. This must be why I'm connected to her in this way.

It's crazy to think that Eclipse has been alive before and nobody knows. It must be nice being so powerful and bright, but that fault is a hard burden to hold, not only for her but for her soul bound as well.

Whoever Eclipse is, I hope that she finds Ares and binds herself to him. From an outside perspective he seems like the obvious choice. They even have their own drink for god's sake!

I couldn't help but reflect on the woman in the dream's speech. I know that, like Eclipse, I have trust issues and need to learn to open up. Maybe I was shown this vision as a way for them to tell me to suck it up and learn to trust.  Maybe they're trying to tell me to open up truly let Klaus in.

Something about that felt wrong but what else could the visions mean? I may not ever have a love as amazing an profound as Eclipse and Ares, but Klaus and I could be happy.

I can tell that he cares about me, he always has. I know he has his faults and he keeps secrets, but to my knowledge it isn't anything that warrants my loss of trust.

I stood up from where I had passed out, half inside the empty little cave, half outside. Thank god no one walked by, that would've seemed weird...

I stretched before heading back to Klaus.

I'm going to give him a real chance. I'd do anything to have what Eclipse and Ares had, even let go of all of my insecurities and worries and trust completely for the first time in my entire life.

It sounds pretty scary now that I'm actually considering doing it, but I know it's what I NEED to do. I don't just want to let someone in and be happy and whole, I NEED it. I don't know how much longer I can last just me against the world.
