Aradhya's POV
I entered the house after a long hectic day. I was tired as hell. I wanted to sleep. I had no energy left to drag myself anymore.
" Walk straight." I heard Asher's voice and turned to see him.
" Why are you following me?" I asked him.
" Cause you can kiss the ground any time now." He said and I rolled my eyes.
" I can do this myself." I said to him.
" Like really?" he asked me chuckling.
" Yes." I said. He shook his head.
But followed me to the door. I let him do that cause I didn't have any energy to fight with him right now. I am done today. We reached the door and found the door was opened already. Has Mom come back earlier today?!! But why?!! I walked inside.
" Come inside. Have a coffee." I said to Asher but he shook head.
" Can you manage yourself to your room or I have to help you?" He asked me and I rolled my eyes.
" No need. You come inside." I said to him.
" Ok then you go. I see you tomorrow." He said and I hold his hand dragging him inside.
" You talk too much." I said to him.
" I talk too much?!" He asked raising his eyebrows. I understood what I said.
" Just come." I said to him. He shook his head and we went inside.
" Maa!!! Maaaaa!!!" I screamed her name.
As soon as I reached the living room my blood boiled at once as I found Mr. Bradley sitting there as well. I looked at him coldly. I didn't want him to scene create before Asher. This is completely my personal issue. I don't want to involve Asher in that. But he knows about my so called father and his intentions. So, it will be ok if he is around but I don't want things gets worst. I tried to control my anger though I wanted to kick this guy out of my house at once.
" Oh, Mr. Bradley!!! Nice to meet you." I said and smiled a bit.
" Mr. Bradley wants to talk to you, Ari." Mom said and I nodded.
" Have a seat Asher." I said and he sat across Mr. Bradley.
" Yes, what is that, Mr. Bradley?" I asked him and looked at him closely this time.
He was looking like he hasn't slept properly these days. He had dark circles around his eyes. I don't know what is bothering him but anyways. He is our enemy. Even if I show him kindness for humanity he will definitely try to harm us in return. We shouldn't trust him.
" What do you want to talk to me, Mr. Bradley? And why are you here alone today? You should be with your clients. Where are they today?" I asked him and he sighed.
" Can we talk personally for awhile?" Mr. Bradley asked me. I sighed deeply.
" You can talk here. There is no personal talking to you in private. I don't trust you." I said to him.
" Ari!!! Behave." Mom said softly holding my hand and I turned to see her. She nodded. I sighed deeply.
" There is no talking to Mr. Bradley in private. If he wants to talk to me then he can talk to me here or else there is no need to talk." I said to Mom. He sighed deeply.
" Your father wants to have you back, Ms. Roy. You are living with your mother for 17 years. Don't you think your father too deserve a chance?" He asked me.
" Why?! To kill me?" I asked him. He kept looking at me silently for awhile. I rolled my eyes. " I have informed you my decision already. I hope next time we will meet in the courtroom." I said to him and he looked at me weirdly.
" I know you will think about it like that but I was talking about the possibilities of the results of the case." He said.
" Ok. Why hasn't he come back before? He kicked us out from his house without any reason and we suffered a lot that night." I said to him. " Anyways, he might have nothing left for my mom but I was his own daughter. He didn't think about me as well. I have explained you everything already. So, please don't talk about it again. Suddenly from where his love for me woke up?" I asked him. " Where was he all these days when I needed him? When I needed support my mother was always there not him. So, now I don't need him in my life as well. He is nothing to me." I said.
" But he is your father." He said and I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
" Ok, let me tell you a story. When I was 9, I fall terribly sick. I was taken to the hospital and we found out that I got both of my kidneys damaged. We couldn't find any donors and my mom was in Dubai that time. So, my father and his family were informed but none of them responded except my aunt whose unfortunately didn't match with me. My father. Yes, my father about whom you are talking about, that person was so busy on his honeymoon trip with his wife. He had no time for me. He told my aunt that he doesn't even care if I am dead. That time my mother left her job and went back to India. She gave me one of her kidneys. And you can see me alive today to drag my mother to the courtroom making me an issue. You know what!!! Everyone can turn back to you but not your mother. I will not leave my mother for anyone. Your words can't change my mind. I am not a 5 years old kid that you can tell me that he will buy me chocolates so I should live with his. I know what's right and what's wrong. It will be better if you stay in your limit. Act professional. You are hired for the case and you should not visit us frequently. Your face makes me hate you and my father even more." I said and Mr. Bradley kept looking at me for awhile then stood up.
" I will be leaving." He said and left.
" Ari.." Mom was saying but I shook my head.
" I don't want to insult him, Mom. I don't think he will be around anymore." I said and turned to see Asher. He was looking out of the window thinking about something. I sighed. I didn't want to scene create before him but I had no other options left.
