Kai woke up groggy and sluggish. He slowly woke up looked around. He was in some sort of room that looked like something for a seven year old. It was red, had toys here and there, bed sheets that had sports balls on it, and he had a vengestone bracelet on. He looked too the side and saw another empty bed with mermaid designs and was blue with stuff for a little girl. It gave Kai de javu of his old room at the forge that he shared with Nya until she insisted on her own room.
"Did I break in a kids room and fall asleep?" Kai asks out loud the earlier having not caught up on him. The door too the room opened and Kai looked seeing the man and woman from earlier peer in at him. "Kai honey how's your booboo?" Oceana came in and looked at his wound that Kai only just noticed had been carefully bandaged. "Get away from me," Kai growls pushing her away. "Don't speak to your mother that way," Vulcan said. "You are not my parents. My parents abandoned me a long time ago. Even if you are my parents why should I welcome you with open arms? You left a seven year old too watch over his little sister all alone," Kai snaps at them crossing his arms and turning away. "Honey we never meant too leave you. We did it all for your safety," Oceana said. "What?" Kai looks at them with a raised eyebrow. "We were forced too leave you. But believe us you and your sister are all we have thought about since we left," Vulcan explains. "Than why didn't you ever try to come back?" Kai asks. "We wanted too we really did, but if we did than you both would have been hurt or worse. We could never risk it, but now we have the power too get your sister back and we can be a big happy family again. All we need is too get Hawkmoth and Pythor the realm crystal and jewels," Oceana said. "Wait Pythor's in on this? You cannot do that if they get any one of those artifacts then everything is doomed," Kai said. "You will understand when you are older son. Now me and your mother are going to pick up your sister be good while we are gone," Vulcan said.
They started leaving, but Kai got up and tried too stop them or find the stupid akuma. Oceana put a water sheild up by the door trapping him. Kai groans and sat down. "I hate needing too be rescued. Getting kidnapped every other day is Lloyd's job," Kai mutters too himself.
The ninja
Everything was really hectic. Nya was destroying the training bots and Lloyd was trying too get her inside so they could sleep. It was after dinner and everyone was concerned for Nya's well being. It was like everything involving her parents that she kept bottled up was being unleashed onto those training bots.
"Nya come on your no good too anyone tired," Sensei Wu said as Nya took out the last of the bots. "Fine," Nya agrees going inside. "Jay make sure she actually get's some sleep," Wu said. "On it," Jay said following after her. With nothing left everyone retired too sleep.
Marionette could not sleep though so she just wanders around the temple until she saw Adrien. He was staring out the window and he looked at her. She tried leaving before he said. "M'lady wait," She pauses. "Are we not gonna talk about it?" Adrien asks. "I have no idea what there is too talk about," Marionette said. "Marionette we should talk about this," Adrien said. "I would rather not," Marionette said. "Are you disappointed? Are you disappointed I'm Cat Noir?" Adrien asks looking down. "What no! I just......okay I'm embarrassed. You sat behind me nearly every day of class and never did I ever think you were Cat Noir even though there were so many signs. And I'm scared," Marionette admits. "Scared?" Adrien inquires. Marionette turns to leave. "Never mind," Marionette said. "Marionette wait," But she had already left Adrien in the room to silently think.
As Marionette walked down the halls she heard quiet crying. She peered in through the door of a room to see Lloyd was crying in his sleep mumbling some stuff. Marionette quickly came in and when she got within a foot Lloyd's eyes flew open and he bolted up with a scream. When he realized it was Marionette he calmed down. "Are you okay?" Marionette asks. Lloyd does not answer. "Just go to sleep," He said. "You miss Kai?" Marionette asks. Lloyd winces, but nods. "I know your closer with the others and all, but do you want to talk about it?" Marionette asks timidly. Lloyd does not answer. "Look I get that you are a hero and don't want to look weak, but I know if you keep this bottled up you won't be able to help anyone," Marionette said. Lloyd was silent before deflating. "I always have nightmares every night some worse than others," Lloyd admits. Marionette sat next to him on the bed. "I started having them after I was revealed to be the green ninja. I was only a kid I was only ten all I wanted was too eat candy and play with other kids. Kai he saved me from a volcano and ever since than I had a massive crush on him. I didn't really realize it was a crush until Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane got deaged by my dad to kids my age," Lloyd cracks a small smile. "I looked at him and I thought he was cute. I had always been closer to him than the others, but I just found him so cute with everything and every way he acted," Lloyd admits. "When I got turned older by this magic potion with them I became the same age as Kai," Lloyd was interrupted. "Wait how old are you?" Marionette asks. "Yeah that is a topic of debate, but the point is. I was told I needed to work harder to become the green ninja to control my powers. But I was still mentally a kid who just wanted to show off for their crush. That was the only reason I trained until things started getting real," Lloyd sighs having a far away look clearly he was just talking not even realizing Marionette was there anymore.
"We were trying to stop the final battle from happening and we failed. We got cornered on a cliff and the cliff started breaking. We were going to fall, but I saw that Kai was not going to fall with us. I knew what was going to happen if I didn't grab him. He would be infected with dark matter, terrible stuff, so I pushed past Nya and grabbed him back, but in doing so Nya had gotten captured and she was infected. Kai was so broken by her capture and so was Jay. I just felt so guilty for making them feel that way. We won the battle and everything was well and good I even got my dad back. But the nightmares started getting to the point I couldn't sleep at night. While visiting Kai I mentioned it and he gave me a teddy bear to sleep with. It smelled just like him and it made the nightmares bearable, no pun intended. Then stuff just kept happening and during a mission Kai met Skylor and.......he chose her. I tried to act tough and that I was happy, but my heart just kept breaking every time somebody mentioned her. Everyone loved her when she tried getting us killed! I still don't see what Kai ever saw in her. My dad died and I had no one to go to. Everyone thought I would brush it off, but he was dead. I think Kai might have tried to help, but I snapped at a lot of people during that time. Anyway when I got kidnapped by a ghost who possessed me he plagued me with nightmares and visions. I could never get them out of my head when I was rescued it got to the point I didn't sleep at all. One night after everything Kai came and he let me sleep in his bed," Lloyd sighs. "He sleeps in your bed every night?" Marionette asks and Lloyd nodded blushing. "Whenever I sleep with someone nearby the nightmares stop. I was always to embarrassed to ask anyone else though so Kai let me sleep in the same room with him. It's like you and Adrien. One can't function without the other," Lloyd said finishing.
"Okay one that is cute and two me and Adrien are not together," Marionette said. "Give it some time you will realize," Lloyd said. Marionette blushes. "I know what you guys do is so much harder than what me and Cat Noir does, but if you ever need some help or fixing up. Feel free the ring us," Marionette said with a playful punch to his shoulder and Lloyd smiles. "Want to get some milk? Helps me fall asleep after a nightmare," Marionette said. Lloyd nodded. "Yeah good idea," Lloyd said. They got up and Marionette has to suppress a awe at Lloyd wearing a oversized red hoodie that definitely belonged to Kai. Lloyd did not notice and walked down the hallway with Marionette when they stopped outside the door of the spare room Adrien and Nino were sleeping in.
It was a horrific sight to see Nino wrapped in a water tentacle with his mouth covered as Oceana tried to grab Adrien who was somehow dodging all her attempts in the small room. Lloyd quickly hit the alarm and the alarm sounded waking everyone up. Oceana turned to look at them and growls at the sight of Lloyd. "You hurt my baby boy," She growls in the protective way of a mother. She unwrapped Nino who fell to the floor and gasps taking in a deep breath. Oceana shot it at Lloyd and he blocks it making a energy shield for himself and Marionette.
"Forget them just get my son,"
Hawkmoth yells at her. Oceana grunts in response with a eye roll and turns back to getting Adrien finding him gone. She looks seeing Adrien had snuck over to the others with Nino as the other ninja arrived. "Adrien why didn't you transform?!" Alya asks in annoyance at him. "I can't find Plag," Adrien defends. "Well then guess it's time for Tikki and I-wait Tikki?" Marionette looks around seeing Tikki was not with her either. "Where did our kawmi's go?" Marionette and Adrien both asked at the same time.
The Kwamis
Plagg was currently being a absolute plague on the local cheese factory's canibar department as Tikki was trying to get him to go back to their masters. "Plagg come on we need to go before someone finds us," Tikki urges the cat kwami. "Oh don't worry sugar cube I am sure everything is fine," Plag waves off as he took another bite of cheese. "Besaides how many times can you eat caninbar from another dimension?" Plag asks in glee making Tikki facepalm.
Back with the others
The fight had been moved outside as the Ninja tried to find the akumatized object. Marionette and Adrien felt so useless and wished Plagg and Tikki would just show up. Lloyd was facing the brunt of Oceana's attacks since he accidently hurt Kai earlier and was mostly using his shields, Cole was holding back so he did not break the island apart so he was often pushed back, Zane and Jay's powers were having the most affect on Oceana and Wu was keeping the four teenagers safe.
"Hey where's Vulcan?" Nino asks. It was that moment they realized Nya was nowhere in sight. Marionette bolted up and back into the temple and almost tripped as she got to Nya's room. She saw Nya was wrapped in chains as her akumatized father pulls her out albeit with several bruises. "Come on sweetie we're gonna see your brother than we can be a happy family again," Vulcan said to his daughter. "Dad! Please listen to me! You and mum need to give up the akumas," Nya urges. "Then how are we supposed to protect you and your brother? You'll understand when your older honey," Vulcan responds. "Let her go," Marionette yells and Vulcan turns smirking at the girl. "Sorry, but Nya is grounded no friends over," Vulcan said. Marionette looked around and saw a fire hose next to the door. "Well then guess I just got to break her out," Marionette grabs the hose and turned it on spraying Vulcan. It was a lot more powerful than she thought and it smashed him into the back of the room leaving him dazed. Marionette quickly got Nya out of the chains. "Why do you have a fire house in the hallway?" Marionette asks. "Kai only knows how to start fires and I can't be around all the time," Nya shrugs and Marionette smiles. "Let's go," Marionette said and the two girls ran before Vulcan came too.
