WOOOO 2 months gone without updating broken you just simply love to see it. I am the most inconsistent writer and I should not be proud of the title I give myself. But for real tho I've been busy with college also learning how to draw as my course requires it so that quickly has became a new hobby and eaten a lot of my time as you can see from the drawing up top I'm doing okay for only started about 5 weeks ago or so.
but anyway got a new computer to write on and a new chapter has been made I hope you enjoy and ill try not to be another 2 months before updating. no promises though :)

You sat on your bed alongside Rimuru letting out a yawn in your kitsune form, since this was the only place in the school that you could relax in your kitsune you bet that you was making the most of your little time amount of time curled up in a ball finding the position most comfortable.
sadly your time eventually came to an end when Rimuru tapped you on the head and signalled that it was time to go on your trip. Thankfully preparing for trip was not at all difficult since all of your belongings can just be carried by Rimuru not that you had many anyways outside of (W/N) anyway. Whilst making sure that your kitsune features where not visible to others you couldn't help but think how everyone back in tempest is doing. It had been quite sometime since you came to this human empire with Rimuru to help save the kids and you was starting to feel the slightest bit homesick.
"You ready?" you gave a quick nod before heading over to Rimuru and you both head out to meet the rest of the class who were all waiting in the courtyard for both you and your teacher to arrive.
"Your late! Again." kenya shouted at the both of us with a annoyed look on his face. "Sorry about that." Rimuru answered with a small smile and a wave. "If your sorry don't be late next time." gale responded to which Rimuru nodded.
"My lateness aside are you guys all ready to go?" the whole class responded with a collective "yes." and we all headed out to our destination.
Making our way just outside of the walls of Engrassia. Rimuru placed down a magic circle that we all stepped into although some of the class looked a little reluctant to, in a few seconds we were all transported in front of a huge tree that had a door at the base of it which was easliy four times our height. On call Ranga jumped out of Rimuru's shadow and was ordered to protect the kids at the back as he was following.
Going up to the door you put a hand against it in curiosity and pushed slightly the door didn't budge all to much a few of the other kids did the same whilst others looked around at the surrounding forest. within a couple seconds of trying Rimuru managed to part the doors and allowed us all entry inside.
Heading inside your head was on a swivel looking at everything from the patterns engraved into the stone walls to the the many but small light sources along the walls and ceilings making everything poorly lit. not much happened for a while just you and the class walking throughout this stone labyrinth but eventually you ended up in wide room. Although quiet you heard a voice giggling to themselves and eventually it addressed its visitors.
"Oh my. what do we have here?" the disembodied voice continued.
"Can you hear me?" Rimuru asked the voice. "we mean you no harm. we will leave as soon as our task is complete. would you mind telling me where I might find higher elementals?"
"Ha Ha! That's funny. sure. we'll tell you." suddenly something dropped from above creating a huge smoke cloud concealing the identity of what it was but from within the smoke a glowing red eye shined through and stared at all of the class causing a few of the members to shake in fear a little. "Only if you beat the trial!"
The red eye glowed as it stared at you and from the smoke cloud a huge metallic body lurched out and tried to slam one of its fists onto you thankfully you managed to jump back in time before it made contact. from the state of the floor where it attempted to crush you. it wasn't very likely that you would be able to get out completely unscathed if you tried to block it. dodging was the only way to fight against it. after landing and getting a good look your attacker it turns out its a huge golem.
The golem immediately swaps its focus from you now onto Rimuru attempting the same attack which was dodged swiftly again by Rimuru. "For its size it sure moves fast!" you thought as it dashed towards Ranga and the class but swapped target half way through to attack you again.
whilst it was focused on you for the moment Rimuru spoke to the voice again. "So is the trial to beat this thing?"
"That's right. I wonder if your up to the task! That one is very strong."
"Is that so? Y/N bring it around to me!" you nodded jumping out the way of the fist attempting to punch you and slide between its legs thanks to your smaller size and run towards Rimuru who messing with something in his hands which you immediately recognized as his thread.
The golem letting out a huge puff of steam charged at you but stopped mid charge as it got entangled by Rimuru's sticky steel thread. "Well I hate to ruin your fun, but I don't want any of the kids to get hurt." with that Rimuru thrust both his hands forward engulfing the golem in a sphere of black flames which completely destroyed the golem leaving only cinders on the floor.
"N-No way! My elemental colosus eradicated in one blow?!" the voice brimming with confidence was now replaced with shock as it spoke.
"Show your self already. I know where you are." Rimuru demanded looking at a small pile of rubble in the floor. "Or I could just burn you up like the golem." he was getting real sick of this voice and to be honest you was as well so you was wondering who it was talking to you.
"OKAY! okay, okay I'm out here, I'm out here much to my chagrin!" from the rubble a small light flew to the middle of the group and took form. it is a small fairy with yellow hair in twin ponytails and small star in her hair. she also wore a small black dress. "I am none other than the greatk-" she bit her tongue mid sentence. "You good?" the small fairy took no notice of you or what you said but started her introduction again.
"I am none other than the great ten demon lords most charming member Ramiris of the labyrinth! Now kneel before me!!"
"I refuse to believe your a demon lord." you poke at her small body as she gets annoyed. "Your far to much of a pushover."
"Rude-"
"I have to agree with Y/N try to sell us a more believable lie next time" Rimuru added.
"Oh I'm familiar with your type!" She pouts. "You say it can't be true, even though you have no idea what the truth is!"
"You're right that I don't know much about these ten great demon lords. But I am friends with one, a lord named Milim. And after seeing how ridiculous she is you don't seem as.." After hearing this the small fairy seemed shocked or scared maybe both you couldn't tell with her really.
"You're friends with Milim?! A- A- Are that slime named Rimuru, the one they say started some country called 'Tempest'?"
"Um yes."
"ARGH, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!! SHE CAME TO VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES, BRAGGING ABOUT HOW SHE MADE A FRIEND, AND I JUST SNORTED AT HER AND DROVE HER AWAY..!" she turned back to Rimuru after having a little breakdown but still angry. she then went right next to his ear. "YOU STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! IDIO-" a loud clap silenced Ramiris and echoed in the silence. Rimuru had just clapped his hands together on Ramiris to quiet her.
A few minutes after Ramiris had calmed down Rimuru laid out some food for everyone whilst we talked.
"Now see here. Even among the ten great demon lords Milim is just off the charts. She's like the personification of power. she's in a completely different league from adorable little me. we're not meant to be compared!"
"But you're both demon lords, right?"
"YES, BUT ITS DIFFERENT WE'RE NOT THE SAME AT ALL! WE'RE AS DIFFERENT AS A DRAGON AND A SLIME! If all of the ten demon lords bragged about their strength, nothing would differentiate us! there should be just ONE in that case!" whilst Rimuru and ramiris continue there conversation the rest of the class where messing with the other smaller fairies that came with the appearance of Ramiris. and you was trying to block out Ramiris as something about her was just annoying you to no end so for now you are keeping your distance but still listening to the conversations and adding in when you can.
"Fine, fine I get it. so what quality do you personify as a demon lord?"
With smug face and a loud voice she proclaimed "Intelligence and beauty!" you couldn't help but laugh at her claims making her glare at you. her attention quickly went back to Rimuru as she dodged Rimuru to trying to crush her with his hand.
"Hey what's the big idea!?"
"Sorry whenever I see a face that smug and annoying I just can't help myself... my bad." for a few moments after you see Rimuru staring at his hand you guessed that great sage was probably talking to him. "Dominate mind?" Ramiris immediately sweat dropped at this and tried to play it off with the worst lying you have heard in a while.
"I- I think I'll stop it now." as she said this your Irritation towards her was gone. You figured that she was trying to affect you as well.
"And you started off trying to kill us with that golem, didn't you?" Rimuru trapped the fairy in thread as she tried to get away.
"W-Wait why are you still angry at me? I was only trying to give you a nice scare! it's a harmless prank from an adorable fairy!"
"Harmless! do you see what that think was capable off!" you yelled at the fairy whilst pointing at the many cracks and craters in the floor created by the golem.
"It's fine though. You lived right? Its all good." you was so tempted to light the small fairy on fire but you knew that it wouldn't be a good thing to do especially since she could help the kids be saved so you reluctantly quietened down.
"I heard that no one who goes searching for the dwelling of the spirits return alive."
"You sure they're not lost? we toss them out in some far distant land." she shrugged with a nonchalant tone of voice. "Wait a minute, why am I getting all the criticism? the golem you ruthlessly destroyed was my all time masterpiece!" you couldn't help but smirk at Ramiris after this. "All time master piece was kinda weak wasn't it." you taunted ramiris to annoy her that much more.
"No! it wasn't weak! it's just that he is too strong." Ramiris pointed to the slime enjoying a cookie.
"Well you said it was a trial, and made that thing attack us." Rimuru pointed out.
"But you didn't have to eradicate it without a trace! Not if your clearly that much stronger. Try to think about how the other side feels for once!"
"Sure ill think about the feeling of the giant golem when its trying to kill me next time." you rolled your eyes at her.
"See he gets it!"
"It was sarcasm you dumb-" by now both you and Ramiris are glaring at each other whilst Rimuru just sighs.
"Ugh... I was already super lucky to have found that sturdy shell in the first place"
"So you claim it was your masterpiece but the first thing you did was steal the body from someone else?"
"DON'T YOU DARE BESMIRCH MY REPUTATION LIKE THAT! THAT WAS A PROTOTYPE MAGISOLDIER BUILT IN A DWARVEN LABRATORY! And the exterior shell was abandoned so I recycled it and put it to use." The fairy continued to gloat about all the parts she added to Magisoldier and how she made work as well as trying to show off her intelligence in this field.
"Uh, Ramiris, right? I get it you're special. And therefore you are worthy of my request."
"Huh, why would I ever do anything for..." as soon as a black flame began to dance in Rimuru's hand Ramiris instantly agreed to help. "I'VE CHANGED MY MIND! I DO BELIEVE THAT I CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR TROUBLE!!" she said whilst saluting for some reason.
"I'm glad to hear it. I'm not asking you to work for free, of course. if you help me I can set you up with a new golem."
You watched as Rimuru had Ramiris practically dancing in the palm of his hand for as he got the fairy to assist him. Over the next couple minutes Rimuru had explained the situation of the kids to the fairy.
"Ahh, I see.. so these kids have had it tough, eh?"
"The only way I can save them is with the help of higher elementals. And therefore I need to get in touch with the spirit queen. you know a lot about spirits, Ramiris. can you put in a good word with her?"
"What didn't I tell you? I am the spirit queen."
Both you and Rimuru couldn't help but think "That's bs."
"Okay, I just told you what's happening to these kids, even as we speak. you can tell this is not the time for jokes right!?"
"I am NOT joking. its the truth!"
"What happened to you being a demon lord then!? Don't get greedy, or people will stop believing your stories!"
Ramiris immediately shot back with her own excuse but you think that she has to be the most confusing person you have ever met this far. "I didn't just make that up! I started out as the spirit queen and then I went astray and sank to being a demon lord!!"
"You are really confusing you know that right?" you spoke to Ramiris but she only stuck her tongue out at you in response.
"Okay, I get it. I mean, I don't get it. but I accept as truth. So... are you going to help us?"
"The spirit queen is the guiding hand of the holy. The role also requires giving the hero the protection of the sacred spirit. So I'll help you summon them. In fact I'll call forth some real super elementals for ya." and with a smile Ramiris began guiding us deeper into the labyrinth to hopefully save the kids.
