Excitement was an understatement, she'd arrived at the burrow a day before the event as they would have to leave promptly in the morning. Elle had spent her entire summer talking excitedly to her parents about the event, even when her uncle came to visit for a week it was all she talked about. Her parents didn't really understand the art of quidditch even when she had described it to them countless times.
Remus on the other hand did understand and had been seen her play, he described her talent to her parents who seemed proud. Confused but proud. The rest of Elle's summer consisted of a lot of reading, walking and movie watching. Although Elle hated none of these activities, she couldn't concentrate on something for long without the excitement of the World Cup entering her mind again. She must have read the same page in her book twenty times due to the fact she was barely even reading it.
When they day came that she had to travel to the burrow, Elle was practically bouncing off the walls. After exchanging letters with the twins, the group had decided that floo powder would be the best mode of transport for Elle. After all her parents weren't exactly keen to drive her all the way to the burrow and Molly and Arthur were way too busy to even think about it. Elle had packet all of her Hogwarts belongings with her as it was likely she would be coming home between the tournament and school, after all there wouldn't be much time to. Molly and Arthur had already agreed that it was perfectly fine for Elle to stay at the burrow.

In the exchanged letters, Fred and George had mentioned that they'd come to her and collect her just like the family were planning to do with Harry earlier that day. She would be there last collection meaning that they probably wouldn't arrive until the afternoon. Nevertheless, Elle spent the entire day sitting in front of her fire place waiting. The clock had hit three when green flames erupted in the grate and she jumped back in alarm as George stepped out gingerly wiping some spot from his arm.
"Thank god you have an actual fireplace, you should have seen the commotion collecting Harry" he muttered,
"Can't wait for hear all about it" she beamed "MUM, DAD THEY'RE HERE" Elle called as Fred appeared in the fire place shortly followed by his father who seemed angrier than usual.
"Good to see you Elle, you'll never guess what these two idiots did to Harry's cousin" he scowled at the twins who stifled a laugh,
"It was brilliant Elle" Fred ensured. Elle's parents came walking hastily into the living room trying to ignore the star of ash that had littered the carpet,
"Ah you two must be Heather and Samson, it's good to meet you I'm Arthur Weasley" the man grinned shaking her parents hands enthusiastically,
"This is Fred and George" Elle pointed to the twins who waved in unison.
"Yeah we've heard a lot about you" Heather chuckled,
"Aw you told you parents about us" the twins gushed sarcastically before Elle elbowed them in the ribs,
"Will you ever stop being abusive" Fred groaned.
Fred went first to show Elle how it was done as she'd never travelled by floo powder before. Arthur had already discussed the plans of the tournament with Elle's parents and ensured that she would be very well taken care of. Heather and Samson definitely seemed to get on well with Arthur which was a relief for Elle. Fred stood in the fire place and gasped a handful of floo powder which they had brought with them.
"The Burrow" he stated clearly before dropping the floo powder causing him to be engulfed in green flames.
Elle went next dragging all her things with her, she took the powder in her hand trying hard not to let any spill on the carpet which was already littered in ash. She stepped into the fireplace and stated the location clearly. As she dropped the powder she saw the green flames flicker around her but they didn't feel warm in fact they felt quite cold. Suddenly it was as though the floor opened up and she was falling. As she fell she could see other rooms around her but she went so quickly that they all blurred into an image she couldn't make out.
All of a sudden she slid out of another fireplace and through the Weasley's kitchen hearing a laugh and turning to see Fred walking quickly towards her,
"Graceful" he muttered as he pulled her to her feet. She wiped the ash off herself hastily just as George appeared in the burrows fire place. Unlike Elle he did not skid across the kitchen, instead he arrived standing calmly and stepped out as though he hadn't been falling rapidly through fire places. Arthur came last and then the trio disappeared upstairs carrying all Elle's belonging with her.
The brunette let Moon out of the window immediately as she had been stuck in a cage all day. After that she laid back on one one the twins beds in exhaustion,
"You excited" Fred muttered seeing the grin in the girls face,
"More excited than I've ever been" she grinned.
"Good" George states happily as he sat on the bed next to her.
The twins looked different to when she'd seen them in the summer, they'd grown taller and now towered quite a bit over Elle which (considering Elle was 5'7) definitely meant they were quite tall. As well as that their hair had grown longer and was now almost to their shoulders,
"Haven't had a hair cut I see" Elle smirked as she ruffled George's hair annoyingly causing him to frown,
"It looks great Elle don't deny it" Fred sighed.
"Yeah you wish your hair looked like ours" George states causing her to laugh.
The bed provided by the Weasley's may not be as comfortable as her bed at home but she wouldn't want to be anywhere else. She heard the owls chatter round in the night as well as a thumping from the attic which the twins ensured was just the family ghoul which seemed a completely normal thing to them.
As Elle drifted her dreams began to shift and became clearer than ever. She saw fire and screaming and panic all around. She couldn't tell where she was but as she looked over to the distance she saw a group of cloaked masked figures making their way towards her. She went to scream but found herself waking up instead. Luckily her sudden awakening didn't startle either of the twins who were still fast asleep.
Elle sighed and fluffed her pillow before placing her head back into it. She tried to push the images of destruction to the back of her mind as she concentrated on how amazing the quidditch World Cup was going to be. After all she had been waiting all summer for it. To her relief, Elle had no more weird dreams that night and woke up at dawn to the sound a birds chirping and a cockerel singing.

Getting the twins out of bed was possibly the hardest thing Elle had ever had to do, she was already dressed before they had even opened their eyes and she pushed their shoulders angrily muttering to herself as they lay stiff. Nothing seemed to be working, she's shouted, jolted them and even hit them with a pillow. Elle huffed angrily on the ground in between the beds before noticing a bottle of water in the corner of the room.
The brunette smirked before picking up the bottle and opening it. She tipped half of it over Fred who jumped up in alarm and then poured the other half on George who flinched slightly before going back to sleep.
"Are you kidding" Elle groaned as the younger twin fell back to sleep in an instant, meanwhile Fred had fallen onto the floor while cursing Elle for pouring water on him,
"It serves you right, you wouldn't wait up" she called as the boy stormed out the room to go have a shower. Elle turned back to George who seemed so peaceful and tried to think of another way to wake him up.
"Got it" Elle murmured before shoving him aggressively off the bed. He fell into the floor with a thump and sat up in surprise,
"What's going on?" he turned to see Elle standing over him with a grin on her face "Fred's right, you are abusive" he smirked before standing up,
"Wait why am I covered in water"
It was a hassle getting everyone up and out at the crack of dawn but they managed it and soon they were all walking away from the burrow,
"Who you supporting" the twins asked in unison as they walked beside Elle,
"The Irish of course" Elle beamed as she felt more excited than ever,
"Correct answer" Fred nudged her shoulder playfully "Ron's supporting Bulgaria but only because he has a crush on Victor Krum"
"Do not" the angry voice of the youngest brother called out from behind. The group trekked through the woods for a little while before seeing a figure standing in the path,
"Amos there you are" Arthur called happily as they moved towards the man "this is Amos Diggory, he got us the tickets" Arthur grinned proudly,
"Diggory" Elle whispered to George "is he-" before Elle could ask her question, a boy dropped down from the tree above,
"Never mind" Elle muttered as Cedric Diggory stood in front of her. He smiled softly at her and she felt herself blush slightly after all he was incredibly attractive,
"Ah Cedric good to see you" Arthur beamed as the group moved on up the hill.
"How are we actually getting there?" Elle enquired as the group began to hurry up the hill calling about being late,
"Ah you'll love this part" Fred drawled sarcastically. Elle frowned in confusion as they began to stand around a manky old boot,
"It's a port key" Arthur explained "hands in everyone" with that the group all grabbed ahold of the boot in unison. Elle followed still not sure what was going on.
All of a sudden the boot began to move and Elle felt herself rising up and beginning to spin round rapidly. She gripped hold tightly as they began spinning faster until Elle had to close her eyes out of fear of being sick. She hit the ground painfully and looked around to see that the majority of the group were sprawled on the grass next to her. As for Amos, Arthur and Cedric, they were floating down effortlessly from the sky as though nothing had happened..
