A tabby pelt glinted in the moon light as a tom slunk around the old Twoleg clearing. "Flower? Are you here?" He called out in the darkness. " Yes, my love. Come see the kits." A purring voice echoed out of the old shack. As he slipped into the room, a bunch of squeaking kits tumbled into his legs, warm and fuzzy. "MAAMAA! A strange cat is in the den!" Cried a little yellow tom with black stripes. " He smells like fish. Yuck!" Said a little tabby tom, inching up behind his brother." Kits! Don't be rude! He is your father." Flower purred, hurrying them to the nest she had created. A little sneeze sounded out of the nest. " Oh, Breezeleaf, do you think she will make it?" Flower asked worriedly. "I am sure she will be fine. What are the little ones names?" He reassured her, and gazed at the three kits in the nest. "This one is Bumble," Flower said, pointing to the little yellow tom, " and this one is Swifty," the little tabby puffed his chest out proudly. " And this is moon." The tiny she kit poked her silver head out of the nest and mewed. " My - my love, they are beautiful." Breezeleaf said shakily, and licked the top of each kits head.
"He went this way! Come on!" Yowled a gruff voice, about four fox lengths away. "My dear, who is that?" Flower asked worriedly to her mate. "Thunderclan. I have to go now, love. Take care of the kits!" The tom ran out the back of the den. Will my kits and mate make it? Thought Breezeleaf and he ran into the darkness.
