Hi babes!!

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

"Wow! How exciting!" Hanako called, seating herself on one of the cots in the room. Recovery Girl had left us for the remaining hour we had to spend in our clinicals. Only one person had come in so far when she was here, for a band-aid.

"But no one has really come in yet."

"So? That just means no one has gotten hurt! Score for us," she said and Ryou rolled his eyes, fluffing the pillows for something to do. There was a knock at the door and in came a girl, limping so she didn't put any weight on her left foot.

"I need some help," she said. I immediately being the one closest to her offered up a hand for her to grip onto.

"What happened?" I asked, allowing her to sink comfortably onto the nearest cot.

"I twisted my ankle in gym," she replied and Hanako went straight for a report form, handing it off to Ryou.

"You mind if I touch you?" I asked, kneeling down.

"No, go ahead," she replied. I placed a hand on her shoe, steadying her ankle. I diagnosed it as a full sprain, my eyes flashing to a pale yellow to let me know it was a joint issue.

"Here, I'll make a numbing bandage for pain," Hanako said, pulling down a wrap bandage from the cabinet. There was a beautiful green leafed plant sprouting out of her skin, which she easily plucked off to make into a paste.

"I'm going to heal you halfway and with the bandage and rest you should be good," I said. "Do you mind if I take your shoe off?" She shook her head, letting me take the thing off her foot. I placed a hand around her ankle, a soft golden glow peeking out from where my hand was on her skin. Ryou distracted her by taking her information and calming her down. Even without diagnosis, it was obvious to me she was trying hard not to freak out. I stepped aside while Hanako wrapped the bandage around her ankle.

"Thank you," she murmured, allowing me to slip the shoe back on and tie it for her.

"Would you like to sit here or head back to class?" I asked and she stated she wanted to return. I nodded, quickly signing a pass she could take back. She thanked us again, slightly hobbling out. It probably didn't hurt anymore, but was still feeling odd.

"I've never seen you that up and at 'em. You were really on top of that," Hanako commented. I glanced up, seeing she was talking to me.

"Oh, yeah. I like doing this kind of stuff," I said. Not even a minute later, the door shot open as two figures bumbled in.

"You heavy oaf!" I recognized Jirou saying it, struggling to hold up Kaminari. I hurried over to her side, immediately taking Kaminari's fee arm over my shoulder. "Thank you (y/n)."

"What happened?!" I asked, helping the two of them to a cot. He collapsed onto one, his head lulled forward.

"Ugh, he got his ass kicked by Bakugo and short circuited," she said.

"Short what?"

"Too much electricity," she said, gesturing to his figure which was rocking around slightly his chin tucked into his chest. "Sorry, Aizawa-sensei said I have to get back quick. Thanks for taking care of him."

"Wh--" she disappeared out of the room and I glanced back at Kaminari. He seemed to be sitting fine, but couldn't hold his own head up. I looked to Hanako and Ryou.

"He's your boyfriend, you figure out what's up with him," Hanako said.

"He's not--oh whatever," I scoffed, pulling up a rolling stool. I sat myself in front of Kaminari, leaning over to try and get a look at his face. "Kaminari?" I placed hands at his jaw to lift his head up, immediately yanking them back when I felt an electric shock run through my body. "Ow! What the--"

"What?"

"He just shocked me. What the heck am I supposed to do?" I asked.

"I--" Ryou was interrupted when Recovery Girl returned.

"Ryou and Hanako, I need you to come deal with a student," she called, her attention being drawn to me. "Oh my, short circuited again?"

"What does that even mean?"

"He's run out of energy dear, just charge him up. You'll be alright here alone right? Come on kids," she said, gesturing to them. I just looked to Hanako with a slight panic and she just shrugged, leaving me alone. I looked to the slumped figure, sighing and taking hesitant hands back to his face. This time he didn't shock me, just pulling his face to look up at me. He had a dopey expression on his face, almost like his brain had been fried. Had it been?

"Kaminari?" He didn't respond or look at me at all, blood running down from his nose. His eyes were glazed over and squinting. I watched his mouth grow up into a smile, giving me a thumbs up on each hand.

"Whey?" he breathed and I grimaced, knowing he most definitely didn't know I was here. Poor guy. I sighed and pressed his shoulders backwards so he rested against the wall at the head of the cot.

"Charge him up?" I murmured to myself, confused as to what that meant. My eyes scanned over him, my eyes darkening to a dull grey. He was obviously exhausted and energy depleted from overuse of his quirk. Short circuiting.

My eyes flashed red next as I looked at the blood from his nose and the lacerations and abrasions on his body. I reached out another hand to perhaps re-energize him with my quirk, feeling him shock me. I pulled away, hissing to myself as he sat back up to pump his thumbs up towards me, making another weak noise. It was obvious I had to figure out how to charge him up without touching him, so I could fix up his cuts and bruises. He rocked around and I sighed. I looked to my bag, remembering that I had a phone charger in there. That was stupid, right? I tugged it out, keeping an eye on Kaminari so he didn't fall. I plugged it in the wall, taking the charging end in my hand. This was the stupidest idea I've had yet. There was no way this would work, there was no where to put it. I placed it against his arm and he just bumbled.

"I must be stupid," I sighed.

"Pretty nurse." I glanced up, seeing him look lazily at me. "Hello...nurse."

"Nurse? Is that because I'm a girl? I could be a doctor you know. I'm going to be a doctor," I said. He just stared at me dumbly, laughing slightly.

"Pretty nurse." I scoffed, knowing he had no idea what I was saying. I felt my face go slightly warm at the fact he had called me pretty, also happy that neither Ryou nor Hanako were present to hear it. "Pretty nurse."

"Yeah, I get it," I said, rolling my eye. He leaned forwards, almost like a fall with his lips puckered. I panicked, thinking he was going in for a kiss. I placed a hand to stop him by his face, instead shoving the charger in between his lips. He paused, biting down on the thing. He leaned back, seeming content and I watched him. Was that like a pacifier for him? I was suddenly fascinated by him, ignoring the advance he had just made. He had no idea what he was doing, it was fine. "Alright buddy, I think I can clean you up now."

He didn't respond, just seated there as he charged. I slipped on a pair of gloves, cleaning up the drip of blood down his nose first. I brushed back his hair with my fingers, wiping off a cut there. My eyes scanned over his body, spotting one on his neck and one on his arm. I took his chin in one of my hands, tilting his head to wipe off his neck and then took him by the hand to wipe his forearm. I let go of his hand to stand up and throw away the wipe. He gripped my hand and I turned back to look at him. He still looked unresponsive, but aware I was leaving.

"I'll be right back." He eased up and I slipped my hand away from his. I tossed the wipe and grabbed bandages from their containers. I sat back down on my stool, rolling up to the cot. I placed a hand over his forehead, hovering slightly so I didn't touch his injury. My hand glowed a soft red to patch up the cut. I placed a band-aid over the spot to ensure the small mark that was still there didn't get infected. I did the same for his other 2, followed by a patch for his neck and a large band-aid for his arm.

"Pretty nurse."

"You're still on that?" I asked. He didn't look at me or respond, but I still found myself talking to him. I went over each bruise with a healing hand so they faded a majority. I glanced up, fixing his hair so it laid right. I re-positioned the charger in between his teeth, his eyes drooping while he recharged. I smiled slightly, the goofy and tired expression on his face was kind of cute. I shook my head, placing hands on either side of his shoulders to lay him back against the pillow while he charged. He just slumped forward and I caught him with a solid grunt. Jirou was right, he was kind of heavy when he was just playing dead weight. I let out a strained breath, trying to place him back but he was intent on slumping his head over my shoulder. I finally sighed, placing hand on his back in a hug.

"Pretty nurse."

"Okay Kami," I replied, running strokes along his back. He just remained seated on the bed but leaned forward so his head could lay sideways on my shoulder and his hands rested against either sides of my legs, limp against the free spots on the outer edges of the stool. The charger cable was running from the wall across the front of my throat to his mouth, so I switched the cable over my head to rest on the back of my neck instead. My arms returned to rest on his back, taking the opportunity to place energizing hands on his back.

It quite reminded me of how to deal with seizure patients, thought this was obviously a lot less violent. He was peaceful in my arms, but I could sense he was extremely tired. I scratched his head through his hair briefly as I felt the breath from his nose run over my neck. I swallowed nervously, returning my hand to his back. He seemed comfortable here, so I didn't mind. He had overworked himself so he deserved a break. I felt rather sympathetic for his condition. He had to go through this all the time and while it could be perceived as amusing by the expression on his face, it was still sad to think about. What it must be like to be in this state, all by yourself.

"You work hard, huh?" I said. He didn't respond, basically asleep on my shoulder now. I just helped bolster his energy level with my quirk, rubbing his back as I placed a soft cheek against his head. Just giving him that little bit was draining for me. It was almost like sympathy pain, growing tired from exchanging the energy. I yawned.

I couldn't help but feel that Kaminari had neglected to tell me this downside to his quirk because he was embarrassed. It mustn't seem very cool on a base level to appear so silly upon using too much of his quirk. It made me feel even worse for him, knowing what his classmates must say about it. Even Jirou had not been too sympathetic, bringing him in here. Sure he wanted to become a hero, but that didn't mean he didn't deserve sympathy or attention. I shut my eyes for a moment, feeling even more tired now.

Eventually, I stopped using my quirk to just let him sleep and recharge on his own. I tried my hardest to reach for my homework, scratching down answers while he laid still in my arms. I eventually finished, peering at him. It had well passed my clinical time, which meant Hanako and Ryou would probably be back soon. At the thought, they arrived back.

"Yeah--" Ryou stopped in his tracks, looking over to me. I just pressed my lips together in an awkward smile.

"Wow, and what were you two up to?" Hanako asked, wriggling her eyebrows.

"Very funny," I replied sarcastically.

"What's up with him?" Ryou asked.

"Charging I guess? I don't know he fell asleep like this and I don't have the heart to move him," I responded. "What happened with you guys?"

"Recovery Girl needed me to calm someone down from a panic attack," Ryou said. "Since...my quirk is mental."

"I made muscle relaxers for them," Hanako added and I nodded, shifting Kaminari back onto my shoulder from where he was falling. "You going to be alright here? It's past your time."

"Yeah, I'll wait until RG gets here. I've got nowhere to be and I actually got my homework done already so." I nodded them off and they left together, leaving me alone again. I just leaned my head back on Kaminari's for a short moment. I pulled out my phone, looking through a couple of things. I felt Kaminari snuggle his face into my neck, causing my face to heat up like crazy. I quietly cleared my throat, glancing away as his hands felt around lightly for the warms of my legs. He was waking up. I placed my phone aside, the charger falling from his mouth to the floor behind me with a clatter. "Kami?"

"(y/n)?" he asked, picking up his head tiredly. He was still fully leaned over, propping himself up with his hands on my legs. His face was so very close to me and I felt my stomach pinch in excitement. He blinked a few times, his breath sweeping over my face, before he realized what was happening. He nearly leapt back, scrambling back to the opposite edge of the cot.

"Hi, you short circuited in class. Jirou brought you in and I fixed up some of your injuries and made sure you were charged. You kind of passed out on my shoulder," I said, placing a soft hand at the back of my neck. "You feeling alright now?"

"Uh, yeah," he replied. He was blushing furiously and I just stood up from the stool. I rolled it away, taking out a form and filling it out quickly for him. They were not close like my bag and I signed off on it, tucking it away for the day. I glanced back to see Kaminari staring at me.

"You okay Kami?"

"Yeah," he muttered, looking away.

"I hope you don't mind, I healed you with my quirk. I didn't really have your consent, but you were all 'whey' and 'pretty nurse' so I figured I might as well," I said.

"I said what?"

"Well, you kept calling me pretty nurse," I said, "So I assume you knew where you were or who I was, kind of."

"I'm...sorry."

"It's fine. I prefer pretty doctor actually," I pointed out and he paused slightly, smiling at me. "That was a joke, you can laugh." He just chuckled. "Here, stand up. I only got one bruise on your leg, but you should be alright with that. I just want to know if you're feeling dizzy or anything like that."

"Yeah," he said, standing up. I placed a finger in front of his face.

"Follow," I instructed and he did once each side before his eyes stopped in the middle on me. I lowered my finger, peering at him curiously. "What?"

He didn't say anything, leaning in slightly. I paused, my whole body freezing. Was he about to kiss me? What was he doing? I leaned towards him ever so slightly when the door opened. He leapt away from me again and I quickly crossed my arms over my stomach. Recovery Girl had returned.

"You're still here?"

"Yeah, just waiting on Kaminari," I replied. "The forms are in the envelope and everything should be cleaned up, I'll take him to get his stuff."

"Good work today, (y/n)," she replied. I grabbed my bag, gesturing to Kaminari to follow me out the door. He did and we headed for the gym where he most likely left his things. I walked beside him for a moment before turning to see he was staring at me again.

"Are you seriously okay?" I asked and he nodded. "How come you didn't tell me about the short circuiting?"

"Eh, it's just...embarrassing," he said. Usually Kaminari was full of life and vigor, constantly flirting and leading the conversation. Now he was quiet and observant, still tired from his overuse. He was fully charged, but was still weary from it all, sleep included.

"I don't think so," I replied and he just shrugged me off. "It's something you have to work with and work around. It must be hard to have to go through that a lot. Really tiring."

"Is that why you didn't want to wake me up?"

"Well, yeah," I said. "Being a good medical professional isn't just about having a quirk or skill for it, you have to make sure every patient gets exactly what they need and feels comfortable. You really needed a nap."

"Thanks. For taking care of me," he said, quietly.

"No problem. You're doing better now, that's the goal," I replied.

"You don't have to walk with me the whole way there," he said and I shrugged.

"No, I want to," I responded and he smiled gently. I was digging my own grave by choosing to act this way around Kaminari, knowing that the more I crushed on him the worse it would be for me. "What's it like?"

"What?"

"The short circuiting."

"It's...kind of like anesthesia. You ever had that?" he asked. I nodded. "Well, it's like that, where you feel like your out for a short time, even though it's probably longer than it seems. It's probably as disorienting as anesthesia too. The only thing is it's a lot more strenuous. Kind of like a big, dark fever dream."

"I'm sorry, that doesn't sound fun."

"It's not."

"You're very strong to deal with that so often. I'm proud you're so brave," I said simply and he stopped walking beside me just before we reached the gym. I stopped ahead, looking back at him. "You okay?"

"Yeah, thanks for saying that. Nobody ever really says that," he replied and I smiled gently. He retrieved his bag, changing out of the gym uniform he had showed up in. I walked back with him towards where the hall split between teacher and student dorms. "Did I do anything else?"

"Besides calling me pretty nurse?" I asked and his face flushed again.

"Sorry again about that," he said. I just smirked at him and looked down the hall.

"You shocked me a couple of times, which was interesting. I've never been shocked before," I replied and he looked at me strangely.

"I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" he asked.

"No, it's alright. It wasn't all that bad. Kind of like static electricity," I explained and he nodded. "Now we've both used our quirks on each other."

"Yeah, we have."

"I'll see you tomorrow Kami," I said, turning to him as we reached the part of the hallway we had to split. My lips curled up into a gentle, caring smile. I usually only acted like this when I was taking care of someone, which was technically what I was doing now.

"Thanks (y/n)."

"No problem," I replied, waving to him. He looked at me admirably which made my face turn red again as I walked off, returning back home. My father was awaiting my return, seated on the coffee table instead of the open couch.

"Were you at clinicals that long?"

"Yeah," I replied, setting my bag aside.

"Why? I thought they ended an hour ago?" he asked. He was acting as if I had disappeared, this one time forgetting to text him where I would be.

"A patient ran over and I was the only one in the office. Your student," I pointed out.

"Kaminari," he stated, knowing exactly who was sent to the office.

"Yeah, he was pretty much passed out from exhaustion. I couldn't leave him in the office alone so I just sat there," I explained. "I was too busy watching him and cleaning up his cuts, sorry I didn't tell you I'd be staying over time."

"It's alright," he cringed and I crossed my arms over my chest.

"You have a problem with the fact I was healing Kaminari, don't you?"

"No," he replied defensively and I gave him a knowing look to which he sighed. "Yes."

"What was I supposed to do? Just leave him there to bleed and short circuit?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Of course not, you just know I'm not the biggest fan of this whole...Kaminari thing. I'm trying my best to be okay with you hanging around him," he replied. I let out a soft exhale, nodding. "Nemuri is coming for dinner, I suppose you'll want to stay and see her, not eat with friends today?"

"Yeah," I nodded, excusing myself up the stairs to take a brief nap. Helping Kaminari had been fulfilling, but oddly exhausting. I usually didn't get that tired from using my quirk, but maybe that was because I used my healing to energize him.

Either way, I needed sleep.
