We rode home with out fingers laced together as she hummed quietly to herself. The silence was comforting since I had so much on my mind. What happens now? Jakes going to either ignore this whole thing or tell everyone who has ears, but I doubt it'll be the latter. Lauren knows something that will ruin him, and even though he hasn't got two brain cells to rub together he knows when he's in hot water. He suspected Lauren and l's relationship ten times more now since she defended me and the fact we're both going to be missing the rest of the school day will just confirm his believes. I hope the secret the three of us know is enough to keep his mouth closed. Who knows? If I played him right he could be beard of sorts to cover up my tracks. I sighed and snuggled further into her back. I really hated hiding this from everyone. I knew this was only the beginning but I was already fatigued. Something as beautiful as this shouldn't have to be hidden, am I right? I should be able to hold my girlfriends hand in the corridor, I mean is it a sin?
Wait. Girlfriend..what are we? I know we're in love and I often dangerously thinking about about a life with this girl, but we never confirmed what where our relationship stands. I obviously have given her a 'chance' as she begged for so many times before, but like were we dating? Were we together? Is she mine?
That thought brings a smile to my face. Having Lauren as mine seems like something is die for. I want all of her. I want lazy days while we stay in bed, I want endless Christmases and birthdays with her. I want holidays and moving into together. I want pillow talk in the morning and deep talks at night. I want snow and sunshine, fights and make-ups, family meals and falling asleep with her. I want it all, everyday for as long as I can get it.
We finally arrived at her house and she hoped off the motorbike then she helped me off afterwards. She took her hand and pulled my closer by my waist. I bit my lip and looked her in her green eyes while she smirked. She started to sway is so we were dancing. She lifted one of our hands up, singling for me to spin. I did so and when I came back to face her she held my waist and dipped me down. I trusted her with all my weight and she held me with a secure arm, all the while we kept fierce eye contact.
With me still dipped down, she kissed my neck and whispered "I love you, and I'll never let anyone hurt you again."
She lifted us back up into a standing position and smiled.
"You're my hero, you know that?" I said and her face was covered in a huge grin. She then puffed out her chest and said "well it's all in a days work m'am" in a deep voice and loud laugh burst out of me. She smiled in satisfaction and grabbed my hand, leading me into her little house.
"Okay babe I don't know about you but I am starving. So we going to haaave..." She started while she swung open the fridge.
"Beans on toast, eggs on toast or Nutella on toast?" she questioned and I couldn't help but giggle. How she's survived this long on her own baffles me. It's not like she can't cook food she'd just too lazy to go out and buy it. I walked over to her and slid my arms around her neck as her hands went to my waist.
"Hmm eggs on toast sounds cute but I think we both know neither of us are going to pass up Nutella," I said and she chuckled and pulled my closer to her.
"Well we could always order you know, but it'll have to be quick because I've got a surprise for you in a bit" she said and I raised my eyebrows in surprise.
"Really? Oh wait you told me about it didnt you? Are you sure? I feel I should be the one surprising you, my little body guard" I said and she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Well no ones allowed to lay a finger on you since you're all mine. I'm still so angry at him, what a complete dick. I'm glad I saved you from that train wreak babe because he was a gasket waiting to blow" she sassed out and I kissed her nose at her cuteness. "You'll never know how happy I am you found me baby" I say and she pulls me in and hugs me tight. She kisses my shoulder a few times and I continue by whispering in her ear "and can I just say, the way you got all defensive and tough was so hot" and then I bit her ear lobe. I hear her hum with curiosity and a slight hint of smugness and I could see where this was going.
"Really?" She questions in a flirty tone as I slowly push her back so her hips are trapped between mine and the counter of the kitchen.
"Of course baby. The way you got all worked up and rough like that made me want to kiss you so hard there right in front of jake. You looked so sexy when you got all mad" I said while I trailed kisses down her jawbone. She quietly moaned and I pulled her closer to me. "And that black eye is so badass, when you act all tough it turns me on so much" I mumbled before finding her pulse point and sucking hard. She leaned her head back to give me better access and I mustered up the courage to lift up her legs, causing her to slide onto the counter and wrap her legs around my waist. I brought my hands from her legs up her thighs and to her hips, as hers ran through my hair. I finally kissed her and she instantly kissed back. I melted as her lips met mine and as always, it felt like the first time we kissed. Butterflies erupted in me and electricity pulses from my toes to my finger tips. I slowly trailed my hands under her shirt as she tugged softly on my hair. We both tilted our heads in attempt to deepen the kiss and her tongue met mine and I let a deep moan slip. The vibrations of the moan caused her to tighten her legs around my waist.
I started to rub her sides while she messaged my scalp, then I bravely ran my hand up her torso under her shirt and came into contact with the underwire of her bra. My senses were on overdrive and I knew I had to do this before I exploded. I ran my fingers under her bra to come into contact with the soft flesh that lay underneath. The moan I got in response told me I was going in the right direction. I squeeze it softly and i kissed her harder. I pulled back from the kiss and quickly trailed my lips down her jaw, her neck and then I pulled back her shirt to expose her collar bone which I sucked on intently.
I brought my hand around to the clasp of her bra and stopped what I was doing when she said something.
"What baby?" I said as I looked at her. She looked down at me with swollen lips and a smirk and I swear I've never seen anything sexier.
"I said did you not hear your tummy grumbling my love?" She smiled and I looked at the floor and blushed. I was so caught up in her that I didn't hear the huge rumble of my stomach.
"Oh em-eh no I guess I didn't" I mumbled while she chuckled softly. She pulled my close to her and I snuggled my head into the crook of her neck. She ran her hand through my hair and kisses my forehead twice before wrapping her arms around me.
"I got to feed my girl, c'mon" she said after a small comfy silence. She hoped off the counter top and we quickly made some food and ate it even quicker. I was really excited to see what she had in store for me. To be honest it could be something as simple as a kiss and id be happy.
She lead us out to the lake that sat beside the shed and it turns out she had a cute little row boat. She had a bag pack on her back and I was a bit suspicious of her actions, but when I questioned her she smirked and told me to trust her. She rowed the little boat until we were traveling towards a blanket of vines that hung from the trees.
"Lauren what are you doing? We're going to get caught in the vines," I squealed as she picked up the pace of her rowing. "Lauren!" I shouted and she threw her head back with laughter as the tip of the boat came into contact with the sheet of vines, separating them, making an opening for us to travel through. What I saw then was nothing I imagined.
Trees grew from the lakes bed in the water, and a blanket of leaves and branches overcast the whole sky forming a dome like inclosement.
Lily pads floated in dozens on the surface of the water and flowers of all colours and types grew from the branches of the high trees.
"Lauren..." I breathed out as she continued to row the boat. She gave me a lob sided smile and I nearly melted.
She rowed us until we came to the bank of the lake. She pulls the boat up onto the shore and helped me out. She took my hand and lead us into a forest. We walked for about 5 minutes until we came to a clearing.
"Lauren how did you even find this?" I breathed out as I stared at her in awe. She smirked and kissed my forehead softly.
"I guess I got lonely before I found you. I used to be one my own for most of my day since Claire would be working or something like that. Anyway I suppose my curiosity got the better of me and I stumbled upon this one day" she says while she pulls off her bag back.
I watch her as she takes out handfuls and handfuls of fireworks and sparklers. I laughed at the silliness of the position I was in and how damn cute she was.
"Lauren I swear you're one of a kind" I tell her as she plants the fireworks in the ground, ready for them to be set off. "And that's why you love me yeah babe?" She says as her attention was on a rather big firework she was setting up.
"Yes Lauren, one of the many reasons I unconditionally love you" I say sincerely. She stops what she was doing and gave me a cute little smile which I returned.
She finally finished setting up the fireworks and she handed me sparklers which she has already lit. The sun was setting and the sky already had a pinky glow, but the light was scarce. As fast as she could, Lauren lit all the fireworks, turned around and picked me up by the waist and ran with me slung over her shoulder while I squealed with excitement.
We finally got far away enough and she set me down in front of her, she spun me around to face the fireworks as she snaked her arms around my waist and put her chin on my shoulder. It was silent and I held my breath until all at once millions of sparks flew from the fireworks and into the sky. Red, blues, greens and yellows exploded in the sky with bangs and sizzles and I was in awe of the show on display. Whirls of colour and sparks lit the air in the most amazing way, and I felt my heart sore in my chest. In that moment, I was wholeheartedly content with my life and I never wanted it to end.
"Camz," Lauren muttered into my ear which sent a shiver down my spine.
"Yes my love?" I replied while I laced our fingers together.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" She whispered with uncertainty. Why was she nervous? Did she honestly think I could ever say no to her?
"Lauren-" I started as I turned in her arms to face her. The fireworks lit up her face with colors and made her eyes sparkle in a way that made my chest swell.
"I'll be yours forever, if you'll let me," I finished softy.
Her nervous face was taken over by a huge smile as she nodded eagerly. "Yes please, I'd really love that," she whispered and kissed my nose softly.
