"Elle I'm sorry I didn't tell you previously" Remus sighed before turning back to Hermione "when did you figure it out?"
"When Professor Snape did the lesson on werewolves" realisation washed over Elle as she thought back to his cold stare that he'd given her whole talking about the creatures. He knew.
"Remus... she's yours?" Sirius smirked at Elle,
"My brothers" Remus corrected as Elle still trembled to herself in the corner unable to move,
"Ah old Samson" Elle flinched at her fathers name "didn't think he'd ever get himself a life with all the time he spent hating over yours"
"Shut up" Elle snapped at Sirius who frowned.
"You're a murderer" Harry growled a pot Sirius, changing the focus of the conversation "you betrayed my parents"
"No he didn't Harry, someone did betray your parents that night but it wasn't Sirius"
"Who was it then?"
"Peter Pettigrew" Sirius sang happily,
"Pettigrew's dead... you killed him" Harry spat.
"EXPELLIARMUS" Elle saw Remus' wand fly through the air as the figure of Professor Snape entered the room,
"Ah Remus you got here first, I warned Dumbledore that you would be helping your old friend into the castle but he didn't listen"
"Run along snivelllus, shouldn't you be playing with your chemistry set" Sirius uttered causing the potions teacher to press his wand against the man's throat,
"Give me a reason why I shouldn't" Snape growled "you know the dementors are out looking for you... I'm sure they'd be more than happy to give you a kiss".
"EXPELLIARMUS" Harry cried, Snape turned round in surprise before he was thrown backwards, he hit the bed in the corner and didn't move. He'd been knocked out.
"Harry what the hell are you doing" Hermione hissed "you just stunned a teacher"
"Tell me about Peter Pettigrew" Harry turned to Sirius.
"No let's kill him now" Sirius contradicted,
"Harry deserves to know the truth, if we wait-"
"I DID MY WAITING, TWELVE YEARS OF IT, IN AZKABAN" Sirius yelled out looking more mad than ever, Remus sighed before turning back to Harry.
"He was at school with us, we thought he was our friend" Remus muttered "but on the night of your parents death, it was him that betrayed Lily and James not Sirius"
"Yes and he's in this room right now" Sirius called "come out come out Peter"
"He's in this room?" Harry enquired,
"Yes he's right there" the man pointed directly to Ron,
"Are you mental" Ron snapped "he thinks I'm Peter Pettigrew"
"No not you Ron" Lupin interjected "your rat"
"Scabbers, but he's been in my family for-"
"TWELVE YEARS" Sirius interrupted "awfully long life for a common rat, isn't it?"
"I knew it was him as soon as I saw him in that paper, he only has four toes" Sirius smirked,
"So what?" Ron snapped,
"When they found Pettigrew all that was left of him was a-"
"A finger!" Sirius cried "he cut it off himself, he used the explosion as a diversion, made it seem as though I had caused it, then he transformed into a rat and disappeared"
"Prove it" Harry stated as Sirius began to move towards Ron.
"Get off him!" Ron yelled as the man grasped hold of his Rat,
"Give him it Ron" Harry mumbled and the red head let go,
"Scabbers"he whined as Sirius moved to place the rat on the piano, Elle noticed that Theodore was still standing by the window, for a moment Elle had forgotten he was there.
The rat immediately tried to run away as both Remus and Sirius attempted to transform it. It jumped off the piano noisily and began running at the door. Just as Elle thought it had gotten away, one of their spells hit it and the small creature transformed into a short man. The other two pulled him up and Elle noticed he wasn't too dissimilar to a rat but I suppose that's what you get when you turn into one for twelve years.
"Remus, Sirius... my friends" the man smiled wickedly,
"How could you betray Lily and James Peter, how could you" Sirius yelled as the two pinned the man angrily,
"I didn't mean to" he whined "the dark lord can be very persuasive, you would have done the same"
"No!" Sirius interjected "I would have died, I would have died before I betrayed Lily and James.. come on Remus let's kill him"
"No" Harry called out clearly "don't kill him"
"Harry" Sirius raised his brow "this is the man that betrayed your parents... he's the reason they're dead"
"And my parents wouldn't want him to die... we'll take him to the castle"
"Thank you" Peter smiled "thank you dear boy"
"I'm not sparing you... the dementors can have you" Peter's smile dropped as Sirius smirked.

The group began to head out of the shack, Sirius and Harry helped Ron up as his injured leg meant he couldn't walk. Hermione follows suit which left Remus, Peter, Theo and Elle.
"Why didn't you tell me?" The brunette muttered as Lupin pulled Peter to his feet roughly,
"Truthfully I didn't want to scare you, not many people take the idea of being a werewolf lightly"
"Like my parents... that's why they said you were dangerous" Lupin nodded sadly.
"Unfortunately they're not wrong" he sighed as he dragged Peter away. He turned to Theo who was standing in the corner.
"I know what they did to you" he muttered "I guess you were wondering why I hadn't attacked you" Theo just stood there,
"You knew he was innocent" Elle turned to Lupin.
"I had my suspicions, there are always signs that someone is under the imperious curse and I met Theo when that was the case"
"And you didn't feel the need to mention that" Elle frowned,
"Why would he?" Theodore countered and Elle fell silent realising how weird this must look to him,
"I understand this is not a good time" Lupin smiled sympathetically, "but four years after your parents gave you up... they had a daughter" Theo froze and turned to Elle who was currently at a loss for words which seemed to be a common theme.
Lupin turned and began to drag Peter carelessly out of the room as Theodore stood staring at Elle,
"You're my sister?" He muttered to Elle who nodded "guess the dream thing makes more sense now" he smiled weakly,
"I'm sorry my parents gave you up, they only told me last year before that I had no idea"
"I get it... I always resented them but I guess they just weren't ready. The siblings walked after the rest of the group still unsure what to say to each other,
"Peter could help get Sirius free" Theo sighed "but for me... I'll have to go into hiding"
"It's not fair" Elle muttered causing Theo to smile,
"Nothing is"
As they came out into the open, Elle saw Sirius and Harry standing together gazing out at the castle. The brunette pondered about the twins, surely they must be worried about her by now but she'd explain everything when she got back.
Remus laid Peter down still pointing his wand at his head to prevent him running away.
No one seemed to question Theo's presence as he stood next to Elle looking off into the night. After all they had bigger things to worry about.
"HARRY" Hermione cried suddenly, Elle turned to see the bright white moon coming out behind a cloud. It made sense now. The moon being Lupin's boggart. She turned to her uncle who's eyes were now black.
"Remus no" Sirius ran over and pulled on the man's shoulders as his head fell back,
"Remus my old friend, have you taken your potion tonight?" Remus didn't say anything, he groaned lightly and Elle watched in horror as his skin began to pale and his teeth began to sharpen. As Lupin's wand rolled out of his hand, Elle saw Peter pick it up excitedly. Harry quickly disarmed him but it was too late the man slowly transformed into a rat before slinking away.
"REMUS NO" Sirius cried "please Remus you know who you are... you know it... you're in here Remus" he pointed to her uncles heart but he was too far gone.
His jacket ripped and his legs grew as the monster started to take form, his hair shrank away and a snout grew out of his face. Suddenly Elle was no longer looking at her uncle, she was staring at a werewolf.
The creature whimpered to itself and Elle saw Hermione bravely step forward,
"Professor Lupin... Professor Lupin" it growled before letting out a large howl which sounded exactly like the one she'd heard in her dream. It turned to the group menacingly and Elle felt herself getting pushed behind Theo protectively.
All of a sudden, the potions Professor came running out of the passage.
"Potter" he snarled before hearing the howling sound coming from behind him, he turned to see the wolf advancing on them and placed himself in front of the students immediately.
Just as Elle thought the wolf was going to attack, a large black dog jumped in front of it and started to attack, it was Sirius. The two lunged and bit at each other occasionally letting out a whimper, the wolf threw the dog to the side and quickly followed it.
"Sirius" Harry called as he ran after the dog,
"Get back here Potter" Snape yelled, Elle saw her brother begin to follow them,
"I have to help Sirius" he muttered and with that he transformed into snake and slithered quickly away in pursuit.
A higher pitched howl sounded out in the distance and Elle heard Remus howl before running off to follow it.
Elle moved to chase after her brother before feeling a grip on her arm,
"No one else is going anywhere" Snape snapped "we're going to the hospital wing NOW"
