He's lying on his bed silently staring at the wall. Mostly into space but you get the idea. Akiteru questioned him very heavily while trying to fix his face and inevitably his mother saw and also got into his space to help and ask way too many questions for his tired brain. He got scolded for not telling her sooner and his brother was yelled at for trying to get his mother to stop scolding him. Needless to say he had the worst headache he's ever had, even if it's been a day. He wants it to go away but it won't. No matter his efforts. Headache pills. Calming music. Sleeping.

He needs it to go away so he can organise his thoughts by Friday. If it doesn't, he's fucked.

"Damn it." He snarled at nothing and got up, making his way downstairs with the railing and finding his way into the kitchen. Atleast he knew his house layout so he could do stuff as long as nobody moved anything around.

He made himself some green tea. Just as he was taking a sip Akiteru walked in. When you're familiar with someone who know who's coming by the sound of their footsteps. He could literally feel the pitying smile that was directed at him.

"Aki. Stop it." Tsukishima snapped.

"Stop what?" Akiteru asked smugly.

"I don't need your pity." He brought the cup back to his lips and took another sip.

"Well I don't need you're attitude but here we are." His brother walked around the kitchen and got a bag of something. Then opened it and he could smell doritos.

"You're going to become a fatass."

"Shhhhh. Let me suffer." His sibling laughed.

"You thought about what you're going to tell Yamaguchi yet?" Tsukishima flinched, nearly dropping his cup.

"How'd you know about that?" He sighed as he stared at the floor. Or pretended to.

"You just told me."

"Of course." He was slightly pissed now but he let it slide. There wasn't much he could do about it now.

"Yeah but seriously did you?" Akiteru ate a dorito.

"No, I have a headache." He said blankly. He swears his brother teleported across the kitchen. Then a cabinet opened and he was suddenly in front of him. He raised an eyebrow.

"Eat it." Akiteru took one of his hands and gave him a pill.

"You think I didn't try one of these already?" Tsukishima said sarcastically.

"When?" His brother cocked an eyebrow.

"Yesterday."

"Try again." He didn't have the energy to argue with him. So he just shoved the pill in his mouth and used his tea to swallow it. By that time he decided to go back to his room and lock himself away from everyone. He shut his eyes and eventually fell asleep.

---

When he woke up it was Wednesday. Two more days. He was overjoyed to find his headache finally grabbed its things and left. Well if you looked at him you wouldn't say he's very happy at all but he was.

'Ah right now how to explain.'

Well Aria used to be his best friend so that was a start. He recalls nobody in his school back then wanted to talk to her or him for whatever reason. Honestly that was the first red flag that he ignored. She always called him Kei despite him telling her not to. Then half of his stuff went missing but he thought he lost it. Then Akiteru intervened and chaos ensued. She kept texting him. He blocked her. She came up to them the one time. He was honestly fine with her insults until they were directed at Yamaguchi. Then the time she found him at break and kept ripping off his headphones.

When she slapped him, he grabbed his wrist and tried to push her away but ultimately ended up punching her. The way she yelped when he did, he must've hurt her wrist too. Not that he could see what damage he did.

Honestly there wasn't much to it. She was an asshole. He didn't like it. That was hypocritical since he was also an asshole but he was a different kind of asshole. He wouldn't do anything she did, even if it'd kill him for not doing it.

He wondered why he didn't just say all of this when Yamaguchi asked. Then again he was really bad at this type of shit. He wants Aria to leave so his problems can go away. Since he can't pretend this problem doesn't exist and continue with his life. This problem gets in his face and makes sure he knows it's there.

Akiteru came up to his door and knocked.

"Kei! Your glasses are going to be ready later. We have to go pick them up so make sure you're decent." Tsukishima grumbled a response as he got up and went to his cupboard, grabbing a random outfit and putting it on. He didn't care what he looked like since he didn't own anything ridiculous to accidentally put on.

'How damn fast does that glasses manufacturer work? Now I have to go school tomorrow....'

Well now he has to awkwardly face Yamaguchi until the end of school on Friday. Maybe he should also confess to Yamaguchi so that's out of the way. That slim chance of Yamaguchi actually liking him made Tsukishima laugh at his wishful thinking. If Yamaguchi had feelings then they certainly faded by now. Especially with the whole Aria thing.

He came out of his room and was dragged out the house into a car faster then he could say knife. His mother was driving and Akiteru was in the back with him. He had no idea why but he was. He stared out a window at what he could see. Green flashed past and alot of other colours but that was as interesting at it got.

"So you think of your explanation?" Akiteru broke the silence.

"Yes." He replied plainly.

"Ah so the headache is gone." He could feel the smug expression his brother was wearing. He turned to glare in that direction.

"Jeez. Salty french fry." Akiteru laughed and flicked his forehead.

"I am not a french fry." He stated blankly as he rubbed his forehead.

"Love how you didn't deny being salty."

Tsukishima clicked his tongue and punched his brother a little rougher than gently. Not enough to bruise but it definitely hurt.

"Hey! Meanie, that hurt!" His sibling whined playfully.

"It's suppose to hurt." He would've added a swear but his mother was sitting right there.

"Kei don't be mean." His mother snapped.

"Ah c'mon! He's only playing."

"The two of you are supposed to hate eachother." She said.

"We fixed it." He argued.

"Uh huh." His mother sounded very unconvinced. Akiteru always said that.

"He's not lying this time. Surprisingly." Tsukishima said in the most monotone voice. He swears his mom almost stopped the car to add dramatic effect to her gasp.

"What!? When did this happen!?" She was obviously exaggerating her reaction. He didn't respond and niether did Akiteru. How do you answer that? Niether of them had the slightest idea. Because it was over the slap that Tsukishima was scolded for hiding. Imagine explaining that to your mother. Yeah no thanks.

Both of them looked out their respective windows without so much as an attempt at a response.

"You two are so alike." She laughed.

"I beg to differ." Tsukishima grumbled. Then the car pulled to a stop and she undid he seatbelt. They'd arrived. Finally.
