(fourth year)
At the burrow...
"ugh, wake up Ronald!" I tried shaking Ron awake as Hermione did the same with Harry
"for goodness sake! wake up!" I shook him harder this time which seemed to wake him.
"bloody hell!?" he immediately pulled his blanket over his body and looked weirdly at Hermione and I
"yous two need to get up and changed! now!" I snapped as headed for the door
"oh, and breakfast is ready" Hermione added before the two of us went down to the kitchen, then once we got into the kitchen I sat right next to Fred, on the end of the table, then we started to eat the food that magically appeared on the table, like at school...
A COUPLE MINUTES LATER.....
"right kids! on your feet, come on, come on!" Arthur tried to rush us out of the kitchen
"but we're eating!" George groaned
"you can eat and walk" Arthur clapped his hands making us all stand up, getting our backpacks off the floor and heading outside.
Fred and I walked hand in hand around the fields, a couple weeks into the summer holidays he asked me on a date then asked me to be his girlfriend, of course I said yes.
"uh Ron, where are we actually going?" I heard Harry ask from behind us
"dunno," Ron replied "HEY! dad, where are we going?" He then shouted
"haven't the foggiest. just keep up!" Arthur shouted back. As we got right into the middle of the forest a very familiar voice echoed from besides a rather large tree
"Arthur! it's about time son!" Amos Diggory
"sorry Amos. Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start" Arthur turned around to look at Ron and Harry "this is Amos Diggory everyone. Though Olivia you already know that. but he works with me, at the Ministry" Arthur introduced everyone to him. Then the boy I definitely didn't expect to be here jumped down from the tree - Cedric.
"And this strapping young Man must be Cedric, am I right?" Arthur asked him shaking his hand
"yes sir" Cedric replied, before catching a glimpse of me. When we locked eyes I immediately let go of Fred's hand and ran into Cedric's arms, Hugging his as if I hadent seen him in years.
"Ced! I didn't know you were coming!" I exclaimed, still holding on to him
"well, here I am" he shrugged "my dad made me come, he didn't even tell me you lot were coming" he turned to Fred and George "yous alright?" he asked them
"yea man, you?" they replied, giving him a high five
"good" he nodded
"yeah, anyway - Arthur didn't tell us neither" I laughed. but then i caught Hermione and Ginny staring me down with smirks plastered on their faces, I quickly lifted my head off Cedric's shoulder and looked at them.
"what?" I asked
"you two, seem.. very close" they both snickered at us
"oh god, no, no, no" I laughed "I've known his since I was little, we are best friends and definitely nothing more" I sighed "besides I'm dating Fred now, remember?"
"oh right yeah." Hermione shrugged, Ginny also nodded before the two of them started to walk away from us.
"this way!" Cedric grabbed my hand, I grabbed Fred's and Cedirc guided us to the front of the line, leading me to merlin knows where.
HALF AN HOUR LATER
"it's uh, just up there" Amos said pointing to the very top of the hill. Ginny ran up to the Manky old boot sat up there
"we dont want to be late. hurry up" Arthur said "now, get yourselves into a good position"
"why is everyone standing around that manky old boot?" Harry asked, and to be fair it was a good question
"that isn't just any manky old boot, mate" Fred said
"its a portkey" George finished
"time to go!" Arthur announced, all of us knelt onto the ground and grabbed a hold of the boot - though harry didn't.
"whats a port key?" harry asked
"ready? after three. 1, 2-" Amos started
"Harry!" Arthur warned causing harry to grab hold of the top of the boot
"3!" Amos finished just as we all went blurry, then we were in the air circling around the boot
"right kids let go!" Arthur announced, harry and Hermione were confused but eventually let go, Fred, George, Ron, Ginny and i followed after. seconds later we all hit the ground roughly, all except Arthur, Amos and Cedric, they glided down from the sky. they laughed seeing us on the floor. the second Cedric landed he ran up to me and helped me up
"Clumsy" he shook his head mockingly
"shove it Diggory" i laughed, then he walked away from me to help harry up from the floor. Once I was stable again Fred came to my side and held my hand as we walked up the mountain and saw that we are now at the Quidditch World Cup!
"wow..." we stood there, amazed for a second before heading down to find our tents, Cedric and his dad had already found there's in a matter or minutes
"see you at the match ced!" i smiled giving him a quick hug before following the Weasleys so we could find our own tent. it took us a while but we finally found it. when we all started to pile in, you could see the confusion on Hermione and Harrys faces since it was such a small tent, but once you were inside there was a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, dinning table - everything! magic just is amazing.
"girls! choose a bunk and unpack!" Arthur said as the three of us played around "Ron! get out of the kitchen were all hungry!"
"yeah, get out of the kitchen Ron!" the twins said together as they sat by the kitchen table
"feet off the table!" Arthur pointed at the boys
"feet off the table!" they both said again, clearly copying their dad. I chose a bunk and un-packed my stuff onto it, so did Hermione and Ginny.
TWO HOURS LATER
"I dont believe the amount of effort the lot of you have gone into for a quidditch match" I shook my head at the 6 standing infront of me -
"especially you two!" I pointed at the twins. I walked up to Fred snatching the hat off his his head and putting it in mine (I don't even know if that's Fred or George so I'm sorry). Just before we left the tent I gave Fred his hat back. I wasn't making fun of Hermione over it, since we were literally wearing the same. Though she wore the Irish quidditch teams scarf, while I wore Draco Malfoy's Slytherin scarf, there isn't much of a difference but if you look close enough you can tell. Now I know what your thinking, why? Why do I have his scarf, well you see we are friends in a way, so he has been to my house and stuff - he must of left it. anyway once everyone was finally ready we met Amos and Cedric at the entrance so we could go to out seats together. Cedric held my hand as we made our way up the many, many flights of stairs.
"blimey dad! how far up are we!" Ron asked as we got to a certain height
"well put it this way, if it rains, you'll be the first to know!" Lucius Malfoys annoying voice crept from a flight below us
"Father and I are in the ministers box. By personal invitation of Cornellious Fudge himself" Draco shouted up, but his face went blank when he saw me
"dont boast, Draco" Lucius said waking Draco in the stomach with his cane "theres no need with these people" we started to head back for the next flight of stairs when Lucius's cane landed on Harry's sleeve pinning him to the railing "do enjoy yourself wont you? while you can" he said before unclasping the cane and beginning to walk way. we did the same, and carried on up the stairs, our seats were right at the very top of the stadium
"come on now! take your seats" Amos said as we climbed under the lighting rig
"I told you your seats would be worth waiting for!" Arthur said excitedly. Cedric stood behind me with his arms wrapped around me since I was lightly shivering
"how did you know I was cold?" I asked lightly turning to him
"it was obvious" he laughed "you think your hardly shivering but you are like mad"
"oh, really?"
he nodded. You'd think this sort of thing would make Fred really jealous but he didn't mind with Cedric, he knew nothing would happen.
then the irish came flying in from behind us, causing Fred and George to get very excited. then the Bulgarians came crashing through the Irish's fireworks...
AFTER THE MATCH ~ BACK AT THE TENT
Fred, George, Ron and I were dancing around the tent, singing and mainly just being weird
"theres no one like Krum!" Ron announced climbing onto a support in the middle of the room
"Krum?" George questioned
"dumb Krum?" Fred asked
"he's like a bird the way he rides the wind!" Ron said excitedly
the twins were flapping there arms about like birds
"he's more than an athlete! he's an Artist"
"Think your in love Ron!" I mocked holding onto his arm
"shut up" he replied
"Victor I love you" Fred started
"Victor I do!" George added
"when were apart my heart beats only for you!" Harry and I joined in.
"huh, sounds like the irish have got their pride on" George said
"stop! stop it!" Arthur came running back into the tent "it's not the irish. We've got to get out of here. Now" he demanded, we didn't have time to grab our stuff, we just ran out. I Immediately running into Cedric's arms when we got out
"get back to the portkey everyone!" Arthur demanded "and stick together! Fred, George, Ginny is your responsibility. Cedric, Olivia is yours. go!" we all started to run together, always turning around to make sure we were all still with eachother. as we turned one corner we was a group, wearing big pointy top hats, black cloaks and carrying flames - they have been setting the tents on fire. we started to run faster all the way to the Portkey, when we got there we grabbed a hold and then landed back near the Weasleys, Arthur did a head count
"where's harry?" Ron asked looking about
"he must still be there, Hermione, Ron come with me. Amos get the rest back to the house!" Arthur said grabbing the two and dragging them back to the portkey. the rest of us walked back to the burrow...
