In only a sennight I will be the High Elf Queen, married to the King of Lain. He is a very handsome male but arranged marriages aren't normally very romantic. I have no right to pass judgement onto this male as I've only known him personally less than a fortnight. Orglon could very well be a satisfactory match for me.
My father, Langnnis would not allow me to refuse the proposal anyhow. Marrying this male would permit our divided lands to conjoin, stopping the wars for Kaniko River. Kaniko River is the river that divides are lands. No elf has been able to ignite it's power in 1,000 years. Supposedly the river has a High Spirit controlling the water. High Spirits have sorcerous powers although no being has ever been able to catch sight of one in our time.
Kellonis, my servant female laces my hair every forenoon, which I dislike because I'm not one for being a traditional, proper High Elf. Once she finishes I prefer untwining bits of it just to rebel a little. Today she did not pressure me into the lacing as she would normally do. She can sense I am uneasy about the arranged marriage.
"Kellonis, I appreciate this." I give my gratitude. She nods my way and proceeds to gather my nightwear in a bundle. I am perfectly capable of doing this task myself but my father insists I stay a proper princess. Proper royalty in the elf kingdoms do not do their own household tasks. I'm very appreciative of Kellonis for being so lenient on me growing up. She would let me break fathers rules and help her with the cooking. Over the years I've gained knowledge on most of her tasks by watching her.
Today Orglon and I will be surveying the teachings of the elvish children. This is going to give them insight to our elvish politics. As I make my way to Orglons quarters I am blocked by a male. I have never seen this male before but then again father has over 100 servant males in the palace. Elves are not ones to be forgetful, but I suppose it is possible. We have the superior minds compared to all the other beings living on the lands. Considering there are over 20 other races living on the lands, that really says something.
"Excuse me, princess you are looking lovely as ever." The male lowers his head to show he is inferior to me.
" I appreciate that, I do not believe I have seen you around my quarters before." I say with confidence.
"Orglon sent me for you." He continues lowering his head and extends his hand. I analyze his movement hoping to see if he is a trained servant male. He extended his hand the proper way a servant male should, clenched fist so as not to take the hand of royalty. I place my hand upon the top of his hand as he leads me away.
