Jughead's POV: that's when I saw the real Betty Cooper, not the fake happy but the sad broken. I saw the hurt and fear behind her happy face, it wasn't the sunshine she normally had. It was hurt and anger, the poor innocent girl

Betty*picking at her food*
Cheryl: Hey Betty! *sits down*
Betty: hey Cher
Cheryl: Betty we need to talk *sits down*
Betty: About what?
Cheryl: Jughead talked to me yesterday
Betty*groans and throws her head down*
Cheryl: Betty what happened last night?
Betty: Cher you know, it's nothing
Cheryl: It's not nothing, that shouldn't be what you think is normal
Betty: I really can't talk about this right now with you or Jughead or anyone *gets up and runs off*
Cheryl: I need to talk to Jughead

Jughead*stops* Cheryl?
Cheryl: I need to talk to you about Betty
Jughead: Why? Is something wrong?
Cheryl: yes, I mean no, I mean- just come on *grabs his arm and pulls him into a empty room*

Jughead: is she okay?
Cheryl: Jughead, Betty's dad he abuses them. He drinks too much and he's cheating on her mom
Jughead: oh god
Cheryl: there's more, she umm her sisters boyfriend
Jughead: no
Cheryl*nods*
Jughead*sits down*
Cheryl: she's deep in her dark space and I don't know if I can pull her out anymore
