Author's Note: I've Turned this from a Post-Halloween chapter into a Post-Christmas Chapter, this is because I was so behind on the Halloween stuff I decided to make it into Christmas Stuff, so clearly the story hasn't changed much, except it's now nearing Christmas sooooooooooo, yeah, a sackful of invitations to a Christmas party instead
So, while writing this, I felt a bit "cheesy" and wrote down some (probably) "gouda" stuff, oh, and Danny, you probably have been waiting for this for some time, but anyway, no more fight scenes in the chapter, just some sweet "cheesy" goodness of a love story, this may even blow your "rind" (mind), hope ya'll have a "grate" "thyme" and as always, enjoy!

SolarFlare chapter 3: A Normal Picnic
Ah, it's almost the end of November and
It's been a while since you introduced yourself to Solar, and you gotta admit, she's one heck of a friend, a few moments after you left the Arcade that day, Solar said she was gonna prank a friend of hers, "aw, c'mon (Y/n), she'll never know, promise" she said with a cute face, you sighed and agreed.
Ever since then she's been around whenever she can, sometimes in the arcade, sometimes in the house, which was sometimes creepy because she didn't use the front door
It's Friday, and that means P.E. you packed your things in your bag and headed for the schoolyard, where most of your classmates were already warming up, you looked around for Matt and Zack, 'their usually late' you said, worrying that they might get scolded by your Gym teacher, Mr. G
Mr. Gordon or Mr. G is a big guy, he has huge biceps and is a bodybuilder time a hundred, his teeth are so big that his smile is huge, he has been teaching Gym classes for as long as you can remember.
Finally, you found Zack and Matt warming up at a corner "hey (Y/n)!" Zack called "over here!" you ran over to them, "I thought you were coming late, again," you said with relief
"Nah, I had to drag Matt out here" Zack replied who nudged Matt on the shoulder "ugh, yeah, it's true" then Matt leaned in close and whispered "I hate P.E." you chuckled, "well looks like it, you even forgot to bring an extra water bottle" you replied
Matt sighed "yeah, I know"
"cheer up mate, we'll get through this" Zack said while stretching his arms
Just then you heard a whistle, it's was Mr. G, "atteeeeeeeeention! Every one line up!" he said in his big voice
Everyone lined up in rows of five "every single one of you have one job, and that's to not Fail in the Sports Marathon coming up, however, some of you don't even exercise well enough, most of you are just slobs with no energy, as long as I see some Good fighting spirit, lots of exercise and training, I'll be sure to not let you repeat 25 push-ups, now start!" Mr. G blew his whistle and everyone started.
The first training you had to go through was crawling under barb wire, now I know this feels more like military training, but what can I say? "wire" you even reading this message? Anyway, after that there's the push-ups, 20, to be exact, then tug of war, followed by a break, then climbing up a rope ladder, walking up and downstairs, sit-ups, anime break/toilet break, running for 10 minutes, and... (a bunch of other things that might take up the entire chapter)
(Saitama level of training hours later)
Everyone became one punch man- (wait... what? Wha- no... srsly? Now? Hold up... that's not true)
(back to the REAL story)
Some were still doing more exercises while some of you were taking a break (that includes you and your friends) "why did I leave my extra water bottle?" Matt whined.
"Sometimes I'm almost certain you do that on purpose," Zack said laughing.
"I do not!" Matt said taking a breath "I wish we had something to cool us off
"me too" you replied
"me three" Zack joined in
"here," said a voice handing each of you a water bottle
Zack couldn't believe his eyes "a miracle!" Matt laughed and so did some other students
You looked up "no way," you said in surprise
"yes way my dude" Solar said smiling under the shade of her cap, she was also wearing sunglasses and was giving water bottles to the tired students
"I never thought I'd see you here bro," she said lightly punching your arm.
"I can't believe it either," Zack said wiping sweat from his forehead.
"well, I've been assigned to check out this school just in case of a zombie attack"
"Hey, uh wanna hang out after school?" Zack asked with a smirk
You glared at him 'don't you dare' you thought
"sure! See ya dudes!" she said walking towards the cafeteria
(later later later later later later later later)
"so, where should we go now?" Matt asked
"well, why don't we make a picnic? Just the two of yo-" Matt nudged Zack in the elbow before he could say anymore
"well, I'm tired of trying to beat that new high score at the arcade" solar thought deeply "I'm in"
"well (Y/n)? you're the only one who didn't say anything" Zack said Smirking
If only you could throw him in a lake then fish him out and throw him in a volcano "fine, I guess" you sighed in defeat
(so much later that Sunrise got scolded, and he now has to finish his school projects)
"and remember, be nice to girls," your mom said for like the thousandth time.
"mom, for the last time she's a flower, besides, Zack and Matt are coming too."
"don't forget to wear something decent, it always impresses the ladies, oh and combs your hair, you don't want to spoil your looks like that do you?"
You sighed, whenever you mention a girl to your mom, be it a human or plant, she instantly tries to make both of you date.
"mom, it's fine, I got this, besides we're just friends"
"well you could try to be more, right?" your mom said winking at you while handing the picnic basket
"Mom..." you groaned
"don't worry dear" your mother stroked your head "you'll get one eventually" even though that's not what you were hoping her to say
(later)
"hey, dudes! There you are!" Solar said excitedly, she was wearing heart sunglasses and a striped floppy hat with a feather on top, you blushed 'she's so cute' you thought
"hey solar! Nice outfit!"
She giggled "thanks, although I'd rather go out looking the same, I considered this a special occasion"
"s-sp-pe-special o-occ-occasion?!" you suddenly stuttered
Solar smiled "of course because we're all friends now right? I mean, it is a special occasion if you have new friends"
You sighed 'at least'
"absolutely, and (Y/n) what's with the face?" Zack said raising an eyebrow
You shook your head "huh? Uh nothing!" you said still rather red
"I haven't noticed," Matt said "but why are you wearing such a formal attire? You look like you're on a date or something"
"what!? No I-its, uh my mom said... well..."
"Dudes, look!" Solar said
'safe' you thought as you looked at the direction that Solar was pointing
There were a peashooter and a guy having a picnic too, and another guy that looked oddly like Jacksepticeye
"that's Greenshadow! My bestie!" solar said even more excitedly "hold on, you guys prepare the food, I'm going to say hi"
With that, solar was off towards Greenshadow
"c'mon admit it" Zack said sheepishly
"a-admit what?" you said flustered even more
"you and solar seem like a pretty good duo" Matt said
you started talking like you like depended on it "what me? And solar? Pfff how silly! I never thought about that in all my life! It's not that I Like her or something, we're totally friends besides, she's a flower and I'm a human, what kind of relationship would be between us? Nah sorry man you probably-"
"hey Solar! (Y/n) has something to say!" Zack interrupted
You shoved Zack to the ground before he could say anymore
"what?" called solar
"oh uh, the food is ready!" Matt replied, he then winked at you
"oh okay!" solar called back, she then said something to Greenshadow and went back to your picnic spot
"who was that?" you asked
Solar looked at you blinking twice 'damn she's cute' you thought
"oh that? That was greeny, my bestie, she's having a picnic date with... say, you and her date actually have the same name" she said grabbing a sandwich
"huh, really?" you asked opening a soda can
"yeah, I met (Y/n#1) before a lot of times when fighting zombie heroes"
"that's true (Y/n), you do have the same name, weird" Matt said holding a magnifying glass and looking through the soil
Zack on the other hand was skeptical, "now that's something you don't see every day, and anyway... Matt?"
"hmm?"
"what. Are. You. Doing?
"oh science"
"really? We came here to have fun!"
"I hate outside unless I get to do my thing"
"is this how you really act when I'm not at your house?"
"maybe-"
and that conversation went on, you would still be listening to them argue if Solar hadn't asked you a question
"hey (Y/n)?"
"y-yeah," you said startled
"you wouldn't mind going to a party with me would you?"
For some unknown reason, the two jerk balls you called friends stopped arguing and decided to listen
"u-uh, w-well that depends..."
"it's a Christmas Party coming, I was told I could bring anyone I liked, and..." she started blushing,
'whoa whoa' you thought 'a little uncomfortable here'
"and... uh... would you like, uh join me? You can bring Matt and Zack along as well"
"s-sure! Of course! I'd love to spend time with- I-I-I mean yeah, I'd love to go to the party, w-with my friends of course" 'what am I saying?!' you thought 'am I crazy?'
You glanced uneasily to your friends who were smirking and giving you thumbs up 'not helping' you thought annoyingly
"oh good, see ya later!" she said walking away
"oh yeah," Matt and zack said together "(Y/n) got a girlfriend, (Y/n) got a girlfriend"
"what are you? A kindergartener?" you asked annoyed, welp, somethings you just can't avoid can you, my dear (Y/n)

Greenshadow chapter 10: A real date?
you were lying on the couch taking a nap, when suddenly Petals bashes into the living room waking you with a start
"(Y/n) (Y/n) (Y/n) let's go on a picnic!"
"yeah! great idea" said Jack at the front door
"uh, what?"
"a picnic!" petals and Jack said together
"did you say picnic?" said rainbow walking into the room "I'm in!"
"well (Y/n) what do you say?" you looked and all of them, one by one, finally you said "alright, let's make a picnic!"
"Yeah!" everyone cheered
"(Y/n) ako na bahala sa pagkain ha? [ (Y/n) I'll take care of the food okay?]"
"sige po nay(okay mom)" you replied
"hey you're getting better at this Language thing," Jack said sitting on the chair beside you
"yeah well, it kinda became something in me already," you said standing up
"Alright everyone, grab your things, let's go to the park!"
"no you can't go," a voice said
"huh?" Jack said looking at the front door
"not with me, that is," Mark said grinning,
"it's been a while (Y/n)"
"yeah it has, where have you been?"
"oh he's been uploading videos again," Jack said scratching his beard
"Indeed I have" but I guess I could take a break" Mark replied as he went back to jack's house to pick his things,
Jack did the same and so did rainbow and petals running upstairs with excitement you sighed, guess you do need some time from it all, you then went upstairs to get prepared
(later)
"picnic cloth, check, sunglasses check, food I don't know" you muttered as you looked through your list of things
Then came a soft, almost soothing voice "hey there (Y/n) you busy?" you jumped, it was Greenshadow
"Please don't do that," you said, "you almost gave me a heart attack, by the way, how's HQ?"
"Yeah, well... you know... the usual, still asking me if you and I are a thing yet"
you suddenly stiffened and blushed
"you alright?" Shadow asked
"Y-yeah, better if we don't mention it" you looked up at Shadow, she started blushing
"Y-yeah, silly me here," she said, her beautiful eyes moving in every direction possible
"H-hey! I didn't ask you to stare!" she blushed
"w-what?! oh sorry!" you replied quickly looking at the list instead dammit (Y/n), you thought quick, change the subject
"s-so, what are you up to lately?"
"Nothing much," she said no longer blushing "you?"
"well, me, the girls, Jack and Mark are going to the park to have a picnic"
"I'm in"
you looked at her, baffled "what?"
"I'll just grab my stuff, later!" she said quickly, jumping off the window, you sighed and look back at your list
"ya goin somewhere?" you jumped again
"gosh, for the last ti- oh" you were facing me except I was upside down and floating in mid-air
"How are you doing that?" you asked, I shrugged
"eh a draft, I guess" then I stopped floating and landed on my feet "so, a picnic you say? at the park?"
"yeah" you replied making sure you had everything "you're coming?"
"Nah, I've got art to do, besides, looks more like a date than anything, I wouldn't wanna ruin a moment ya know?" before you could reply I disappeared in a puff of snow
"d-date?! what!? no way! that is ridiculous!" but you just kept thinking about it,
soon you were blushing a deep red "oh great" you said to yourself
"now I can't get it out of my head" then you thought 'i wonder what will Greenshadow wear'
after which you shook your head three times and blushed some more
'damn it, c'mon (Y/n) focus' well... kinda hard to focus when imagining shadow in a beautiful summer gown anyway
(later)
"c'mon (Y/n), let's go!" petals said pulling impatiently
"Alright, just wait for Mark and Jack"
"I can't wait anymore!" she complained
"I can" rainbow said munching away at a sandwich
"hey! You're not supposed to be eating those!" petals scolded
"oops" rainbow swallowed "sorry"
finally, Mark and Jack came "sorry we're a bit late," Jack said carrying a box of something
"I had to find this s***"
"hey don't swear in front of the kids," Mark said shoving Jack
"oops My bad, anyways, let's head on?"
"yeah let's go!" Mark said
"come along girls," you said as you carried the picnic basket
"have fun Anak" your mom waved smiling
"we will mom" you smiled back, then you set off
(even more Lateroratanus Waitlantis P.s. I'm getting tired of saying later)
"Finally!" petals shouted as you reached the park "why don't you two go play while we set everything up?" Mark said, Chica, pulling on the leash
"c'mon Chica! let's go, girl!" Mark said running ahead, Chica bounding after him
"hey wait for us!" Rainbow said running after The YouTuber and his dog
"hey wait up!" petals said chasing behind them
"Alright, I see a good spot over there," you said, pointing at a little hill with a tree, "let's go there and set up the food... jack?"
You looked around but jack was nowhere to be found, "huh, that's strange," you said, "I swore he was just here-"
"INCOMING!!!" a familiar voice shouted, you groaned and turned around, sure enough, it was jack, on a grocery cart speeding down the road "I'm... gonna... Puke!" Jack screams as he zooms towards you in unbelievable... well... speed
Thankfully, you dodged it and jack went straight into the park, luckily he wasn't hurt, he didn't even fall off the cart, he was laughing
"hey watch it" a man shouted
"Sorry!" you apologized
'has he gone insane?!' you thought as you ran over to him
"hey are you all right?" you asked
"I'm fine, actually, feeling even better!" he said jumping out of the cart "so, where are the others?"
"out in the field," you said, then you sighed "are you out of your mind? You could've hurt someone"
"oh relax, have you ever played happy wheels?"
"no, I-"
"The most important rule is that Speed is key whenever traversing large amounts of dumbgrasses All the way to victory town," he said trying to sound wise
"I don't get it," you said both confused and amused by what your little Irish buddy just said
"Anyway, let's set the picnic," you said walking up to the tree
"wait up!" he said grabbing that box from before from the cart
"what is in that box anyway?" you asked
"oh this?" jack said holding up the box, "just a little something I brought just for the occasion" he grinned
"yeah sure," you said, still pretty suspicious about the box.
Finally, you set up the picnic and prepared the food, jack decided to climb up the tree, you were about to protest when someone called out your name, you looked at the direction of the speaker.
Sure enough, it was Greenshadow, she was wearing her classic shades, and a black summer hat
'whoa' you thought looking at her as she walked closer,
"Good afternoon darlings," she said in that accent
"again where did you get that accent?" you asked
She laughed "and again I tell you, from a rose friend of mine"
"hey there Shadow" jack said holding his box
"What is that?"
"oh, this?"
"I've been asking him about that for the past 12 minutes," you said sarcastically
"well, shush, and I'll tell ya in a minute," he said opening the box, "behold! The PortaCookanythingyouwant Grill, or P.C.A.Y.W. Grill for short"
"how bout calling it J.A.G.?" you suggested
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Just A Grill, c'mon, whats it even does"
Jack looked at you as if you just tried to add Ketchup to sushi "it has a grill, Cooler storage, An entire garnish storage, three extra grills, an oven, and a Meat storage, but the most important thing of all" he said revealing everything he just mentioned
"it has Wheels"
"HOW DID YOU EVEN FIT ALL OF THAT IN ONE MEASLY BOX?!" you exclaimed
"oh I bought it off ImSoCrazy.com, and trust me, their products are a lot crazier than this"
"heh, good ol crazy Dave," Green shadow said, then she turned to you "so what's cookin?"
"well, nothing yet, but I did pack some of mom's sandwiches"
Without hesitation she reached into the basket and took a sandwich, she bit into it and exclaimed "this is so good!" she said, "where did your mom learn to do this?"
"well, she is Filipino," you said "maybe it's one of her delicacies"
"let me try," Jack said grabbing a sandwich and taking a bite "Exciting flavor."
"shouldn't you be setting up the grill?" you asked
"oh right" Jack replied as he stood up and began turning it on
"you know, you should invite me out more often," Greenshadow said taking another bite
"w-well, sure... if you want to" you stammered, she giggled, which to you, sounded cute "I will definitely want to" she replied winking at you, you felt your face getting red, you looked away and tried to make it not so obvious, you felt your heart thump loudly on your chest
Jack looked up from grilling "anyone hears drums?"
"wha?" you said in disbelief, just then Mark came running, he seemed to be out of breath "almost there!" he said flopping down on the grass, while Chica and the girls bounded towards the picnic basket
"beat ya!" rainbow said
"no fair!" petals pouted, while rainbow threw herself in a fit of giggles
"Alright, I'm guessing your hungry" Jack said "steak's almost cooked"
"heya taters," I said, "I decided to stop by, how's it going?"
"it's doing well, how ye?" jack asked "I'm making steak, but I have a feeling I won't like it"
"aw don't be like that, It's just happy to meat ya" I joked
"no please don't start" Mark groaned from the grass
"oh, my bad, that was simply a mis-steak" I replied, you could hear Greenshadow laughing so hard
"Sunrise I Swear-"
"oh c'mon, you all know that my puns are always a rare-medium well done"
"kid, I'm warning you" Jack said Almost giggling
"welp, I'm out, gotta go before I get roasted"
"uh, really?" Mark said
Greenshadow just kept laughing "I... can't... hah... stop... hah" she eventually calmed down and the rest of you enjoyed the Picnic.
After all the eating, you played I spy and other outdoor games, after all the tiresome running around you decided to sit down for a bit
"we'll catch ya, Jackie," Petals said chasing after him
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" was all that came out of the Irishman's mouth, apart from the occasional swearing and stumbling
"heh, typical Jack" Greenshadow said beside you making you jump
"seriously? Do you want to give me a heart attack?"
"well, get used to it" she said cheerfully, leaning in closer to you, you looked at her, she was so lively when she was with you and the gang, a lot happier, and cheerful... and less lonely,
You figured that she was just stressed from all the work back at HQ, you felt sorry for her, sure she may have friends, but none of them truly understood her loss more than you, her eyes seemed to be filled with joy, and comfort around you, maybe you were-
"if your just gonna stare at me, you might as well stop" you heard her grumble
"s-sorry!" you apologized 'darn it (Y/n), why do you do this to yourself'
"Greeny!" you saw Solar dashing towards Greenshadow
"Solar? Why are you here?"
"oh I happen to have a picnic over there with Zack, Matt and (Y/n#2)"
"don't be silly Solar (Y/n) is right here"
"no greeny, I meant the Kid over there, funny, (Y/n) has the same name as (Y/n#2)"
"oh I see," Greenshadow said blushing a little
"anywho, are you and (Y/n) on a Date? Hm?"
"a WHAT!?!?" Greenshadow screamed blushing bright red "Totally not, no we're just friends, y'know, friend stuff, right (Y/n)?"
"wha-oh, yeah totally, totally friend stuff," you said blushing as well
"rrrriiiiiiight.... anyway the Christmas Party at town hall will be grand, are you gonna invite (Y/n) along?"
Greenshadow blushed more and her voice was more like a shy whisper
"w-well, h-he can decide for himself-"
"can the whole gang get invited?" Jack asked
You jumped "jack! Where did you come from?"
"Nevermind that, are we invited?"
"basically everyone is invited," Solar said, then she heard Zack call her over "oh, that's the boys, I'll see you at the party Greeny!"
You sighed and looked at the sky, you can still remember the first Christmas you spent together, hilarious, oh how time has passed, it's now been a year every since you were friends with a super plant, you even have a crush on her
And yet you could never express your feelings, maybe this year will be different, who knows? We'll just have to wait and see
Okay dokey, I'm done here, seems like nothing absurd will happen next chapters right? Am I right? or am I left? probably backward, or up somewhere, at least I'm not likely sticking to one direction
I'm now "bone" tired of writing this, and that not even "Humerus" I've literally been working myself down to the "bone" heh Sans...
and advance merry Christmas, hope yall don't get "snowdin" your houses, "Snow" way people would go outside anyway
