Kim's POV
"My life is a mess"Sun said all drunk and tipsy staggering on the slab in the club house
"Sun wallowing in self pity isn't gonna help"I tried to advice her
"You think....this...is self pity?, Kim I'm tired of waiting for my dad to wake up explaining to us what really happened on that day, the day of the accident.My dad doesn't deserve this, maybe my mom! does" Sun was furious
"I wanna end this life" I feared for Sun this time hearing that from her
"Oh Enough Sun, stop this wallowing. Don't you think i go through the same thing." Min made a point
"This isn't the solution" Min tried to reason with Sun
"You, you have no right to tell me not wallow in my self pity, where were you when I needed you beside me you chose your quagmire of a family" Sun lamented
"Hey" Min called to her (statement to be continued...)
An hour later, we had to leave the bar. Sun was all drunk, she couldn't stand on her feet. We took her by her shoulders carefully tucking her into the back seat. I sat with her. Min had no choice but to sit next to the driver.
"I can't take her home alone tonight, not in her condition" I didn't wanna leave her feeling all alone and sad
"I know a place" Min just found is a quick solution i hope
"Mrs Kim?!" The driver exclaimed warning me about my husband
"Jun Young, I'm your boss's wife. I get to order you around today, since he left all the duties to me before leaving unfortunately" I commanded
"You didnt have to remind me" I bet Min wasn't happy hearing me call Kim my husband
"Its Joon Young not Jun Young" The driver corrected me mumbling as he ignited the engine driving us off the premises.
Min asked Joon Young to take a place. We got into the compound all cold and exhausted. It was late in the night. It seemed like Joon Young knew where we are. I took my purse out from the car where I left it and followed after.
Min led us up the stairs, carrying Sun;like a baby. The driver led us up opening the door for us.
"God is she weighty" Min whined adjusting Sun on his arms
"Men" I mocked bobbling my head
After some moments, we, i and Sun stayed in a room Min put us in. Sun had already passed out leaving me to tend to her, cleaning her up with a wet towel and changing her clothes into the night gowns Min gave us each. I felt Min watching from behind.
"I see you came to check on us" I said to him making him come closer facing us.
"You still haven't told me anything about this place and where you got these....God... comfortable night gowns from" I asked Min stylishly but he wasn't ready to give a reply and I understood pushing my lips inward.
"How's she?" Min was concerned
"Wallowing, she's really got a lot on her plate, the weight is just too huge for her to bear" I responded dropping the towel aside
"She never told you the truth did she?" Min said to me going towards to window
"What do u mean?" I was really curious as to why he said that
"Haven't you thought to reason why she quit her job and didn't bother looking for another" I was confused by what he just said
"But she just quit her job" I said to him getting up from the bed
"Exactly" he gave a quick response turning his gaze at me
"Her family never needed her help. Her mom runs the family business and her insurance never ran out, she still has pretty much from it" Min exposed the shocking truth to me
I was perplexed by what Min has just revealed to me
"I know I just uncovered a big secret, she never wanted you to know about it anytime sooner, hope you didn't make a mistake" Min said to me
A guilty me stammered hesitating to give a response
"Me? Mistake?" I managed to say something, thinking he already knows about my deal
Min adjusted his pace glaring at me.
"I don't know.You tell me" Min shrugged placing his two hands on my shoulder for a second before taking taking it away
I wasn't ready to say anything to him and he understood
Sooner or later I'll find out" Min said in surety getting me more guilty and confused
I bent my head down in shock and regret
"It was all for nothing" I mumbled to myself leaving an appalling expression on my face
"What was?" Min asked
"N...no, I meant she didnt have to lie to me or better hide the truth from me, we're like sisters" I covered the truth up once again
Min came towards me drawing me back to the window side
"Sun needs you now more than ever. This is not the time to focus on her flaws, she really loves you. She just had a hard time bothering you with all her problems" Min encourage
"I guess she learnt from me" I admitted
"That might be true" He agreed
"Hmm...you know all that's coming from a guy who just exposed all her secrets" I gave him a judgy look
"That's because I know you love her and you're willing to do whatever it takes to help your loved ones not just Sun" Min said grabbing my hand once again. He talked like he already knew what I had done for her, but I'm happy he hasn't found out the truth.
"And thats basically the reason why I can't do without you, I need a gem like you in my life" Min confessed to me making me to speechless
"I'm...so....sorry...I know that was too forward" Min apologized reluctantly
"Aww who said I wasn't a gem. As long as its Emerald" I joked, noticing his innocent smirk on his face
Narrator's POV
Kim Hyun joong was in his rented car watching them from the window just across the street.
Kim's POV
"Sun is lucky to have you as a brother you know. Even though you can be a proud freaking cute prince who finds it hard to say the magic words" I held his hand more tight smiling but Min just kept staring at me
All of a sudden he drew me closer trapping me in his torso as he leaned his head giving me a passionate kiss on the lips. I couldn't resist reciprocating the kiss sucking on his tongue.
Narrator's POV
Kim Hyun Joong was torn apart apart and devastated from what he saw. He screamed in his car punching and hitting his steering non stop in anger and frustration.
Kim's POV
I didnt want him to stop but something ranged in my thoughts making me retract from the kiss.
"Min" I called his name like I just knew him escaping from his embrace, moving three steps away from him.
"I know you want this" Min said to me
"I do! But...." I didnt know what to say
"What's stopping you?" Min asked yearning
"I'm married Min..." I said to him
"Thats not a marriage Kim,its a sham. He doesn't love you. Why can't you just tell me how to two ended up together already?" Min wanted to know so badly, I can see it in his eyes
"I just can't" I gave him a quick
answer turning my face away as a signal for him to leave
"We shouldn't be doing this to Sun" I added feeling more guilty
He understood and walked towards the door, turning his back to say something to me
"Sun, she isn't just like a sister to you,she is a sister to you and she would want to you to be happy too" Min added leaving me hanging.
I left an appaling expression on my face once again. I looked at Sun for a minute and turned my gaze to where the switch was.
Narrator's POV
Kim Hyun Joong watched in tears until he saw the lights go off from the window.
Kim's POV
It was 3am, but I couldn't sleep. I slept next to Sun on the bed staring at her in pity. I flipped her hair to the sides smiling slightly.
Min's POV
I was in my father's room sitting next to him watching his nearly lifeless body.
I had a flashback of Sun in the bar, last night.
"Hey!, that family you call quagmire showed you love and affection once. I should be the one in this state all drunk and tossed into the gutter for finding out the truth that my love is my sister" As soon as I said it Sun, she burst into tears but I couldn't bear it, Kim also couldn't. I went over to hug and console her but she passed out instead on me.
I switched and had a flashback of my passionate kiss with Kim. It was calm and for a mili second of the kiss I felt safe feeling the warmth of our embrace.
I stopped the flashbacks this time with tears folded up in my eyes but they wouldn't fall.
Kim's POV
I left our room touring the duplex. I finally got to a room and saw a door slightly opened noticing the reflection of lights shinning from the room. I went closer and and saw Min's back, he was sitting beside a man on the bed connected to a life system, but Min was seated on a chair beside him.
"Could he be his father?" I thought to myself
"Is there such thing as a perfect love story father?" I heard Min say to the man, I felt the pain in his statement
I went in without his notice touching his shoulder, he didnt flinch but instead held my hand on his shoulder, drawing me forward to look at him. I bent down and hugged him tightly
"Min I'll be always be here for you no matter what. I wanna be there to protect you from being hurt" I promised him
"I'm afraid that promise might be hard for you to fulfill" He said looking at his dad
For the next hours, I and Min stayed with his dad watching over him.
Its was 5am and we sat on the cushion across the room with Min laying his head on my shoulders.
"Joong Young!" I exclaimed mispronouncing his name again
Min raised his head up and turned towards me, I guess he noticed it.
"That guy need to keep his job. You need to go" Min was understanding as ever
"Min I wish I could stay here all day with you and Sun" I apolgised to Min
"You're not going back to L.A anytime soon" He joked dragging me up from the cushion.
We met Joon Young all dressed up waiting up for me in the living room.
"Thank you sir for the hospitality. I really enjoyed the guest room" Joon Young showed his appreciation
"I should be thanking you for risking your job for your boss's wife" Min responded
"That's right. I do owe you big time Joon Young" I added moving towards him
"Tell Sun I love her" I concluded waving goodbye, Min only smirked at me instead
The driver tried his best to rush us home fast. As soon as I opened the door with the keys and closed the behind me, I met my husband standing a few steps away from me with his arms crossed looking furious.
I got scared at first but I didn't show it.
"I thought you didnt wanna leave the house" He asked me firmly
"I guess I changed my mind" I said heading up to the stairs
"Joon Young has alot to answer..." Kim tried to talk but I interrupted him
"Leave Joon Young alone, if you have anything to say, face me" I said to him pausing my steps on the stairs
"Its Joon Young" He corrected
"Whatever smart pants. I need some rest" I tried to ignore the discussion heading to my room
"Kim!" He called out my name following me up. I slid my door opened with force. He grabbed my hand turning my gaze at him
"Let go of me!" I screamed at him pulling my arms away from his grip
"Do you have something to say to me?" He asked, at first I thought about my outing. I bet he doesn't know.
"Kim I don't have time for this" I said to him trying to avoid the question flinging my purse on my bed
he approached me pulling my jacket a little to check me out
I didn't understand why he was doing that which made me him away
"Kim, i'm gonna ask you again" he said to me moving a step backward staring at me
"What have I done to make you hate me this much?" Kim asked pulling his right hand forward
"Despicable things that makes me regret my actions. Sun never needed my help did she?" I tried to ask but he ignored my question
"Fine. You got no answers, then I got none" I concluded pulling my jacket off.
We haven't forgotten Kim Hyun Joong's aunt
Kim Hyun Joo(Kim Hyun Joong's Aunt) POV
"Mom, my cousin's wife really looks awesome in these photos" My son said showing me Kimberly's instagram photos.
We were both seated in the living room, with him lying on the 3 sitter cushion.
"Will you have proper manners son and sit upright?" I cautioned him but he was way drowned into his phone
"Mmm mmm. Could she be a model?" Kim Ji Bin asked curiously
"She had a life before getting married to your cousin" I gave him a blunt reply having something else on my mind
Suddenly my husband came in all exhausted looking like he could strangle someone's neck.
"I tried to go over and kiss him but he pushed me away pulling his tie off his neck aggressively. But i noticed something odd about his perfume, it smelled fresh.
"What are you doing here with your mother. You should be in your room away from distractions. If you truly are my son, then you do what I tell you" He said harshly heading towards his room.
Kim Ji Bin came close to me patting my back calming my anger and disgust towards my husband down. I knew he was seeing another woman.
Min's POV
The next morning, I watched Sun waking up to the reflection from the window.
"When were you going to wake up?" I asked Sun who was all tired and sleepy, she yawned and squinted her nose, rubbing her eyes to see clearly.
"You" she responded hugging the pillow
"You look adorable in the morning little sis" I teased crossing my leg
"Ignoring the crazy tipsyness you got your best friend in trouble for" I said to her
"Where's Kim?!, is she alright?" I knew Sun was concerned for Kim answering to my cousin when she gets home
"My cousin isn't home, she told me that herself and even if he is, she can take care of herself unlike you" I teased again
"I've always been dependant" She joked back
"And what is your step mom going to say about you bringing uninvited guests home?" Sun reminded me
"You have nothing to worry about. Just take some few minutes to rest. I'll drop you off at home" I concluded leaving the room immediately
2hrs later, Sun was already dressed and downstairs with me ready to take our leave when the door finally opened.
"Min" she called to me
"Bo Young" I called her back.
"I left you home for a day to watch over your father and you took that as an advantage to bring in uninvited guest" She said calmly enough
"She's family" I said to her dragging Sun away going past her
"She's the reason your father is in this condition" She judged Sun getting me all angry. I turned to give her a reply.
"My father caused this for himself, you only chose to be an image of his failure" I said furiously to her dragging Sun out as we faded into the Sunlight.
Kim Sang's POV
I was outside at the mansion with Soo Jin ready to leave with my car. It was pretty early enough for break fast time in the morning.
"You have to do this" Soo Jin said calmly cupping my cheek
"I need you to be safe" She added
"The huntress misses her watch dog already" I joked holding her hand, slowly pulling it away from my cheek
"I'll take care of your brothers" She assured me
"Leave that to me" I concluded entering my car firing it up forward and away from the big compound with screeching sounds followed.
