episode 6: PARCEL 9
part 1
"i'm sorry. your staying where?" kiara asked angrily
"tannyhill," john b said
"so your living with sarah cameron?" ren asked quite annoyed
"okay, look the only reason i'm living there is because her dad bailed me out, right?" he said to her, "and it's way better than foster care, which, by the way, is where i was about to go if ward didn't-" he was cut off by pope
"hey. so do you like have a membership to the clubs now?" pope asked from the table.
"i don't know, pope," john b answered leaning on one of the chairs
"what about those little golf carts they drive around? you get one of those?" jj asked
"does it come with a sweater vest? or do you have to buy one on your own?" pope asked again
"look, you promised," kie said, "you said you weren't with her,"
"bro, just own it. she got you," jj pointed out
"look john b if you want to hand out with her, that's fine, but i'm letting you know that neither me or ren are doing anything with sarah." kiara said to which ren nodded
"do you guys see her here?" john b asked
"that's besides the point but whatever," ren mumbled
"no. right, okay a little focus would be fantastic," john b said, "we've got the map, right?"
"it's all out of whack cause the guy was ganja'd when he drew it," jj pointed out
"it's cause the coast has changed, j," ren reminded him, playing with the rings on his hand.
"so we just have to look for landmarks that haven't changed," pope said
"what about the old forts?" ren asked
"battery jasper," kiara said
the gang drove to the location and there sat a broken wall thing, with bricks up and on the ground.
jj and ren were standing on it talking to eachother, jj keeping ren steady.
"it's so pretty up here," ren stared in awe at the view
"not as pretty as you," jj said
"cheesy but i love you too jj," she kissed him on the cheek before joining the others.
"we're in battery, right here," pope pointed at the map, "so if this is parcel nine, then it's somewhere northeast of here," pope said
"somewhere over there," kiara said
"right," pope agreed
"over there? guys that's not tannyhill, that's a subdivision," jj reminded them
"tannyhill plantation was the entire island," john b corrected jj, "it got sold in the smaller pieces over time,"
"so we're just looking for an old stone wall," pope said
everybody got back in the van, pope and john b in the front as pope gave john b the directions from the map.
"okay, so the road should split up here," pope said, "okay," john b said
"all right. you're gonna take a left," pope demanded
john b swerved the car to the left sending them in the right directions.
"that looks like a stone wall to me," jj said looking out the window
"let's go baby!" ren said happily and got out the van.
"not the crain house." john b said from the car,
"the crain house?! you kidding me man? this of all places," ren said face-palming her self.
"are you kidding me?" kiara asked
they walked up to the wall and ren got up one step before throwing her bag over,
"see you on the other side losers," she climbed over the not so tall wall and picked up her bag and looked back, "now come on!"
they all climbed over joining her on the other side as jj intertwined his and ren's hands together.
"i heard that mrs.crain buried her husbands head on the property," jj said
"look you guys know whose house this is right?" kiara asked
"oh yeah. no i do," jj said
"me too," ren agreed
"honestly, i don't really believe the stories of this place," john b admitted
"oh i do," ren disagreed
"which stories did you hear?" jj asked ren
"uh, the one where she killed her husband with an axe, and that she's been holed up ever since," ren said in a tone like he should've known that already
"yeah, on certain nights when the moon is full, you can see her in the window," kiara said wiggling her fingers in front of jj's face
"no, it's not funny cause it's all true. i swear to god guys this is all real. i knew hollis, jeez!" jj said
"wait you knew hollis crain?" pope asked him
"yeah, dude," jj answered simply
"dude, how do you know hollis crain?" pope asked him again
"she was my babysitter bro. she told me all about it," jj said which made ren very intrigued, "told me the truth.... about her mother, and what happened in this house,"
ren looked up at the window and noticed the blinds moving as if somebody or something was just standing there, she looked and saw that kie noticed it too.
"so as a kid, she heard all the stories that her mother killed her father, and she was a murderer and all," jj started, "hollis didn't believe it, until that night,"
"what night?" john b asked him
"it all came back to her," jj said very mysteriously,
why is this boy turning me on right now? (A//N: if i do that it's ren's thoughts okay?)
"when hollis was six years old, she heard her parents arguing downstairs. so she goes downstairs to see her mom washing her hands in a sink... full of blood," jj started, "her mother just says that she cut her finger. the next morning she says her father and her split up, but then hollis noticed something, her mother going into the parlours constantly, in and out with plastic bags," he paused again, "weeks pass and hollis decides to use the outhouse, and as she's using it, she looks down, and there, in the outhouse, is her fathers head staring right back at her," jj said
"god, you are so full of shit," john b sighed
"dude i swear to god man," jj said
"did she call the police?" pope asked still interested in the story
"she didn't have time," jj said, "wait bro hold on! are you sure you wanna do this? she's an axe murderer. you got a cast on," jj yelled to john b
"i don't give a shit if she's an axe murderer okay?" john b said
"i got nothing to lose, right?" he looked back at the others, "you coming?" he asked them
ren followed him and once she noticed jj wasn't following she want back and grabbed him by the hand pulling him.
they were walking through the bushes when john b whispered back to them,
"hey, come on. come here," he whispered
"so here's the plan. we need to look for wheat near the water like it said in denmark's letter," john b said
"ok like what kind of water? like, pond water?" pope asked
"bong water?" jj asked which made ren laugh at him
"no it- it just said look for water okay?" john b said
"that's the shittiest secret message ever," kiara complained
"you wanna complain a little more kie? nobody said it was gonna be easy," john b said to her
"i'll search the northeast quadrant, you search the northwest quadrant," pope said to jj and ren, ren who nodded
"the decapitation quadrant," jj pointed
"come on jj," ren pulled him along through the bushes.
they were walking along and could not find water anywhere,
"god damn it, this place is so dry!" ren complained
"that's what she said," jj chuckled
"you mean that's what he said," ren corrected him, and continued walking,
ren saw pope and kiara heading over to john b so she followed them, she looked back to see jj jumping out of the bushes.
"come on! this is the only place we haven't looked," he whispered
"here we go," ren whispered before following john b inside
in the room was a lot of pipes and they had to duck down in the first parts but finally reached an area where they could stand up straight,
"down came mrs.crain and cut off all out heads, up came the sun and dried up all the blood-" jj sang but pope interrupted him
"can you not?" he asked
"see any water?" kiara asked
"nope, nothing," ren said
"another dead end?" kiara asked again
"there's not even water on the pipes," jj said moving his hand along the pipes
"there's no water here," pope said
"not a dropamino," jj said
"know why we didn't find it?" kiara asked, "bad karma," she said which made ren sigh, she was in an axe murderer's house, the last thing she wanted to think about was karma and sarah cameron.
"oh god here we go," john b said
"you know, we had a good thing going. and then you decided to rope in barbie, and now the trails gone dry. coincidence? probably not," kiara answered her question
"this is exactly why i didn't want to tell you about sarah," john b said
"yeah?" kiara asked, "yeah" john b repeated
"what the hell'a the deal with you two?" he asked her
"nothing!" she said back
"nothing is it because i kissed you? is that the problem?" he asked
"excuse you?!" ren yelled at him but not before kiara sent a hard slap across his face
"oh!" pope said
"oh shit!" jj said at the same time
"that echoed dude! nice one kie!" ren hyped her up
"stop treating me like i'm some girl that's obsessed with you," she warned
"you tell him kiara," ren said
"instead of your best friend who's actually trying to look out for you," kie continued,
"did you uh... hit me?" john b asked
kiara showed him her hand and said "skeeter," revealing the dead creature on her hand
"skeeter?" john b asked her
"you see it?" she asked him
"yeah," he said before sending her a slap but not so hard as hers,
"john booker!" ren yelled at him,
"dude, too far," pope said
"come on man," jj said
"where's your proof?" kiara asked him making john b raise his hand showing her the same thing on her hand.
"skeeter," he said
"yeah? there's probably one right there too," she slapped him on the shoulder
"there's one right there,"
they continued slapping eachother until ren felt jj slap her on the ass so she jumped and turned around to look at him,
"and your proof?" she asked him
"don't have any sorry," he admitted
"okay well there's one right here," she hit him in the dick making him groan in pain before walking away from him.
"why are there so many mosquitoes in a basement?" pope asked fighting them off him,
"jesus, get them away!" ren ran away only to be swarmed by more
"man, dude i know seriously. time vampire bats just leave me alone!" jj yelled
"okay can we leave? i'm itching?" she looked over at the two so we're still slapping eachother to looking at jj who was now recovered from his injury.
and pope who was dropping a small rock through the floor boards,
"whatcha got there, sailor?" she asked him
"help me lift these off," he started lifting them off but really loudly, grabbing everybodys attention.
"dude! quiet okay!" she whisper yelled
everybody was shushing them so they asked them for help which they gladly did,
after all the boards were away, there laid a well that was very deep.
"well well well." pope joked
"that was a good dad joke," john b said
"yeah really punny," ren agreed before fake laughing and slapping her knee.
"they built this part of the house right over it," kiara said
"this is where she hid the bodies," jj said
"oh dude come on," pope said
"stop," kiara whined
"no, i'm dead serious," he said making himself laugh but nobody else.
"she probably doesn't even know it's here," kiara reminded them
"so... we found water," pope said to john b.
"we're gonna need a really big rope," john b said which made ren grin widely.

okay guys i kinda updated quickly! hope yall enjoyed this chapter. there's gonna be some beef between ren and sarah next chapter i think so stay tuned for that!
