3ʳᵈ POV
The four of them agreed to call it a night. Rosé and Jisoo made the decision to spend the night with the married couple. They are now entering the guest room, while the married couple is proceeding to their room, which was previously Jennie's room.
Jennie is now nervous because she doesn't know if Lisa will sleep with her tonight. She is aware that her wife is still upset with her because of what happened earlier. She decided to walk slowly and wait for her wife's actions. Jennie felt relieved when Lisa walked ahead of her and opened the door to their room to let her in first. When they get inside, Jennie turns on the light and notices Lisa walking near their bed and sitting on the edge of it. Lisa places her hands on her temples and stares at the floor. She's about to approach her when she sees her wife's swollen hands. She went to the bathroom to get the medicine kit, and when she returned, Lisa was standing there, worriedly staring at her and the kit in her hands.
"Shit, I forgot about your hands. Are they hurting?" Lisa said as she approached her wife. Jennie's eyes widened. She can't believe her wife is still thinking about her instead of herself. When Lisa notices her tears, she rushes over to hug her wife. "Does it really hurt?" The Thai worriedly asked. Jennie shakes her head and moves away from Lisa. She held Lisa's hand and dragged her to the bed to sit down.
"How can you be like this? Look, my hands are fine, but look at your hands, honey. They have cuts and swollen. You should think of yourself as well." Jennie said, her eyes welling up with tears. Lisa looks at her wife intently, sighs, and tucked a loose hair behind Jennie's ear.
"But I can't help myself. You know I will always care for you no matter what." Lisa said, looking at her intently.
"But you should think of yourself as well." Jennie said sternly before taking Lisa's hand in hers and beginning to treat her wounds.
"Ouch." Lisa winced. Jennie noticed Lisa's pained expression and decided to blow her hands to relieve her discomfort. Lisa is taken aback by her wife's actions and decides to look away from her because she is now completely flushed.
"I'm sorry." Jennie said, causing Lisa to look at her again.
"Why are you saying sorry? I'm fine, it doesn't hurt anymore." She assured her wife, but Jennie shook her head.
"It's not just about this. I'm sorry, Lisa. I'm so sorry for everything." Jennie said, her eyes welling up with tears. "You should not be in this situation because of me." Jennie said. Lisa suddenly draws Jennie close to her and forces her to sit on her lap. She kissed Jennie's head before holding her wife's face with both of her hands.
"Don't blame yourself, Love." Lisa said, wiping Jennie's tears away.
The feline-eye girl is now looking intently at the Thai, because Lisa has called her again with her endearment.
"I'm stubborn for not listening to you if-" Jennie is still speaking when Lisa suddenly kisses her on the lips.
"Hush. It already happened, and I'm so sorry for losing my temper as well a while ago." Lisa said sincerely, her face softening from before. She buries her face against Jennie's neck and inhales her favorite scent. Jennie holds Lisa's head and combs her hair with her fingers, but Lisa pulls her face away from her and looks at her with furrowed brows.
"What?" Jennie inquired.
"I know it's sudden, Love, but it really intrigues me when you blurted to Mino that he's a fucking user. Why did you call him that?" Lisa asked her wife.
"Because he's a jerk. He's a gold digger." Jennie explained before standing and sitting next to Lisa to continue treating her hands. Lisa is about to say something when Jennie interrupts her. "Mino proposed to me in the restaurant, and he thought I would say yes to him." She said, widening Lisa's eyes.
"What?! The guts of that scumbag." Lisa scrunched her nose and exclaimed. Jennie is amused by her wife's reaction, but she dismisses it and continues to speak. She told Lisa what happened in the restaurant and when Mino dragged her into the parking lot's secluded area.
"I felt sorry for him because I thought he really loved me when he got mad when I told him about my marriage, but he suddenly blurted out that I ruined his plan." Jennie said that made Lisa furrowed her brows.
"What plan?" Lisa asked. Jennie then told her everything Mino had told her. "That's why he said you're more ambitious than him, that scumbag. He even tried to sexually assault you. Mino will pay when he wakes up." Lisa said, clutching her own wrist, but Jennie hold her hand and caress it.
"I'm fine now, honey. Don't make him stress you out any further. Just let the authorities deal with him when he wakes up." Jennie told her. Lisa nods, even though she is still planning to punish him when he wakes up. "You should think of yourself as well, honey. That psycho is threatening you now. I don't know what to do if something happens to you." Jennie said, looking worriedly at her wife.
"Don't worry, love. If the guard remembers his face when he wakes up, that will be the end of that psycho because I will not stop looking for him." Lisa said. "You should rest, Love, it's been a long day for us." She said, kissing Jennie's forehead.
"How about you?" Jennie asked.
"I'm just going to give my assistant a quick call about me working from home." Lisa said, winking at her.
"I'm going to take a bath first. Let's sleep together." Jennie said, kissing Lisa's lips before grabbing the medicine kit and heading to the bathroom.
Lisa is about to dial her assistant number when Jennie speaks again.
"By the way, honey, you lied to Jisoo unnie. Our rooms are not sound proof, and I will not defend you if she tries to beat you." Jennie smirked.
"She can't beat me." Lisa teased to her wife.
The day after tomorrow.
Ruby Model Management
It's early in the morning, and Jisoo is now sitting in her office, sipping her hot choco latte, that her assistant had ordered for her. Her eyes appear tired, as if she has only slept for a few hours.
Jisoo missed work yesterday because she was moving some of her clothes to Lisa and Jennie's guest room. She was planning on taking a half-day and returning to work in the afternoon, but she and Lisa became so engrossed in playing games on her console that she decided to take the entire day off. It's almost midnight when they finish playing, and she remembers Lisa's worried expression as Jennie begins to chastise her for staying so late. But Jisoo had no regrets about playing up until that time. They haven't played in a while, and she believes Lisa and Jennie have forgotten about that psycho for a while.
Jisoo is aware that the married couple are still worried and that they are still waiting for the guard to wake up because he is the key to determining the identity of the psycho. She's still on her train of thoughts when she hears a knock on the door.
"Come in." She says, and Jennie's assistant walks in, smiling.
"Good morning, Miss Jisoo. This is Miss Ruby Jane's schedule for this week, as you requested." Nayeon said, smiling at her. Jisoo looks at her and wonders why Nayeon always appears calm when speaking to her but tense when speaking to her cousin. She decided to shrug her shoulders and check her cousin's schedule.
"She has a meeting today with the models chosen by the Manoban Group of Companies." Jisoo said.
"Yes, Miss Jisoo," Nayeon says, nodding.
"This is the one Jennie mentioned to me yesterday. I still can't believe Lisa's people chose that woman to be their model." Jisoo said and sighed. "I'm only going to say a few words with them, besides they're going to have another meeting with us and a representative from the Manobans a few days from now. Are they already in the meeting room?" She asked.
"Yes, Miss Jisoo, they are thirty minutes earlier than the meeting time." Nayeon said, and Jisoo looked surprised.
"I guess they're afraid that the kitten will chastise them if they're late." Jisoo chuckled. "Nayeon, you're coming with me. Do the minutes even if it's just a short meeting." She says as she rises from her seat.
"Of course, Miss Jisoo." Nayeon replied with a smile.
Meanwhile,
Suzy and Hanbin are now in the meeting room with their managers. They will have a meeting with the head of the Ruby Model Management. The boss informed them last Monday in their meeting that they would be the Manoban's models for their new campaign, and that they would have a separate meeting with her today.
Their managers are now conversing as if they are in their own world. Suzy is admiring her fingernails while Hanbin sits silently in his chair with his arms across over his chest.
"What's taking that bitch so long to get here?" Suzy asked quietly, but Hanbin could hear her. His train of thought came to a halt when he heard her voice.
"What did you say?" Hanbin asked, looking at the girl next to him. Suzy rolled her eyes at him but spoke again.
"We've been here for almost thirty minutes. Why is the boss bitch still not here?" Suzy asks, drawing Hanbin's attention.
"What did you call her?" Hanbin asked, glaring at her.
"What's wrong with you? It's none of your fucking business. I can call her whatever I want." Suzy said, turning away from him, but Hanbin suddenly stomped his right foot on Suzy's left foot.
"Ouch!" Suzy exclaimed in pain because she was wearing open heels. Their managers take a look at them.
"What happened?" One of the managers asked worriedly. Suzy is about to respond when Hanbin suddenly speaks.
"I'm so sorry, Miss Bae." Hanbin apologized to her. "I accidentally stomped her foot when I moved my chair." Hanbin apologized to Suzy and the managers. Suzy winced in pain and was about to say something when the door unexpectedly opened, allowing Jisoo and Nayeon to enter the room.
"What happened here?" Jisoo inquired, taking a seat at the head of the table.
"Nothing serious, Miss Jisoo. Just a minor mishap." One of the managers said, smiling to Jisoo. Suzy grimaced at the manager and rolled her eyes at Hanbin before sitting up straight in her chair, despite the fact that her foot was aching.
Jisoo nods and is about to begin the meeting when Hanbin gets her attention. "Uhm Miss Jisoo, not to be rude, but can I ask where Miss Ruby Jane is?" Hanbin asked politely.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I will be the one to have a meeting with all of you today. Miss Ruby Jane is on leave for a few days, but you don't have to worry because I will do her job when she's not around." She told them. Suzy raises one of her brows while Hanbin's face is expressionless.
"Is she ill?" Hanbin asked, concerned. Jisoo shook her head.
"No, she isn't." Jisoo stated flatly. They are all now curious, including Nayeon, who has no idea why her boss is suddenly on leave, while Suzy is now smirking.
"Trouble in paradise, I guess." Suzy mumbles to herself.
Hanbin was about to ask Jisoo again when he heard her speak again. So he simply shuts his mouth and listens.
"Are you saying something, Miss Bae?" Jisoo asked, startling Suzy.
"N-nothing." Suzy explained. "I'm just curious why she's on leave." The model said eagerly, her eyes widening. She can't believe she let her tongue slip. Jisoo raised an eyebrow and looked at her intently.
"It's none of your business, Miss Bae. You're here for work, not to gossip. I thought you were a professional." Jisoo says sternly, and the meeting begins.
Hours later.
Jisoo had just finished a phone call with her girlfriend. She told Rosé about what happened at the Manoban's house yesterday and her meeting with the models today. She proudly told her girlfriend how she chastised Suzy, and Rosé praised her for teaching that model a lesson.
She checks her wristwatch and it's only an hour left until office hours are over. She's going back to work on her laptop when her phone suddenly rings. Jisoo immediately responded When she saw Lisa's name on the screen.
"Hello. Lalisa, why did you call?" Jisoo asked
"Can you go home early today, Unnie?" Lisa asked.
"Why? What happened?" Jisoo asked, concerned.
"Jennie is alone at home, not literally alone because her bodyguards are with her, but I feel better knowing she's with you." Lisa explained.
"Sure, but where are you?" Jisoo asked.
"I'm going to the hospital to see the guard who was assaulted by that psycho." Lisa explained.
"Why? What happened to him?" Jisoo asked worriedly.
"He's awake now." Lisa said, widening Jisoo's eyes. She's about to say something when Lisa speaks again. "I can't wait to talk to him, unnie. They said he remembered everything." Lisa said with eagerness in her voice.
