    "4000!"

    "5000!"

    "6000!"

Gon huffed. "Would you like to do ten times that amount?" He batted his eyes at his white haired friend.

"Maybe you should" Killua told him. "You started this anyway"

"Maybe you should! I bet you can't do it, that's why"

"Alright, bet! I'll do more than you!"

"No, I'll do more than you!"

"I thought you didn't want to do so many!"

    "W-Well, I changed my mind!"

Aizawa's ears were in need of silence.

It was only the first day of training, so he didn't expect Killua and Gon to get so competitive right off the bat. He had only explained that they would be doing quirk assessments, which were done by Class A on their first day at U.A., but it turned into a shouting contest instead.

What were the two hunters bickering so much about?

They made a bet to see who would get the highest scores on these assessments, and the loser would have to do as many push-ups as the winner tells them to, but for some reason, they just couldn't agree on an amount.

To be honest, Aizawa did think that it was a bit entertaining seeing them get so worked up, but he had to stop it before it became too much to handle. He slowly walked up to Killua and Gon. Then he put his foot underneath theirs to make them trip.

"Huh—" Gon suddenly felt himself trip and fall onto the ground.

"Ha, baka!" Killua stuck out his tongue before realizing that he was falling, too.

"Alright, you two can stop now," Aizawa told them. "Save your push-ups for later. We're moving on, and if you don't stop, I'll make both of you do them until the sun sets"

"Yes, sir!" Gon immediately replied while Killua just groaned.

Aizawa let them go and reached for a device in his bag. He took it out and set up a hologram of numbers. "These are the scores of your classmates from when they did these tests on their first day at U.A. I don't expect very high numbers considering your age and your inexperience, so all I want you to do is try your best. But don't forget, use your quirk to its best advantage. Just because you two are younger doesn't mean that I will go easier on you"

"Don't worry about me, Mr. Aizawa!" Gon stood confidently. "I'll definitely try my best and beat Killua!"

"Not if I beat you first!" Killua argued. Then he turned back to face his teacher. "You said that the first test was a race, right?"

    Aizawa nodded.

"Perfect..." Killua smirked. "You're so gonna lose"

They both glared at each other for a moment before heading to the starting line for the dash. It took them a second to figure out how their nen would become useful in this situation.

Once the scoring system counted down to zero, they both sprinted across the field.

Killua powered up with his electricity, which was something that he just put together, while Gon kept with his normal speed. He couldn't think of something to do with his nen fast enough since it was just a power up.

    "1.76 seconds!"

    "2.24 seconds!"

The system calculated that Killua finished the dash just a few moments before Gon.

"Looks like I won the first one~" Killua put his hands behind his head.

"Well, you'll definitely lose the others!" Gon declared. "You just had a better advantage in this one"

    "We'll see about that..."

The next test was the grip strength. They both were given a gripping device that would calculate how strong their grip was. For this one, Gon had the better advantage with his enhancement.

"This one is my win" Gon stated before activating his nen around his hand. All I have to do is this...! He gripped onto the device so tight that it almost snapped in half.

"Heh, I can do that, too" When Killua gripped his, it had the same effect since he was already quite strong with all of his raw strength, but Gon ended up having a slightly higher score this time.

"I can't believe you guys broke these devices" Mr. Aizawa said as he stared blankly at the devices in his hand. This will make things much more interesting.

"I told you that I'd try my best!" Gon punched his fist into the air. "Now, on to the next test!"

The other tests included the long jump, repeated side steps, ball throw, distance run, toe touches, and sit-ups. Needless to say, Gon and Killua were really going at it even though these were the simplest things that they had ever done.

One moment, Gon was all, This is easy peasy! Killua won't win against me! And the next, he was all, Hmph! I thought for sure I'd win that one!

But Killua just remained chill. He honestly didn't care about the scores he got. He just wanted to beat Gon so that he wouldn't have to do any push-ups.

During this time, Aizawa was definitely surprised and confused as well. He thought it was odd how they both had a lot of strength and speed. It wasn't like this when they did the U.A. entrance exam. He wondered where they got all of that energy from. Must be the wonderful power of youth.

Aizawa went back to paying attention and tried his best to just focus on their quirks instead of worrying about that. He saw little sparks around Killua at times, and he saw Gon's strength increase, so it was visible that they were using them.

    Then, there were their scores...

Aizawa couldn't comprehend them. How was it humanly possible for these two boys, who were younger than all of the students in U.A., to have such high scores? The highest that were calculated were the ones for the ball throw and repeated side jumps. Aizawa didn't know what to make of them, so he brushed it off for the moment. He would be able to talk more about them with Nezu later.

They both surpassed Bakugo... that's sort of hard to believe. And we finished early, too... I guess I'll have to step things up a notch. Once the skills tests were all completed, Aizawa looked at the plans that he had made for the two days of training. Originally, he had today be all about basic quirk training, but now he knew that Killua and Gon were way too advanced for that.

If this is too easy for them, then I guess I'll have to move on to this... Aizawa scratched off everything else on his list and looked at the last thing. This should be able to make them break a sweat. There's no way that they'll pass this without any knowledge, would they?

But little did he know that the two could possibly bring destruction to the city.

"What's this?" Killua asked as he stared up at the large building in front of him.

    "It's a dome," Gon observed.

"Obviously, idiot" Killua rolled his eyes. "I'm not that dumb"

"This is USJ," Aizawa told them. "It stands for Unforeseen Simulation Joint. This is where you'll really be challenged"

    USJ.

This is where Aizawa decided to hold the second half of the hunters's training. Before, this was the last thing on the list if it ever came to it, but after watching Killua and Gon during the quirk assessments, he had to get more information, and this was the perfect spot to get it.

Once they entered the building, Killua and Gon were amazed at how cool the inside looked. There were different sections with a variety of scenarios. Something like this definitely wouldn't have existed back where they came from.

"This looks so cool!" Gon exclaimed. He immediately started to run around the building, admiring all of the different zones. "Woah... I've never seen anything like this! Is this an amusement park or something?"

"This isn't a playground," Aizawa told him. "Those different sections are disaster scenarios. USJ has six different disaster zones which we use to simulate situations for mainly rescuing. Originally, I would have had you two do the simulations on your own, but in this case, you'll be doing more than expected" Aizawa pulled out a target from a bag. "Your class has done something similar to this before, but it would be a hassle to try and set it up again. Instead, I'm having you do combined training"

"Combined training? With what?" Gon questioned.

"Rescue training and combat training. The pro hero Thirteen specifically designed this place for rescue training purposes, but I think it'll be more convenient to combine it with another type since we only have two days before you start having regular hero classes. You two seem like you know your stuff, so instead of making you do things that are too easy, I'm stepping up the level"

Killua and Gon didn't make any sort of comment to that.

"Well..." Aizawa slowly pointed at the target in his hands. "This is the target. One of you will act as the villain while the other acts as the hero. The hero tries to capture or steal the target away from the villain. You can battle against each other if necessary. You'll be doing all of that in addition to trying to get around the simulations"

"I don't know what you're thinking, old man, but this will be easy" Killua cracked his knuckles.

"Yeah!" Gon agreed. "It's basically like a game of tag, right?"

"Sure, if that's what you want to think of it as" Aizawa replied. He didn't tell them any more information because he wanted to see how they would handle this on their own. Once he looked over at Killua and Gon, he noticed that they weren't showing any signs of panic. They must be pretty confident. Let's see if their expressions represent their actions... "But, you are allowed to use your quirk any way you want"

Gon nodded and turned to Killua. "Hey, Killua! Don't go easy on me, okay? I want this to be a fair match!" His face showed determination.

"Then you do the same" Killua had on a likewise expression.

"Which one of you wants to be the villain?" Aizawa asked.

"Ooh, me!" Gon raised his arm. "I'll do it!"

"Pfft, I already know that you're going to fail" Killua snickered.

"Nuh-Uh! I'll make sure that you never lay a hand on the target!" Gon told him confidently.

"I'll be looking forward to it then..." The other's face showcased a smirk.

"You're on, Killua! I'll make sure that you won't win!"

"Then prove it to me," Aizawa called out, interrupting their argument. "If you're going to win, then prove it to me. Both of you can use whatever skills you feel are comfortable. I'm only observing you two so that I know what else you're capable of. Now, go to your designated areas"

Aizawa told them which side of the building they would be on. Killua was near the Mountain Zone while Gon was near the Downpour Zone. They weren't too far apart from each other, but there were still lots of obstacles in their way.

This will surely test their skills. Aizawa was ready to watch them closely. This was harder training than his class has ever done up until now. They've only went through combat training since the last time the rescue training was scheduled, it didn't exactly go so well...

He decided to give Killua and Gon more difficult training because he felt that they could handle it, and he also wanted to analyze multiple things at once. How will they use their quirks in this situation? Are they good at being aware of their surroundings? Can they make quick decisions? Things such as those were being tested by him. Doing this will clear everything up.

~

    Crack.

Killua was cracking his knuckles and smiling to himself. He could see Gon all the way on the other side.

Likewise, Gon was doing the same thing. He couldn't let Killua win this, no matter what.

Even though we're friends, I won't back down from a battle!

    Yeah? Well, I won't either!

The two were sending silent messages through their eyes, waiting for when the signal to start would come.

So, this was the chapter where I didn't really know what to write about. It was hard writing about the training... it made me so frustrated that I had to rewrite it more than 10 times! I didn't know what to add after re-reading it, so I only changed the ending this time. I honestly don't like it very much, but I gave it my best shot.
