[A/M:] Happy New Year and Merry Christmas guys. Sorry for not updating during the last two Friday's but you know it's holidays --Not like we have much free time or anything-- and you know family and whatnot, so I'll be updating with another chapter after this so enjoy guys! 2021 don't fail us now.
"It would be a waste if you didn't become a hero in the future though."
'It would be a waste wouldn't it?' you thought to yourself with a hum. 'So much has been invested in me. And not once did I ever reject them. Instead, I was all on board on being this hero everyone sees me as...'
After being curious, you used a search engine on your phone, and lo and behold, you were a hot topic in regards to future heroes. You were extremely flattered by all the praise and felt heavy with all the expectations. You even got all embarrassed when you saw a quick interview clip of the young boy, you met by the train station some time ago, look up to you so earnestly and passionately.
"Hey, Arata, what made you want to work in Minato-san's ramen-ya and be his student?"
You asked the ginger-haired boy who looked over to you with his vibrant green eyes. The older male gave you an unfocused gaze as his fingers unconsciously grazed over his small scar on his left temple. A small smile came to his lips that made him look charming before answering you.
"It makes me happy."
"It does?" you replied confused, "Does it make you happy that you keep getting beaten up by Minato-san all the time?"
"U-Uh no, not that kind of happy." Arata chuckled lowly, "When I was young, I was a big sports fan. I wanted to compete professionally, and I was really good at it. But one day, I was caught in a serious accident and when I recovered, I couldn't play sports ever again..."
The sad look in his eyes and the aura that seeped from him had you frowning. Your heart clenched at the sad realization that Arata had to give up something he loved. "In my darkest days, I found Minato-sensei's ramen-ya. He gave me a free bowl and told me to eat, I never realized how much I was holding back till I took a bite."
"It became something I genuinely enjoy, and slowly became something I wanted to do."
"Oh..." you mumbled in awe as Arata bashfully scratched the back of his neck. "This wasn't something I prepared for when I was young, but it's not something I would give up if given the chance. I wouldn't know where I would be if I didn't found this place."
"It's safe to say, 'I picked up a stray'." Minato bluntly added appearing from the back. It had Arata flinching in shock, "Sensei...!" He looked hurt, but you can tell that it was all jokes.
"What are you doing here making small talk? You have dishes to clean. Hurry up!" huffed the elder. With a pout the male trudged to the back, hearing you giggle at the man's antics.
"How about you Minato-san?" you asked visibly interested. But he waved you off carelessly, "It's just something I was brought upon by my family." he said massaging his shoulders. "I would have picked something else but, you know what kid?"
"If you can do it well, what's the harm of pursuing it?"
'Pursuing the path to being a hero...' you thought with a hum as you spotted Tokage waving over to you by the entrance of a cafe near the train station. Alongside her were Komori, Tetsutetsu, Honenuki, Awase, and Shiozaki who all looked very different and unique in their own civilian style.
"Am I the last one? I'm so sorry, I had to ride with my dad to get here..."
You bashfully added, patted on the brown that went past your knees with black stockings underneath. Your pink hair was tied in a braided bun that made sure not to cover over the feather printed cream blouse whose sleeves were buttoned around your wrist. Your chunky, black heeled ankle boots clicked on the ground as you made your way to them.
"You look very elegant, (Y/N)-chan" Komori commented that had you blushing madly.
"I'm not dressed out of place am I?"
You worriedly asked having spent almost an hour with Fuyumi deciding what to wear. You were very excited when you told her you were going on an outing with some friends. Almost immediately did Shoto say he will come along to chaperon you, but after many pleas and convincing alongside Fuyumi to back you up, you were able to delay his arrival to later in the afternoon, when he will come to pick you up.
"I-It's fine!" Tetsutetsu forced out as he hides the red cheeks forming. "You... look very... very... Manly!!"
You blinked at the compliment. "Manly?" you wonder out loud touching the silver bird earrings you wore.
"What Tetsutetsu means to say, is that you look very pretty, (Y/N)-san." Shiozaki jumped in complementing your hair that had you brightly smiling. "Ah, I see! Thank you, Tetsutetsu," you said to him that had him more energized than before.
The front door of the cafe ringed and to your surprise, a ginger-haired female walked out with a friendly smile.
"Kendo," you greeted with a smile, "are you joining us too?"
"Yup! I was also planning to help out Komori on some lessons, so I might as well tag along," she replied with a wink. For some reason, your stomach churned a bit with unease that left you confused.
"Though I'm sorry for adding another person out of the blue, I was asked to tutor him..."
Behind her, your mind went blank, you saw a blonde male with unique blue eyes walking behind Kendo with a somewhat bored look. The moment his gaze connected with yours, had his lips curving with a smile.
"Oh? Hello, miss popular.~"

"Oh, and so this time period..." went your question to the B-class students as you all found a large group table in the cafe. True to what Monoma said, you were in fact a bit more well-known in the group. Either a gift or curse, the cafe was rented out under Endeavor's name.
"I-Is this okay you guys...?" You asked worriedly to the group who were in a small daze.
"W-We're fine, it's just a bit of a surprise..." Tokage laughed patting you on the shoulder. "At least like this we won't be bothered by the crowd or have to worry about our large group causing inconvenience."
"Sorry... I had to tell my dad which cafe I was going to so I can go. I didn't think he would rent out the place..." you meekly said.
In the background, Awase and Honenuki chiding to a defeated looking Tetsutetsu; "She's way out of your league." and "Good luck."
"What a surprise to see such a popular cafe close up on a weekend." Your shoulders flinch to look at Monoma who was sipping on his cold beverage. His comment made your insides twinge with guilt. He was quickly scolded by Kendo.
Not deterred by her, he joked sarcastically. "But ain't it nice? If we bring, Miss Popular around we could get a lot of free stuff."
"The only thing good about Todoroki is for the free stuff. Hahaha!"
BADUMP!
Went the heart that pained your chest. The sensation wasn't painful, but the pressure caught you off guard, it had you dropping your pen and clutching over your heart as ragged breaths left your lips.
'W-What...?' you thought confused as your head rang with a muffled voice.
Even after hearing it very clearly, you could not recall the voice nor the words. No memory regarding the words surfaced to your mind. 'Just like in the sports festival...' you thought to yourself after much thought and guesses, you realized that your health deteriorates if these memories surface.
'Is it a bad memory?' you guessed trying to calm your frantic heart 'My body likes to reject negativity as a whole.'
"(Y-Y/N)..." Komori stuttered worriedly catching your attention. Looking up you could see the surprise and worried faces of the B-Class students. Even Monoma looked surprised at the pain-stricken look you had on your face just moments ago.
"I-It's fine...!" You squeaked nervously fixing yourself back. The pressure receding as if it were never there.
"A-Are you sure? Do we need to call off the grouping?" Kendo asked observing as if you might have another attack. "We should probably send you back home..." she added that had you panicking internally.
'W-What? Now? But we still have an hour or two more before we finish...' you thought disheartened. 'I'll just say something so that we could continue for a bit longer!'
You genuinely didn't want the grouping to be called off sooner than you planned to end. Tokage and Komori enticed you with the idea of wandering around the place after the study meet. You didn't want to go home without doing that.
'Think (Y/N)! Think!!'
"I-It's fine really!" You try to persuade "Because this happens often!"
"HEH!?"
You fucked up.
But ironically it did quench their worry. After quickly telling them it's your quirks nature as a matter to cleanse your body from negativities. Though they probably thought it was health-related as they slowly calmed down.
When you left the cafeteria it was as if the events never, you were so excited having some girl time and being one of the boys.
Though you probably didn't notice how much careful they were with you than before. The only one you couldn't handle being with was Monoma. Your body just unconsciously moves away from him probably because he was the reason a bad memory surfaced but regardless, you worry he might trigger something else so you stayed away.
That was until...
"Are you guys okay in there??"
You could hear Tetsutetsu ask. Your body felt a shudder down your spine, 'How did this happen?' you wonder internally sobbing.
"Can you stop moving?" Grumbled an annoyed voice that came from an agitated blonde as he shifts to stop his arm from cramping. "As you can see we don't have enough space so you better not hog it like a pig."
'Who knew that a street act could go so wrong?'
