I never really understood what it meant
But now I do
Love is blind
It makes you not see their flaws
It makes you not see the truth
It only traps you in a web of lies
Lies told to make you believe things
Things that aren't real
Things that are only false-
feelings that are only false
In the beginning love is just moonlight and roses
The butterflies tickling your stomach
The shine in your eyes
The skip in your step
But as time passes you begin to see the truth
You see the falseness you believed
You see the web that enveloped you
You see their true colours
And you think how petty you were
To believe such folly
How stupid you were
Only pure ignorance
Love is blind
And I understand why
