"So, are we there yet? Or would it take you some thousand years to drive us to whatever it is that you wanted to show me?" The boy quirked a brow at Emmett, who was silently humming to himself.

"We are almost there. I wasn't quite aware of the exact location of this place, hence it took me some time to navigate its exact whereabouts but nevertheless, we are here." With a sigh, he had abruptly stopped the car before facing him, just to gauge his reaction.

"It is a castle. You wanted to show me a castle?" He couldn't help but frown at the thought of discovering only a castle.

"Yes, this is the Glamis Castle. It is quite renowned and famously revered in Dundee for the history that it seems to possess and I thought it would be worth showing to you." Emmett intellectualised.

"So, are we going to take a look inside or stay cloaked here, in which case the ghost of some brawny, little King decides to haunt us for apparently, acting like some pesky invaders?"  The boy asked after some time.

"I am afraid that we cannot catch a glimpse of the castle's interior since it is way past the visiting time. But, I did not come here to only show you Glamis. Let's take a step outside, shall we? I swear you are going to adore this." Emmett exclaimed excitedly as he opened the car door and stepped outside to observe the view.

"If you say so, grey eyes." He stated enthusiastically as he stretched his limbs upon stepping out of his compact car.

"Would you like to accompany me to the West side of this enormous site?" Emmett offered, biting his lip to show his apparent hesitation.

"Surely, you're not going to hand me over to the royalty, right?" The boy couldn't help but ask.

"You'd be surprised at what I can do, but for now, you don't have to fear a thing, just follow me." Emmett gave him an assuring smile as he beckoned him to follow his league.

"Aren't you forgetting something, darlin'? He asked slyly, staying transfixed to his place.

"What?" Emmett turned around to stare at him, he couldn't pinpoint as to what he could be forgetting.

"My hand, you nerd. We go together, you and I. And I'd much prefer if you would rather hold my hand, wouldn't really want you to run off with some Prince, now would I?" He remarked.

"Oh, sure."

With flaming cheeks aflame, Emmett slowly walked towards him, furiously blushing a soft pink, as he approached him. He was, indubitably, fascinating, like some eccentric, extravagantly preposterous looney-toon, fabled to make-believe into the world imaginary, something that struck him as rather unusual for surely, he wasn't falling for him, was he? It was this twinge of neverending agony that would twist itself into the mainstream of where his heart would thump against his chest in an almost arbitrary, inconsistently, haphazardous way, wherein all he could do was feel this pang of paranoia, too enraged to feel, too broken to seal, and too miserable to foresee whenever he'd look at him, and if these were some symptoms for a disease that Emmett already had a suffering history of, then he was hilariously doomed.

"So what is on the west side?" He mused as they walked hand in hand.

"Just something that maybe you'd like to see." Emmett answered as he gave him a nonchalant shrug, concealing his highly driven emotions.

"You're tryin' to sound mysterious, but it ain't workin' in your favour, lad." He looked at him amused.

Emmett only chuckled in response," I am not trying to be anything, this is how I usually behave."

"Absurd, but I quite fancy those grey eyes, so consider me interested." He cracked a smile.

"Duly noted. And we are here." Emmett commented as soon as they had rounded the corner.

"This is all barricaded, grey eyes. I don't understand."He remarked confusedly.

"We are not going inside, just look in the direction of the castle walls and you'll see it for yourself." Emmett urged.

"Sounds good." He responded before turning into the said direction.

Golden, everything was, gloriously hued in blissful colours of gold yellow, yet Emmett was fixated on the raven-haired boy, who was clearly astounded to see such a ravenous sight. Golden, his usually calm, jaded jewels of delight imbued the radiating magnificence of the setting diamond in the stellar sky. At that moment, Emmett could almost call him an Angel, for he was shining so brightly, as if the World was framed to fit in his glamourous orbs that were almost set alight, too free for the plight. He was incomprehensibly golden, resembling every little, capriciously detailed phenomena of the Universe, he glimmered inconspicuously, encompassing the light like the Titan Hyperion befitting the life as a watcher and father of Dawn, Sun and Moon. And Emmett was simply aghast with this realisation, he dumbly watched him as he watched the Sunset upon the Castle Hills.

"This is mindblowing, darlin'! How did you know about this?" He asked, flabbergasted to see such a marvellous sight.

"I am not sure, it's just something I remembered whilst we were talking about seeing the castle's interior and I thought that maybe, it'd be worth showing you." Emmett shrugged.

"This is truly a remarkable sight to behold. I am feelin' all golden."

"Because you are, golden."

"Excuse me?"

"This persona, this aura that you seem to exhibit, is illuminating. Anyone can easily be drawn to it like a honey bee is to a brightly lit flower because you are full of light and life, and this, lifeless piece of some archaic creation is but an impoverished, parched plot of land with only half a past, it can never compare to the shine your soul has been blessed to possess and I doubt, it ever will." Emmett elaborated, shyly.

"You really mean that, don't you?" He asked, staring intensely into his precious orbs of grey in utter bewilderment.

"Every word." Was all Emmett could say.

"So, what is this history that you speak of?" He cleared his throat, as he keenly observed his surroundings.

"Sure. This castle was mostly built in the 17th century yet the history that it holds, stretches back to the 1st century when, everything was pretty much in shambles. There was a different sort of a castle here, one that has been mentioned in Shakespeare's Macbeth, and somewhere, Macbeth was said to have killed King Duncan in this castle, but nothing can be said for sure that whether this account holds any truth in regards to the real Kings of Scotland-Macbeth and Duncan or is just a fable, developed in fiction by an acclaimed playwright. Nevertheless, it is also known for its apparently famed horror stories. I'd much rather avoid talking about them altogether since I do not take any pleasure in relishing and fantasising about ghosts and ghouls and whatnot. So, here you have it." Emmett summarised, somberly looking at the stone-walled castle.

"Interesting, I am not much of a believer myself in the world of supernatural but it is enchanting to hear, is it not?" He asked.

"Yes, I believe it is of much pleasure to the ears of the young as it is to the minds of the old, to hear these mystifying stories and claiming them to withhold factual truths. There's always a relief in foretelling a story that has been passed down to you through generations but that is all it could ever be, a story. There is not a single trace of the existence of such spirits." Emmett deliberated.

"I agree and this brings me to an important question that I'd like to ask now, darlin' if you will allow me?" He questioned with some hesitance.

"You do not have to ask me." Emmett pointed out.

"Very well. When I had informed you of this date, I did mention to make you see a place that is a favourite of mine and seeing that we still have some time, would you like to go with me?"

"I would love that."

"I knew you would, grey eyes. So, shall we?" The boy grinned, offering him his hand.

"Yes, we shall." Emmett responded, mirroring his smile as he entwined their hands again, before following him to his car.
