I twist and turn in my bed trying to find a comfortable position. I couldn't. Mr Varallo's questions kept swimming in my head. Where did you come from? I'm not even certain myself. I've always had dreams of my past but it wasn't exactly clear.
I didn't know who my parents were. If I had siblings. A pet. A friend. I knew nothing about my life before the orphanage and it sucked.
My mind casually swims to Mr Varallo. He wanted me in a sexual way and if our situation was different and I was more confident, I would have slept with him by now.
When I was little and couldn't sleep I'd always go sleep in my friend Amelia's room. I get up from my bed and go to Mr Varallo's room.
Yes, I actually go to his room. As stupid as it sounds and as desperate as it made me sound I wanted someone to talk to about it and I didn't exactly have any friends are family members to rant to about it.
I knock on the door softly and I hear a faint come in. I take a deep sigh before entering his room and closing the door.
"Arabella?" He asks, tilting his head to look at me. He was just lying there on his bed.
"I can't sleep," I mumble feeling quite embarrassed.
"So you want me to tell you a bedtime story?" He asks, sitting up slowly. "I can't, I have a big meeting tomorrow and you know that."
"Can I just stay here? With you?" I question.
He looks at me with wide eyes before a smirk appears on his face. "You want to have sex?" He confirms.
"No!" I exclaim allowing my face to turn red. "I just can't sleep, that's all."
"I'm not letting you stay here until I get something in return."
"And what is that?" I ask suspiciously, crossing my hands over my chest.
"I want you to admit you do want me, and to allow me to do whatever I want to you." He says.
"I'll just go back to my room," I say turning around.
"Okay wait. Come over here." He pats the spot next to him for me to sit down.
Once I get comfortable I rest my head on his shoulder. "Thank you," I mumble.
He holds my hand gently tracing circles on my palm. He isn't as heartless as that man made him out to be. He was actually quite sweet. Well maybe it was just to me but who knows.
I close my eyes and soak in the quietness. "Sorry for not responding to you earlier but yes. I did come from an orphanage."

A short chapter. Sorry, but you'll be seeing a few of these. When writing this book I thought this would be a short story, 20-30 chapters because of how fast I wanted them to fall for each other.

I'd like to thank you guys again for reading my book. I'm happy I reached my second goal which was 150 reads. We're at 159 at the moment. My third goal for the end of this year is 175. I don't expect 200 by the end of this year, let me not lie, but I'd be happy if I reach there by December 31st.
