"Yes, I need them today. The show's tomorrow, you were supposed to bring them on Monday." Aurora complained, walking around her study room, at a fast pace.

"What do you mean they don't want to model for me anymore?" She said, stopping in her tracks, and running a hand through her hair.

Her mouth fell open. "I'm too pushy? What the hell do they mean by that? So what I want everything done at a specific time. Is that too much to ask?"

She listened to the lady on the other end as she began to feel even more stressed. "It's fine. I was planning on dropping you guys anyway. This would have been the last time I use your models. Have a great life!" She cut the call and threw her phone on the couch.

Her mind was occupied with trying to find models for her fashion show. Duncan had always been here with her, helped her with her sketches, her designs. They were basically a team.

But then Duncan said he didn't want to work with Aurora anymore because a much bigger fashion company asked for him to help them.

Aurora tried to tell him it was only because he was gay and the fashion company wanted more diversity but he still left.

Once he was gone she was left with Emily who took the job because the previous job she wanted asked her for experience first.

Emily didn't want to work for her. Aurora didn't want Emily to work for her. But she was desperate for an assistant.

After crying to herself and throwing a tantrum, Emily knocked on the door because of the loud noise she'd heard. "What?" Aurora snapped, cleaning her face.

Emily walked into the room and a frown was on her face when she saw the place was in a mess. "Did you mess this place up?" She asked, a little annoyed.

"No. It was the ghosts that haunt this room. Can't you tell?" She sassed, with her blood boiling. "What do you want, Emily?"

"There was a loud noise and I wanted to know what it was." She shrugged looking around the room. Emily knew she had to clean this mess up which made her even angrier. "Is something wrong?" She asked, due to the awkward silence being too much for her.

"I'm great," She muttered. "Could you please just," She began, looking at the dream board she made for herself when she was 14. She wanted to be a fashion designer. She needed to be a fashion designer. She needed to prove those girls in her private school that she could do it.

"Tell the tailors that I'll no longer need their assistance." She finished, removing the board from the wall. But how was she supposed to prove them wrong when nothing was going her way?

Emily was shocked when Aurora had said those words. "W-wait. You're quitting? Just like that? You!?" She questioned, not believing it.

"What's the point? Duncan abandoned me and left me with you. I can't afford the models anymore and my designs aren't even that good. Why should I still keep on continuing?" She explained.

"Because I've never known you for someone to just give up like that. Aurora! You are not going to give up! Okay! You're good at everything you do, you're just not good at communicating. You get mad too easily and expect things to be perfect. No one is perfect and you have no right to talk about being perfect."

She glared at Emily but Emily shrugged it off. "I'm your assistant, right? I'm going to fix this, okay? I'm going to get you models, okay? All you have to do is relax before tomorrow, okay?" She assured, heading towards the door. "I promise."

She walked out of the room and bumped into Vincenzo. "Where's my cousin?" He asked, looking down at Emily.

Vincenzo didn't exactly like Emily after she accidentally broke his wine bottle when he needed it the most. Emily didn't like Vincenzo because she thought he was a pretty boy who thought he thought he was so cool.

Emily was about to point towards the door but then stopped herself. "She went out. Sorry. She's really stressed at the moment and the models she hired cancelled on her last minute." She explained.

He narrowed his eyes at her but then shook his head. "That's a shame, isn't it." He said, walking away.

"Wait! Vincenzo! You're rich, right?" She asked, walking up to him. "Like you have a bunch of money you don't really need and you're Aurora's cousin? Enough to lend-."

"Just spit it out." He said, growing irritated.

"Aurora's models cancelled on her last minute because she can't afford for them. I need to find some people like some drop-dead gorgeous people to walk her runway. Could you lend me some money to help her?" She asked, explaining the situation.

He thought about Aurora, not Emily. He loved his cousin, despite her always getting on his nerves. He prefered seeing his cousin, angry, hot-headed and judgy then upset, crying and depressed.

Fashion designing was her dream. If he didn't help it would crush her.

"Sure, okay. How much do you want me to give you?"

A smile formed on her lips. She was grateful Vincenzo came from a rich family and Aurora was his cousin. She didn't know what he did but she was thankful he was good at it.

"Just follow me!" Emily encouraged, dragging Aurora into her study room.

"No! I don't want to. Just because that fashion show was a success does not mean we're friends." She reminded.

"Shut up and come with me, okay?" She let go of her hand and opened the door.

"Rude," She mumbled walking in. "What? What do you want me to come and see?" She questioned, looking around the room.

Emily smiled and pointed to the wall where her dream board was, but destroyed it due to her anger. "Ta-da! I fixed it!" She let out, letting her walk towards it.

It was just how it was before but slightly better. "You fixed it? Despite how much you know I don't like you?" She asked, still not believing it.

Emily rolled her eyes and walked towards her. "Yes. I did. Because that's what nice people do. You should learn a thing a two from me." She smirked.

Aurora's eyes watered and she watched Emily go on and on about how great she is. She shut her up by wrapping her arms around her and giving her a long tight squeeze. "Thank you," She whispered.

Emily's cheeks went warm as her body was pressed against hers. "N-no problem." She stammered.

*-*-*

Whether or not you can tell, I'm horrible at writing characters I don't like. I really DO NOT like Emily. She's so stupid. So, because of that, I re-did Emily's chapter, like right now. It was meant to be something different.

Duncan was actually a homophobic person and was a guy Emily met at the bus stop right after Aurora turned her down for a date. By the way, what I wrote was like the present. But I was like, 'WTF' so I made this a pretty long chapter (1000 words). It was like 400 words before so I think that's an improvement.

No character aesthetic for Emily. Despite me actually liking this chapter, I don't like Emily.

I was planning on releasing two chapters today but because this is a long chapter...
