Y/n POV:
I wake up to blinding lights in my face and someone holding my hand. All my limbs ache, and my head is whirling.
I sit up slowly, and immediately flush. Shinsou is passed out next to me, clutching my hand. He wakes up at my movement, grumbling. When he notices I'm awake, he turns red and let's go, just as Papa comes in.
"Chikadee?! Are you okay? I'm so proud of you! Why did you push to hard?"
He rants and smothers me with hugs. I try to shrug him off, but he hugs me tighter.
~Time skip because reasons~
The next two weeks are torture. I hang out with Shinsou of course, but the wait is awful. Finally I spot a UA emblem on an envelope. Immediately I text Shinsou.

I GOT MY LETTER!!

Okay. Mine got here an hour ago.

Y/n POV:
I grin and dash to my room. Not five minutes later there's a knock on my bedroom door.
"Come in" I call. As soon as Shinsou gets through the door, I pull him over to my desk and tear open my letter.
Immediately All Might pops up in a projection.
"Greetings, young Takami! I am pleased to inform you that you have passed both exams with flying colors, as well as getting recommendations from myself, your father, and all of UA's staff. I hope to see you next Monday in class 1-A, hero course! PLUS ULTRA!"
It's not until the projector is off that I feel eyes in the back of my head. I tien to see Shinsou staring at me, grinning for once in his life. I smile back, then grab his envelope and open it.
However, it holds a different message.
"Greetings, young Shinsou! I am sorry to inform you that you did not pass the physical exam for the hero course. You have been accepted to general studies though. I'll see you next Monday in class 1-C. PLUS ULTRA!"
I turn, slowly, taking in Shinsou's sorrowful face. I shake my head indignantly.
"That whole system is rigged for flashy quirks. Its ridiculous. I can see if Papa can pull a few strings and get you in at least 1-B. You don't deserve genral-"
But instead of being angry, or jealous, or annoyed at least, he looks- content?
"Thanks, Y/n, but I'm glad I'm in at all. Plus, your face is cute when you're pissed..." He mumbles the last bit but my keen ears pick it up fast.
"I'm wh-aaat? How-why-" I know I look like a tomato, but I wanna know.
"Huh? Your nose scrunches up, tail gets fluffier, and ears go sideways." He almost whispers, then looks away.
He pays attention to all that? I think, awed. Shrugging, I grin and say, "So when can I come meet your folks?"
He looks confused.
"Mamma? Dada? Or two of either, I don't judge."
He seems to tense up. "Uhh sometime I guess...gotta go!" Without warning, he's gone.
