It was now 5pm and jimin had just arrived at jungkook's house opening the door to see jungkook sitting beside his best friend who was still asleep on the couch.
"how is he?" jimin asks
"he is okay, he has deep bruises but we have medication for that, I will take care of him- I promise," jungkook says
"do you have his things?" jungkook continues as he gets up and looks at jimin's arms
"yeah I grabbed his phone, wallet, noodles and that was pretty much it," jimin says putting the things down on the table.
"is that a flip phone? what about his clothes?" jungkook asks
"he doesn't have many clothes , he only has the ones he is wearing now and old clothes that are big on him so I threw them out," jimin says
"that's okay I will be getting him new clothes anyways," jungkook says while he picks up taehyung's phone.
"how does he use this? even answer emails?" jungkook asks
"well it can be only used for texting or calling, he goes to work early and uses the desktop on his desk for checking emails," jimin says sadly knowing how much his best friend is struggling.
"okay I will be taking him out shopping when he feels better," jungkook says grabbing taehyung's things
"I have to go back to work kook but ring me when he wakes up, I will come to visit," jimin says as they say goodbye.
jungkook grabs a blanket and puts it over taehyung and turns the fire on.
he walks towards his kitchen and starts to make something to eat.
Taehyung stirs awake as he adjusts his eyes to the light as soon as his eyes adjust to the light he looks around to see a very fancy house. he slowly gets up and grunts in pain and holds his stomach as he gets up.
'has the guy that beat me up kidnaped me' taehyung thought as tears clouded his sight. he walks towards the kitchen hearing movements.
taehyung is shaking as he walks in pain knees feeling weak, he doesn't want to die. taehyung limps into the kitchen as he smells something amazing making his mouth water.
jungkook turned around when he heard little footsteps only to see taehyung with teary eyes looking at him.
"taehyung" jungkook says dropping what he was doing and walks towards the sobbing taehyung
"come here," jungkook says opening up his arms
taehyung moved towards him and put his head on jungkook's chest, tears falling down.
"you're safe tae" jungkook says holding taehyung carefully
"w-why am I h-here?" taehyung stutters as he moves from the hug looking at jungkook.
"I found you unconscious at your place," jungkook says sitting taehyung down on the dining table chairs.
"o-oh, thank you for taking care of me I should get going now," taehyung says about to stand up but jungkook carefully pulls him back to sit down.
"no you will stay here, you aren't going back there you will stay with me for a bit then I will be getting you an apartment," jungkook says looking at taehyung's bruised face
"I can't afford that mr.jeon" taehyung says with tears streaming down his face
"I will be buying you an apartment, you won't have to live like this anymore" jungkook whispers creasing taehyung's check wiping the tears away.
"let's get you fead hm" jungkook says as he walks back to the kitchen and dishes up the warm soup in two bowls.
"would you like some water?" jungkook asked looking at taehyung who nods his head
jungkook grabs the two bows of soup and a freezing cold water bottle and hands the things to taehyung.
"here is your spoon," jungkook says handing taehyung the spoon and started to dig in.
jungkook watched carefully as taehyung took a sip of the water, it didn't end up just being a sip as jungkook watched taehyung finish half the bottle. after taehyung finished he turned to jungkook to see he was staring at him.
feeling embarrassed he mumbled a little sorry and then jungkook chuckled "don't apologise, it is good to drink heaps of water" jungkook says as he has more of his soup.
taehyung looks down at the soup in front of him, he has never had soup before. he use to read stories of when you were sick and people made them soup to help with their cold, he had always wanted to try soup.
taehyung grabbed the spoon and had a taste on the soup. "mhmm" taehyung said as jungkook looked at him smiling "is it good?" jungkook asked watching taehyung devour the soup.
"it is soo good" taehyung said
"wh-here is yeona?" he asked as jungkook looked at him surprised he asked
"she is with my mum and her sister" jungkook said
"you have another daughter? how old is she?" taehyung asked super curious
"well i have yeona who is 2 and euni who is 7" jungkook says proudly
"what is euni like?" taehyung asked
"she is caring and very funny, euni and I are really close. jimin and namjoon say that we act like siblings" jungkook chuckles
"what is it like having two daughters?" taehyung asks curious
"they are the best thing that has ever happened to me, euni and yeona are very close and euni always looks out for her little sister and worries about her all the time even stuff that a 7-year-old shouldn't have to worry about" jungkook says staring off into space
"what stuff does she worry about," taehyung asks looking at jungkook
"ever since yeona was born she never let go of me, she only ever let me or her big sister hold her or play with her. it took a while for yeona to warm up to my mum but she still isn't like herself when she is with her" jungkook says getting up from his seat grabbing the two dishes and putting them in the dishwasher.
"yeona doesn't really talk around my mum but she is doing better, euni loves my mum she is such a brave girl" jungkook says watching taehyung stand up and walk towards the kitchen bench.
"yeona doesn't really talk to anyone, one time I handed her to a ex-friend of mine while I went to go toilet and she completely freaked out and cried her eyes out. I don't trust a lot of people with her. euni is worried for her that she is sad and doesn't want to make friends" jungkook says with teary eyes.
"I'm the only parent in their life you know, I have to rely on other people so I can work for a living and provide for them. more oldest daughter is worried about yeona's health she shouldn't have to feel that way especially at 7" he continues letting his tears fall from his face
"I don't want yeona to forever be scared of people. she starts kindy soon. she will freak. I feel like I have already failed as a dad" jungkook sobs out letting his emotions show.
"no, no." taehyung says walking up to jungkook putting his hands on jungkook's cheeks making jungkook's teary eyes face him.
"jungkook you are the kindest, sweetest dad I have ever seen. you're hard-working and do so much for those two beautiful girls. the only pathetic parent is the mother to those girls who left them and you" taehyung says wiping jungkook's tears.
"I admire you so much and you girls absolutely adore you, I've seen the way yeona is around you" taehyung says pulling jungkook into a hug.
jungkook wraps his arms around taehyung's waist and puts his head on taehyung's shoulder.
after a while they hear a door open and hear a voice "kook, I'm here to drop yeona off" he heard his mum say as they pull away from the hug.
jungkook walks out of the kitchen wiping his eyes to see her daughter in his mum's arms. yeona turns to see her dad and smiles widely.
"dada!" she says as she makes grabby hands towards him. jungkook jogs towards them and takes yeona from his mothers arms.
"hi baby" jungkook says giving her millions of kisses.
"i have to get back to the car euni is waiting to go to McDonalds" his mum laughs as jungkook nods smiling
"do you need money?" jungkook asks
"no hunny no, it is okay don't worry." she says in a rush
"tell euni to facetime me before she goes to bed," jungkook says kissing his mums cheek then saying goodbye.
once she had gone jungkook took yeona to the kitchen who was very quiet until she had seen taehyung.
"TWAEE!" she screams wiggling out of her dads arms and making grabby hands towards taehyung
taehyung smiles widely and takes her from a very shocked jungkook's arms
"hi bub, I missed you" taehyung says kissing her forehead as yeona hugs him tightly
"i mwisshed youshh, lloowk dada puwt pictuwre up" she mumbles pointing to the picture yeona drew on the fridge
"that's your picture," taehyung says to a nodding yeona.
"what hawppen to twae twae's fwace" yeona mumbles putting her hands on taehyung's face
"I tripped bub" he lies
"twae twae be careful," she says kissing his checks.
jungkook looks at them in shock. jungkook had never thought that yeona would be talking to anyone this way in a while. he stared at taehyung and yeona with loving eyes and pride.
"baby do you wanna take a bath and get in some pj's then watch some tv before bed," jungkook asked
"i dwont wwant twae to gwo" she mumbles sadly resting her head on taehyung's shoulder
"he is staying with us for a bit munchkin," jungkook says as yeona looks up at her dad with hopeful eyes.
"rweally" yeona says as she looks up at jungkook then taehyung
"ywes!" she cheers happily
"let's get you cleaned up baby, taehyung I will show you your room follow me" jungkook says as they walk towards the stairs, taehyung passing yeona to her dad.
"here is your room, mine is right down the hall and yeona's is down the hall but on the other side," jungkook says
"I am just going to bath her and then let her play with her toys," jungkook says as he quickly leaves to go and bath her.
once she is in the bath, he starts to wash her body and hair.
"hwo lwong is twae twae staying" she asks her dad as he rubs shampoo into her hair.
"I'm not sure yet princess," jungkook says as he made sure to rinse her hair with water
"I lwike twae, twae i want to sway forever" she mumbles playing with the bubbles.
jungkook smiles as he picks yeona up and cleans her and dries her. once jungkook dressed her he walked with her in his arms and walked into her playroom and turned the lights on.
"are you okay to play in here while I go help tae?" jungkook asked his daughter who nodded
jungkook sat her down in the ball pit and left to go find taehyung who was still in his room but standing by the window looking at the view.
"taehyung?" jungkook says standing at the door. taehyung turns around and looks at jungkook, jungkook walks a little closer.
"are you okay?" jungkook asks
"yeah, I am just feeling dirty and yuck and tired also sore" taehyung says while clutching his tummy.
jungkook looks at him with empathy.
"let's get you to have a shower, yeah maybe that would make you feel better," jungkook says leading taehyung to the bathroom that was in front of taehyung's room.
