Temari: That time when (y/n) arrived in Suna after a month and the five of us went to hang out at the cafe after school. Kagome was panicked about forgetting her wallet at her uncle's home, and you bought her the tea and cake she wanted.
Temari: And she wasn't even thinking about getting a cake, but I caught you staring at her while she was oh-so badly want it.
Gaara: I was trying to be friends with her that we didn't have the chance to do back when we first met.
Kankuro: What about the time you admitted to me that you started to have feelings for her and you couldn't talk to her BC of the fight you had with her. You saw her fall down the stairs and never left her side after that.
Gaara: I felt bad about the fight and that I didn't catch her in time.

Shun: And I am parked at a store right now. Never text while driving. Even during a red light.
(Y/N): I'm fine. He'll take me home before midnight.
Shun: He's better, or I'll let Sweets go attack him. 😾

(Y/N)'s Point of View
I smile to myself after reading my brother's texts. I walk inside the school to see the dance is still continuing. Everyone is celebrating their last year of high school. I look around the room to search for my friends. I see Naruto dancing with Hinata and Sakura with Sasuke. Ino and Sai are just talking at the table, looking a bit tired from dancing. Shino with Choji and his date, who I never get to meet. I never thought Choji was telling the truth about having a girlfriend. When Tenten and I asked Shino last year if Choji was telling the truth since he went with him to his girlfriend's prom. He said she's real, and her name is Karui, but he didn't have pictures. Shino was the only witness who had seen last year's prom. Even mentioned the date he had wasn't the best match for him. Then I finally see Neji, Tenten, and Lee talking with Guy Sensei and catching up with him. It's sad that Shikamaru isn't here. He didn't bother to tell us that he was going to Suna for Temari's prom. He sent us a text yesterday that he wasn't going to help us because he's already in Suna. Honestly, it was very selfish of him not to help rebuild the prom. However, it was also fair since Temari went to his prom last year.
I start pasting people in order to look for Kiba. He supported me at the art contest, and we were supposed to meet three hours ago, but I forgot my dress, shoes, and other stuff to get ready. I told him I'll be back and to wait for me. I assumed it would be at the dance floor, but he is nowhere in sight. Worried, I pulled out my phone. That's when I suddenly got a text from him.
Messages - Kiba
Kiba: Meet me up at the rooftop.
I didn't reply. I went straight to the exit. I walk through the halls and up the stairs that lead to the rooftop. Once I made it and opened the door, there he was. I see him turn as he heard the door open, and he smiles. He looks so handsome in his suit and tie. The naughty side of me, which is the first time having one, is saying I should tear those clothes off him. However, this is not the time. I ignore those thoughts and walk closer to him.
"Hey, mutt."
"Hey, fur ball. You look amazing," Kiba said to me. He reaches out his hand and takes a look at my necklace. "I see you're still wearing your parents' necklace."
I nod as he admires the rings hanging on the necklace. He pulls his hand away and looks at me. Our eyes lock, and we didn't say a word for seconds. I want to lean in and kiss him, but I want to know why he wants to meet privately first. Mostly want to know why he's been acting weird.
"So, are you going to explain why you're still acting as a friend instead of my boyfriend?" I finally ask him.
"(y/n)," Kiba said, serious yet a little sad. "I don't think I want to start dating you yet..."
I stopped my breathing at what he said to me. His words had hit me like thousands of bullets shooting at me until I had thousands of holes all over my body. Why doesn't he want to date me again? What does he really mean by that? I took a step back as tears were about to start. He quickly noticed my expression and had a panic look on his face.
"Whoa! No! I don't mean like that! Hey!" I turn to run away from him, but he grabbed and holds me from behind to stop me. "Listen to me, fur ball! What I mean is not yet. I want to date you-"
"Don't say you want to date me if you don't, mutt!" I shout at him while trying to break free.
"Shut up and listen, please!" He held me tight, and it was harder to break free. I stop my struggles, so I may listen to his reason. "We've been through a lot. We were separated. Dated other people. Let our past haunt us. Finally dated. Then ended it so fast. After we got back from New York, I realized we won't see each so much as I hoped. I'll be here at Konoha University with my soccer scholarship. While you'll be mostly in America and travel all over the world for two years..."
I thought about his words as he talked. Then memories of my life appear before me. We both had been through a lot. I was abused by my father. Had my first cat died by bullies. I moved and said so many hurtful words to everyone. Kiba the most. I had my first boyfriend who cheated on me and moved on. I return to Konoha to find myself growing feelings for Kiba. Trusting him. Wanting him by my side. Started dating him until he hurt me, and I missed him dearly for months. I forgave him, and he earned back my trust and love. I thought about wanting to be with him again and that I didn't know it would be a problem.
Kiba continues, "I'm not saying long distance relationships is a bad thing, but I would miss you too much and go crazy jealous and worried if you're with someone even though we're dating. I'm not saying we shouldn't try, but I also feel like I don't deserve you. I hurt you too much and lied about Tamaki and Yumi..." He stops himself for a moment waiting for me to reply, but I didn't. "Which is why I want to wait longer. I want to be the boyfriend you deserve. Someone who is trustworthy for your own life. Who still isn't known as a guy sleeping around with different girls every week. As well as continue to put you first and always love you. Even try to get along with Sweets. Doesn't lie. Rather, it's big or small. Never hurt you. Rather, it's physical or emotional. Always protect you and can really keep a promise."
My hands are holding his hands, signaling him to hold me more tighter. I guess it is a problem for him to be in a long-distance relationship. Not because it feels like you have an imaginary partner or if he doesn't trust me if I say I'm not cheating on him. It's because he's scared. He wants to become a better and different man than he was a year and a half ago.
"Kiba," I finally said. "I understand. I'm sorry that I didn't know that this is how you feel..."
"Don't be, It was hard for me to say this since I was the one who wanted to have all those dates."
"But it was worth it," I move his hands away so I can turn around and face him. "Those dates made me smile and can really trust you. My feelings for you grew more and more since I first came back."
Our eyes lock, and he puts his left hand on my cheek. "You know, I won't ever cheat on you. I'll bug you every second of the day by texting, calling, and sending lame memes." I laugh a little at the last part. "Do you know why?"
"Why?" I ask.
"Because you're worth it. You help me throw away my wrongs. Holding a disguising cat. Protecting from danger and so many reasons. I love you, (y/n)."
My heart skips a beat while a big smile appears on my face. "I love you too, Kiba."
Kiba finally leans in to kiss me, and I kiss him back. His hands wrap around my waist, and I wrap my arms around his neck. We kiss passionately as we both know it won't be our last kiss. It is the start for more kisses and far more than kissing in the future. I will probably do more kissing tomorrow and the next few days later before I leave to start my new adventure. As well as kiss again when I return for holidays, if possible. However, in two years from now, we'll be officially reunited and back together for a real and new start of our lives together as we both wanted.
