Ryuji POV
I start to open my eyes and I feel a presence next to me. I fully open my eyes and I see and certain invisible girl next to me.
"Well this is certainly a sight to wake up to...but I'm not complaining" I say to myself
I sit up and make sure to not wake Toru. I look at my clock and I see that it's only 6AM.
"I should probably go back to sleep...but that's gonna be kinda difficult right now" I say while looking at Toru
"WHAT THE HELL!!!" I hear a certain blonde yell
Uh oh...
"Sounds like my exploding friend has discovered what Toru and I were up to last night" I say
"Ugh...Ryu, just go back to sleep" I hear Toru say
"I would love too, but I've got to clean up and deal with all of our classmates asking about why there is a hole in the walls" I say
"They'll be fine...it's starting to get cold and I don't like being cold" she says while pulling on my arm
"As much as I'm tempted I really need to focus on not being beaten up by a certain blonde" I say
*POUND POUND POUND*
"TIN CAN YOU BETTER OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR RIGHT NOW!" I hear yelling from outside my door
"Speak of the devil" I say
"Hurry up and deal with him" Toru tiredly says
I get up and make my way to the door. When I open the door I'm greeted with an angry looking Bakugo
"What brings you here?" I ask
"What brings me here? What brings me here?! Care to explain that there is a hole going through all the rooms on this floor?" He asks
"Uh...would you accept the excuse of collateral damage?" I ask
I wasn't particularly lying about that...
"You better fix my damn wall or else we're going to have a major problem on our hands" he says while looking angrily at me
"Yeah yeah. I already planned on fixing all the walls" I say
"You are lucky that it's early in the morning. Otherwise I wouldn't be this nice about it" he tells me
"This is you being nice?" I ask
I see his eye twitch.
"I'm going back to sleep. It's to early to deal with your sarcasm" he says as he turns around
"It's also to early to be yelling and pounding on doors" I sarcastically say
He stays silent and goes back into his room.
"Jeez. The pains of technological advancement" I say as I shut my door
I turn around and head back to my sleeping corner as I call it. I look at my bed and see that Toru is fast asleep again.
"It would be kinda weird if I got back into my bed..." I say
"Sir, I finished running diagnostics on the upgraded Arc Reactor if you would like to go over them right now" Arvin tells me
I look over at Toru and then I look at my chest and Arc Reactor.
"Toru is probably gonna get on my ass about working this early. But it just shows how much she cares" I say
Arvin tells me the diagnostic results and I prepare for the transfer.
"Yawn...what time is it?" I hear Toru's voice
"This is perfect timing. How big are your hands?" I ask
"What? Why do you need to know?" She asks while sitting up
"I kinda need your help with something" I say
Toru POV
I look over to where Ryu is and I see him in a chair with a bunch of wires connected to him and a giant hole in his chest and a heart monitor screen.
"What is happening?!" I quickly ask as I rush to get up
"I'm currently about to replace that hunk of junk with my upgraded Arc Reactor" he says
"What do you want me to do?" I ask
He pulls out the wires from his chest and throws them to the side.
"I just need to you reach in here and gently lift out the wire" he tells me
"Oh god...is it safe?" I ask while looking at the hole
"It should be perfectly safe. It's like the game Operation, just don't let it touch the socket wall or else it goes beep" He tells me
"What Operation?" I ask
"It doesn't matter it's just an old board game" he says
I move my hand closer to his chest.
"Just make sure to gently lift the wire" he says
I start to put my hand in but I get too scared.
"I don't think I'm qualified to do this. This is something that Melissa or Mei should be doing" I say as I pull back my hand
"It's fine, I'd much rather have your hand inside me rather than anyone else" he says
...
"Ok don't make what I just said weird. The point is that I trust you the most to do this" he says
"I really don't know about this" I say
"Come on now, is it too much to ask because I'm running on limited time here" he says
"Ok ok fine" I give in
I raise my hand and move it to the hole. I muster up the courage and start to put my hand it.
"Oh god! There's puss and grossness" I say
"It's not puss, it's an inorganic plasmic discharge from the device and not from my body" He tells me
"It's smells!" I complain while feeling around for the wire
"It sure does. Make sure to grab the copper wire" he says
"I got it" I say while grabbing the wire
"Ok now don't let it touch the SIDES!" He shouts the last part
A loud beep goes off and I start to panic.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm so sorry" I panic
"That why I said not to touch the sides" he says
I get the wire and I start to pull it out of his body.
"Now make sure that when you pull it out you don't pull out the mag-" he stops
I give the wire a tug and I see a metal disc at the end of it come out.
"That's the magnet. I was not expecting this" he says
I start to hear a lot of beeping coming from the screen.
"Uh what do I do with this?" I ask while holding the wire and magnet
"Just set it down" he struggles to say
"What's wrong?" I ask while I set the wire and magnet down
"Oh you know. Just going into cardiac arrest. No big deal" he says
I start to panic.
"I thought you said this was safe!" I exclaim
"We don't have time for this. We've got to hurry" he says while handing me the Arc Reactor
"Ok...Ok. You'll be just fine Ryu" I say
"For the both of us let's hope" he says
I put the wires into the hole first.
"Ok you want to attach that to the baseplate and make sure you...WOAH" he yells at the end
I assume I do it correctly because all the beeping stops and Ryu gets a more relaxed look on his face.
"See, was that so hard?" He asks
I try to calm myself down from what I just experienced.
"Here I'll get the rest" he says as he grabs the Arc Reactor and pushes it in
"Are you ok?" I ask
"Yeah I feel great. Are you ok?" He asks as he starts to laugh
"Ryuji, I would do almost anything for you. But please... please just have Melissa or Mei do something like this next time" I say while wiping off my hands
"Why would I ask them when I have you?" He says
We stare into each other's eyes for a second. I then get flustered and look down.
"J-Jeez...don't say things like that" I say now fully flustered
I'm glad that I'm invisible because I don't want him to see how red I am.
"I'm just speaking the truth. Anyways, thanks for helping me out" he says as he gets up
"N-No problem" I say
"I should probably get started on fixing up all the holes in everyone's room" he says while putting his shirt on
"I-I'll just head back to my room now" I say
Time skip a couple days...Ryuji POV
It's been a couple of days and it's now turned into October. Over these past couple of days Nighteye's funeral was held. And those who had work studies, besides Tokoyami, went with All Might and Aizawa to attend Nighteye's funeral. During this time I found out about Eri and Mirio's conditions. So until Eri is able to control her power and possibly restore Mirio's quirk, I offered to try and find a way to reverse engineer the quirk removal bullet. The only problem I have is that I need one of the bullets. So until Nezu can get one for me there is nothing I can do at the moment.
Skip to school...
I'm currently sitting in class listening to Ectoplasm talk about something I already know.
"It's not that elegant of a question, but calculate the define integral. If you know the answer, raise your hand" Ectoplasm says while writing an equation
I look around and see even Yaoyorozu is struggling with this. I decide to wait and see who will answer first before I give the correct answer. I then see Midoriya raise his hand.
"Midoriya!" Ectoplasm calls on him
"107/14!" Midoriya responds
Wrong answer...
"Incorrect!" Ectoplasm responds
I then quickly raise my hand before Yaoyorozu.
"Takashi!" Ectoplasm calls on me
"107/28" I respond
"Correct! Now, onto the next question" Ectoplasm says
The rest of the day starts to go by and eventually lunch comes. Toru and I head to the cafeteria and after getting our food we take a seat with Bakugo and the others.
"Hey Takashi, how does it feel to have that in your chest?" Ashido asks
"Well I constantly feel warm and fuzzy in my chest" I respond
"I bet that's how Toru feels whenever she's with you" Kaminari teases Toru
"Sh-Shut up!" She exclaims
I then get an idea...
"The only thing I know that Toru has felt is inside me" i nonchalantly say
The whole table stops eating and looks at me and Toru. I can tell that Toru is probably beet red right now.
"Why are you all looking at us like that? She only helped me install the Arc Reactor into my chest" I say innocently as I continue to eat my food
"R-Ryu! Please phrase it differently!" Toru exclaims
"Now that I think about it...I don't remember Toru entering her dorm room that night" Ashido says
"Takashi you lucky bastard!" Kaminari exclaims
"It wasn't like that! Ryu you've gotta tell them!" Toru yells
"Sorry, but I'm busy trying to patented my new element" I say
"Wh-What are you gonna call your new element?" Toru asks clearly trying to change the subject
"I'm trying to name it badassium, but I'm having a bit of trouble" I say
"Why that name?" Kirishima asks
"So that the people know that the person who discovered this new element was a badass" I say with a smirk
"Why am I not surprised..." Sero deadpans
"Why are they giving you trouble?" Ashido asks
"I'm not sure to be honest, but it's probably the name I'm trying to give it. They probably don't want kids in school learning about an element called badassium" I say
"I don't blame them..." Kaminari says
"I think it's pretty dumb. I mean, the next generation after us is already gonna grow up knowing I'm a badass top hero" I say
"The hole in your chest certainly didn't put a hole in your ego..." Bakugo says
"Oh your one to talk Mr.I'm the strongest one here nobody can ever defeat me" I say
"Because it's true! I'll be the next number one hero and I'll outshine every single one of you!" He exclaims
"Ok buddy. I'll believe that when you can finally beat me in a one on one fight" I say
"Tsk" is his responds
The rest of the day goes by and when I get back to my room I take a moment to look at how empty it is ever since my other suits where destroyed.
"That was a whole lot of work gone completely down the drain" I say
"Sir, we should probably get to work on rebuilding all of them" Arvin says
"Yeah, we really should. I just hope that things start to mellow out from here on" I say as I change into my work clothes...
