It was early the following morning. Lucy and Jenny were making their way to the factory. Lucy was to start making Rose's dress, and while she did that, she trusted Charlie to keep her younger sister company.
"I can't believe we're really going inside the factory!" Jenny said excitedly.
"I know!" Lucy smiled at the young girl. "And I can't believe I'm really going to make a dress out of cotton candy"
"You can make a dress out of anything, Lu" They approached the front gates and noticed four more people waiting. "Look, there's other people here" Jenny pointed them out.
"They must be Rose, Willy and Charlie's other friends" Lucy concluded.
Priscilla took notice of the two new people as they approached. She offered a friendly smile. "Hello"
"Hi" Lucy greeted back with a small wave. "You must be Rose's friends"
"Oh, you're Lucy!" Priscilla realized. "The one who is making the cotton candy dress" Lucy nodded at that. Then, she went around introducing everyone. "I'm Priscilla, and this is Danny, Eleanor, and Felix"
"Nice to meet you all" Lucy said, acknowledging everyone with a wave. "I'm Lucy, and this is my little sister, Jenny"
"Hi" Jenny waved to everyone.
"Oh, she's so cute!" Eleanor gushed over the girl.
"Is there anything you don't find cute?" Felix asked.
"You" Eleanor responded all straight faced. Everyone else knew that she was clearly joking, but Felix didn't quite catch on to that and he frowned. "I'm kidding, Felix! You're the cutest thing in the world"
Felix blushed at that. "Oh, Ellie"
Lucy was quick to notice the violin case that Eleanor was carrying. "You play the violin?"
"I do!" Eleanor answered proudly. "I'm in charge of all the music"
"I'm hoping I'm not too late" A new voice joined in. Everyone turned to see that Harry had joined them. Eleanor, Danny and Felix all shares unsure glances with each other. But, Priscilla welcomed him with a smile.
"Harry!" She greeted him. "Actually, you're quite early. We all are"
"Er, Harry" Danny said to him. "What are you doing here?"
"Priscilla and I are working together on the decorations" Harry explained. "I'm handling all the floral arrangements"
Felix crossed his arms over his chest. "Well, as long as you're not here to cause trouble"
"Guys, Rose asked him to be here" Priscilla explained to everyone. Lucy and Jenny just shared confused glances as they didn't know why everyone was so skeptical of this man. "She's starting to trust him, I'm starting to trust him, and you guys should too. He means no harm, and he just wants to give Rose and Willy a special day to remember. Like all of us do"
Harry gave Priscilla a smile, and then his attention turned to Lucy. His mouth fell open when he saw her. Lucy looked back at him and she flashed him a smile. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe we've met before" He said to her.
"I'm Lucy" She introduced herself.
"Lucy" Harry repeated her name. He grabbed her hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you. I'm Harry"
"Hi Harry" Lucy said. Jenny cleared her throat and then tugged on her sister's coat. "Oh, this is my sister, Jenny"
"Nice to meet you, Jenny" Harry nodded at the girl.
Jenny curtsied to him. "You too, Harry" She noticed the way he was staring at her sister. She leaned in to whisper to Lucy. "I think he likes you!"
Lucy blushed. "He does not!"
"And you like him!"
"Do not!"
That's when the gates opened and the blonde bride-to-be came out to greet them. "My friends!" Rose chirped happily.
She was dressed quite nicely today in a short red dress with a ruffled skirt, a bowed collar and short puffy sleeves. She topped it off with a striped black, silver buttoned vest. A silver W was pinned just above her left breast. She wore black boots, and of course, her hat and gloves, with her candy-cane cane in hand.
Lucy couldn't help but be bright eyed at her outfit. "You always dress so nicely!" She complimented.
Rose grinned, looking down at her outfit. "Thank you! Willy and I always coordinate our outfits together" She motioned for everyone to follow her inside. "Come, come. Let's not dilly or dally. We've got a busy day ahead of us"
Everyone followed Rose inside, setting foot into the lobby. There were a few Oompa-Loompas waiting. She greeted them and they greeted her back. They also said something to her, which caused her to smile. Rose then turned to address her friends again. "The Oompa-Loompas say they are very excited to work with you guys. And anything you guys need, just let one of them know and they'll either come find me or Willy. Now, let's start with you, Lucy"
Lucy nodded and stepped forward. One of the Oompa-Loompas also stepped forward. Rose leaned over and spoke to the Oompa-Loompa first. "This is Lucy. You'll be helping her make the dress" The Oompa-Loompa nodded and then started whispering in Rose's ear. She then stood up and turned to Lucy. "He says it's very nice to meet you and that they're very excited to be making the dress with you"
Lucy smiled at the Oompa-Loompa. "It's nice to meet you too, and I know that together, we'll make an amazing dress" The Oompa-Loompa bowed to Lucy and then gave a gentle tug to her dress.
"He wants you to follow him" Rose said. "They have a space prepared where you'll be working"
Lucy nodded, but before she went off with the Oompa-Loompa, she turned to Jenny. "I trust that you'll behave yourself?"
"I will, Lu" Jenny promised.
Lucy looked at the Oompa-Loompa again. "Lead the way!" She followed after the Oompa-Loompa.
"Eleanor!" Rose shouted her name excitedly. It caused Eleanor to jump a bit, but she stepped forward. So did another Oompa-Loompa. "You remember Eleanor?" Rose asked him, and he nodded. "Great!" She spoke to Eleanor again. "We have the most musically talented Oompa-Loompas at your disposal. Any instrument you want them to play, any piece you want them to perform, they can do it"
"Yay!" Eleanor cheered and clapped. "I'm so excited!" She followed the Oompa-Loompa.
That just left one more Oompa-Loompa in the room, and it stepped in front of Priscilla and Harry. "Harry and Priscilla," Rose started, stepping beside the Oompa-Loompa. She faced her two friends. "The Oompa-Loompas are offering a hand in helping you two decorate, should you need it"
"That would be great, thank you" Priscilla said to the Oompa-Loompa.
"And my father is willing to help too. All you need to do is ask" Rose mentioned.
"Er, Rose" Harry spoke up nervously. She looked at him. "Your family.... do they know I'm here? The last time I saw them, they weren't happy to see me"
"I talked to them" Rose explained. "They aren't too pleased about the fact that you're here helping me, but they support it because it's for me"
Harry nodded. Then, he looked to Priscilla. "Well, what are we waiting for? The sooner we can get to work, the better"
"Exactly what I was thinking" Priscilla said. She linked her arm with his. "Let's get to it!"
"Oh, and if you're in the mood for a snack, just remember everything in the room is edible" Rose reminded them.
Harry furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, and he looked to Priscilla. "What is she talking about?"
Priscilla smirked knowingly. "She hasn't told you about the meadow, has she?" Harry shook his head. "Oh, just you wait and see!" With that, the two of them followed the Oompa-Loompa into the chocolate room.
"Now, you two" Rose addressed Danny and Felix. "I feel like you two have the most important job of all. It'll be a lot of food to make, and I just want to thank you guys for offering to help my mother with all the cooking"
Danny smiled and pat Rose on the shoulder. "It's our pleasure, Rose"
"And Mrs Bucket it always so kind to us, this is a kind thing we can do for her" Felix added.
Rose couldn't help but smile. She loved when her family was treated with such kindness. "You guys know where the house is. Just make sure you knock"
With that, Danny and Felix made their way to the Bucket house. Now, the only person left was young Jenny. Rose turned to her with the biggest smile on her face. "Since your sister will be busy for most of the day, I figured I could show you around the factory"
Jenny's eyes lit up. "Really!?"
"Yep!" Rose nodded. She grabbed Jenny's hand and they walked down the hallway. "Willy and Charlie are in the Inventing Room waiting for us. I've got the boat waiting to take us there"
"Boat?" Jenny asked curiously. Rose didn't say anything else. Instead, she pushed the door to the Chocolate Room open. There was no stopping the smile from appearing on her face when she heard the audible gasp of amazement from the little girl.
