(Shao Khan is in chains in a cell)
(A couple of shokan guards are beating on him)
Guard: Doesn't know when to quit. Let's finish him
(Sindel walks in with her eyes glowing, and she uses her scream magic to kill the guards)
Shao Khan: Wife. It's you
Sindel: Hush, husband. I'm here
(Sindel breaks Shao Khan's chains)
Sindel: The soul chamber will heal your wounds. Then we'll discipline Kitana and take back our throne
Sheeva: Empress? Tell me I misheard. Tell me you would not betray your daughter
Echo 3: I told you so!
Sindel: She takes after her father. Jerrod was a weak king. Kitana is a weaker khan
Echo 3: (Whispers) Cover me
(Young Echo runs to inform Kitana)
Sheeva: Weak?! She defeated Shao Khan!
Sindel: Yet she lacked the resolve to kill him!
Now she will learn, enemies must be crushed, lest they rise again
Sheeva: Once Echo knew he was alive, he went rogue and killed him by himself. We had to use the soul chamber to resurrect him and increase security after
Sindel: Echo is the only one of you I would even consider keeping alive. He has a real killer instinct
Sheeva: There is a better way to lead
(Sindel fights Sheeva. Sheeva is strong, but Sindel's raw power was too much for a physical fighter. She kills Sheeva with the unbridled force of her scream magic)
Sindel: Elder gods tremble before me, Sheeva. What hope did you have?
(Some shokan soldiers run in)
Sindel: Kitana murdered your shokan brethren. Sheeva challenged her and suffered this punishment. Swear your allegiance and I shall see her avenged!
(The shokens bow)
(Soon, after Shao Khan is healed in the soul chamber)
(Shao Khan puts on his helmet)
(Sindel hugs Shao Khan)
Shao Khan: Wife, I have missed you. If only Quan Chi were here. I'd hoist him by the ankles and split him through for all the time he stolen from us
Sindel: Soon we will have the hourglass. When we meet up with our true daughter, Mileena, we will strike. Eternity will be our empire
Shao Khan: We'll have all the time we need
(Geras comes through a portal)
Geras: Shao Khan, Sindel. Come with me. Kronika has need of you
Shao Khan: Kronika?! Where was she when Kitana stole my throne?! We'll make her choke on her empty promises
(Geras makes his golden fist)
Sindel: Allow me the privilege, husband
Shao Khan: It will be mine, to watch you punish him
(Shao Khan walks away while Sindel squares up with Geras)
Sindel: Your maker sends you to die, Geras
Geras: As she has done billions of times before. Each time, the perfection of her design grows closer
(Sindel fights Geras. With Sindel's magic and agility, her fight with Geras is an afterthought)
Sindel: All that grows closer is her defeat, Geras
(Sindel screams Geras to the other side of the room)
(Geras gets up)
Geras: I'm only doing my job
Shao Khan: Observe, wife. As I disassemble this construct
Sindel: Nothing would please me more
Geras: Shao Khan, do not invoke Kronika's wrath
Shao Khan: Fear that gold plated relic? HA! I'll pulp you and send you back to her in jars!
(Shao Khan fights Geras and since he's already weakened, Shao Khan slaps him around like a toddler)
Shao Khan: Do you enjoy this?
(Shao Khan picks Geras up and throws him to the other side of the room)
(Sindel screams Geras to another part of the room)
(Shao Khan summons his hammer)
(Shao Khan then smashes Geras's head in with his hammer)
Shao Khan: A thousand years and you haven't lost a step
(Sindel puts her head on Shao Khan's arm)
(Meanwhile)
(Kronika is with the revenants of Liu Kang and Kitana)
R Liu Kang: Now Shao Khan turns against us?
R Kitana: Perhaps we should send the fleet
Dark Raiden: No. Shao Khan and Sindel have unwittingly given us back the advantage
Kronika: Yes. Their army will battle Raiden's for possession of the crown, weakening them both
R Kitana: Then we crush what remains of them with strength to spare
Kronika: The crown will once again be mine. When it is, the new era will begin
(At the sea of blood)
(Jaxon, Johnny, Young Specter, and Jacqui salute at Cassie, and Specter as they sail away)
(Specter puts his hand on Cassie's shoulder as Cassie puts her head on his shoulder)
Jonathan: Captain Cage reporting for duty, sir! I mean mam
(Specter chuckles)
Cassie: Woah there, 90s dad. You've already got one bullet wound too many
Jonathan: I'm healed, Cassie. Raiden gave me one of those "thunder hands" massages. Speaking of, where is mama bear?
(Specter cringes)
Cassie: She's over there, waiting for Sheeva at the rendezvous. But we cast off in five, where are they?
(Echo 3 runs towards the soldiers)
Echo 3: It's a trap!
Specter: What is?
Echo 3: Sindel has command of the shokans! She killed Sheeva! They're on their way here to kill us all! Ready your men!
Specter: You heard the man, don't just stand there!
(All the special forces soldiers arm up and set up barricades)
Cassie: Are you sure about this?
Specter: Nope. What about you?
Cassie: Me neither
(Specter pulls out his custom assault rifle)
(Cassie and Jonathan grab assault rifles)
(Sonya draws her pistols)
(Young Echo grabs an assault rifle)
(The shokans come through a portal and get sprayed by bullets)
Shao Khan: Try that on me!
(Sindel, Mileena, and Shao Khan power through the soldiers with terrifying ease)
(Jonathan punches Shao Khan, but gets hit with his hammer)
(Shao Khan tries to hit Sonya with his hammer, but she dodges it)
(Mileena runs around killing and eating special forces soldiers)
(Sindel kicks Sonya, making her fall to the ground)
Shao Khan: What a fine trophy for my arena!
(Specter, Echo 3, Jonathan, and Cassie run to Sonya)
Jonathan: We doing this by gender, or is that sexist?
Cassie: Just zip it and try not to die
Shao Khan: Enough prattle, fools. You will bow and serve the empire
Cassie: Make us, you authoritarian asshole
Shao Khan: I will rip your spine out and wear it like a necklace!
Specter: Yeah, that's not gonna happen, MC Hammer
(Jonathan lets out a loud laugh)
(Another portal opens, and more shokans run through)
(Specter draws his pistol)
Specter: Dad, you're with me on these shokans!
(Specter and Echo 3 fight the shokans while Jonathan and Cassie fight Sindel and Shao Khan)
Sindel: I want her
(Johnny dodges a few hits from Shao Khan's hammer)
Sindel: A fearless gladiator like you would entertain well in our arena. Until your death, of course
Cassie: Mom used to say death smiles at everyone. But the blade women? We smile back
(Sindel fights Cassie. Cassie's green halo activates since failing this fight could doom existence itself. But Sindel's power can rival an elder god, so Cassie gets overwhelmed)
Sindel: Not smiling anymore, are we?
(Jonathan lands a few punches on Shao Khan before getting entangled in Sindel's hair and thrown against some rocks)
Specter: Here, take this!
(Specter tosses Cassie some medical gel and a combat stim)
Shao Khan: Deal with the jester. I'll school this unruly child
(Sindel and Jonathan start fighting hand to hand)
Cassie: You school me? You know I toasted Shinnok, right?
Shao Khan: Ha! Shinnok schemed because he was worthless in battle. That you beat him only proves that truth
(Shao Khan fights Cassie. He doesn't care about getting cancelled, so he beats her silly)
Shao Khan: Now you understand true power
(Shao Khan punches Jonathan and knocks him off his feet)
(Jonathan sees Sonya and Cassie on the ground, so he gets up again)
Sindel: The poor man is heartbroken
Shao Khan: Why waste tears on weaklings?
Jonathan: Those women are stronger and braver than fifty of you put together!
(Jonathan throws his sunglasses to the side)
Jonathan: Ok bozos! No jokes, no gimmicks, just kombat! You wanna get nuts?! Lets get nuts!
Sindel: May I finish this?
Shao Khan: By all means
Jonathan: Every fight I've fought I've fought for myself. But this one? This one's for my family!
Sindel: You poor pathetic man
(Sindel fights Jonathan, and it's just like before. His green halo activates, but it's not enough to stop Sindel)
Sindel: You're in luck, Johnny Cage. In my care, you and Sonya will breed many fine slaves
(Jonathan uppercuts Sindel)
Shao Khan: How many of his bones shall I break for you, wife?
Sindel: Surprise me
Shao Khan: Twice you've fought in my tournament, and twice you have failed! Why Raiden thought you a contender baffles me
(Shao Khan fights Jonathan and he bounces Jonathan around like a basketball)
Shao Khan: Was that your best?
(Shao Khan hits Jonathan in the face with his hammer, making Sindel clap)
(Specter and Echo 3 are getting overwhelmed by shokans)
Specter: There's too many of them!
Shao Khan: Seize the vessel and dump it's cargo! We need speed to overtake Kharon's fleet!
(Sindel, Mileena, and Shao Khan board a ship with their army)
(Cassie, Sonya, and Jonathan go through a portal while being escorted by shokans)
(Specter teleports away with Echo 3)
(Meanwhile)
Kitana: Raiden and Fujin have gone ahead to storm the isle. But we've lost all contact with the rear guard. Commander Cage, the special forces, Queen Sheeva, the shokan, and now mother
Echo 2: I'm telling you, it has to be Sindel and Shao Khan
Kitana: Are you sure?
Echo 2: Yes! My other self said he overheard her talk about it with Shao Khan. I was with Sheeva, but she may not have made it
Kung Lao: I'll just say what we're all thinking
Kitana: She betrayed us...
Liu Kang: I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but the evidence is quite damning. Wait... Look!
(Liu Kang points to two ships in the distance)
Kung Lao: Does that look like special forces to you?
(Kitana looks through a spyglass and sees Sindel with Shao Khan, Mileena, and the shokans)
Kitana: No! Elder gods damn you, mother!
(Meanwhile)
(Kronika is using her magic on the hourglass)
Kronika: Kill each other...
(Back at the ship)
(Another all out battle is taking place)
(Echo 2, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Baraka, Rain, Reptile, Ermac, Erron Black, Kotal Khan, Jade, Kitana, and the out world army)
Vs
(Shao Khan, Sindel, Mileena, and the shokans)
Sindel: Now, where is Kitana?
Shao Khan: No doubt the little princess is hiding
Mileena: I will seek her out
(Kung Lao's hat decapitates a few shokans before Sindel catches it)
Kung Lao: Nobody is hiding, Shao Khan. Not after your epic failure at the coliseum. That belongs to me
Sindel: Have it
(Sindel throws Kung Lao's hat at him, but he catches it in one hand, and puts it on)
Kung Lao: I hope you have more than that for the heir of the great Kung Lao
Sindel: Help our daughter find Kitana, husband
(Shao Khan walks away to help Mileena find Kitana)
Kung Lao: Why am I always right? You're breaking Kitana's heart!
Sindel: A eunuch monk can't hope to understand the ways of mothers and daughters
Kung Lao: You did not just call me a eunuch
(Sindel fights Kung Lao. But Sindel goes for a very cheap shot, and turns out to actually be incorrect. Kung Lao does indeed still have his balls)
Sindel: (Laughs) I can call you worse
Shao Khan: I have not yet found Kitana
Sindel: I shall seek her out since you are blind
Shao Khan: He and I have unfinished business
(Sindel walks away to help find Kitana)
Shao Khan: It's a pity the time merger disrupted the tournament. I was about to snap your neck
Kung Lao: Why? Because you were afraid to face me head on?
(Shao Khan stutters for a few seconds)
Shao Khan: I fear nothing, monk
(Shao Khan fights Kung Lao and gets lucky since his balls were still hurting from Sindel's cheap shot)
Shao Khan: You are a disgrace to your family's bloodline. Snapping your neck would be too easy for you
(Shao Khan picks up Kung Lao and throws him through the deck of the ship)
Sindel: Come, Kitana awaits
(Shao Khan uses his hammer to fight Kotal Khan, who has his giant sword)
(Sindel is fighting Jade)
(Shao Khan hits Kotal Khan a few times with his hammer, re breaking his spine)
(Sindel uses her hair to throw Jade through the deck and into the lower level)
Liu Kang: You love Shao Khan more than your own daughter?
Sindel: That is none of your business, Liu Kang
Liu Kang: It became mine when I married Kitana
Shao Khan: Let the women be, chosen one. You owe me kombat
(Liu Kang dodges some swings from Shao Khan's hammer)
Liu Kang: It is my destiny to defeat you, Shao Khan!
(Kitana dodges some of Sindel's scream magic)
Shao Khan: Yours is to grovel before me, boy!After we kill Kronika, that will be everyone's destiny
Liu Kang: Even for you, that is madness!
Shao Khan: Madness?! It is genius, you pathetic fool!
Kitana: Echo was right! You should have stayed dead
Sindel: Please, that wounds me, daughter
Kitana: I am prepared to do much worse
Sindel: Learn or be punished, child
(Shao Kahn and Sindel begin a couples battle with Kitana and Shao Khan. As both couples face off, they use teamwork to fight. But due to interference from Mileena, that gives Sindel and Shao Khan the opening they need to take them both down)
(Now the only kombatant left is Echo 2)
(Sindel and Shao Khan appear on either side of Echo 2. He stands there silent until one of them makes a move, and he sends out a vision pulse)
(Echo 2 dodges some hits from Shao Khan's hammer, hits him with a smoke bomb, then hits him with a flurry of punches)
(Sindel tries to hit Echo 2 with her scream, but he backflips over the scream, making it hit Shao Khan, making him crash through a wall)
(Echo 2 throws some ninja stars at Sindel, who catches them in her hair and throws them back)
(Echo leans back matrix style, just barely dodging the stars)
(Echo 2 fights Sindel hand to hand and takes her down with a leg throw)
(Shao Khan shoots some magic from his hammer, and Echo 2 is forced to dodge several blasts of magic)
(Echo 2 draws his sword and briefly clashes with Shao Khan. But when he plunges his sword into Shao Khan's chest, that gives Shao Khan the opportunity to grab him and knock him out cold with his hammer)
(Shao Khan pulls Echo 2's sword out of his chest, and he uses magic to heal the wound)
Shao Khan: You Echos are a significant pain
Mileena: She is not here
Sindel: She must have jumped ship
(The trio looks on another ship to find Kitana with some of her forces)
(Mileena grips her sais in her hands)
