As I got in my car to drive home, I noticed a girl walking on the side of the street, wearing a denim jacket with a hoodie and of course those damn boots again. What was she doing walking home? And in the rain? I pulled up beside her and she looked up to see me, doing a double take and a flash of surprise covered her face.
"Camila, hi," she said while running her hand through her wet hair. God she was adorable.
"Laur what are you doing?! It's raining! get into the car quickly c'mon you'll catch a cold!" I half yelled and she looked down the road and spoke again.
"Yenno what it's fine I didn't bring my bike this morning, it's my fault. It's not too far and I don't want to get your car wet so ill just eh-yeah," she said with a lopsided smile that made my heart melt.
"Lauren please get in the car, babe you're going to kill yourself," I said not noticing the pet name spilled out until I finished speaking. She smirked but it didn't look half as fierce since she looked like a little soaked kitten, she eventually got into the seat beside me.
"Thank you" she said softly and she smiled warmly at me causing my stomach to scream. She took my hand and kissed it twice causing me to blush and look down.
"You're adorable when you blush, Camz," she whispered. I looked at her; she had a serious face on but her eyes told me differently. They shone with complete adoration I felt I might burst. I couldn't take it anymore; the way she looked at me, how cute her nose was since it was all red from the cold, the way she held my hand and her damn smell filled up my body with electricity. I brought my hands behind her neck, leaning over and capturing her lips with mine. She was stunned for a moment before kissing me back with passion, and all I can say is we got a little too carried away. After a while I found myself in her lap sucking her neck while she whispered sweet nothing's in my ear and ran her hands threw my hair, I was in complete bliss. It wasn't as rushed now as it started off but by no means less passionate and I felt the air thickening. I started to grind my hips down on hers and she moaned my name out while dragging her nails down my back. I quickly moved back up to her lips and our tongues met making me feel dizzy and on fire at the same time. The pace was lazy and I thought that I could die happy now I've experienced such an amazing thing as Lauren Jauregui.
We needed air so we broke apart. As always my forehead rested on hers and I whispered a little "hello" to which she replied "hey you" with a giggle.
"Em..I didn't really mean for that to happen," I said quietly and she bit her lip and tired not to smile.
"You're eyes are my favourite things you know?" My heart skipped a beat and a thought popped into my head; forever with Lauren Jauregui doesn't sound all that bad at all. But I quickly pushed it out of my mind. How long had I known her? Two weeks? Three? And I'm having stupid thoughts like this. I've never thought anything of that nature in relation to Jake, but I suppose I've never felt this was about him, or anyone for that matter.
I snapped back to reality and pushed some of the wet hair out of her face. "C'mon Romeo lets get you home and dried off" I said before pecking her lips once, twice, three times before returning to my seat and starting the car again.
"Favourite colour?" She asked as soon as I pulled out of park. "What's that babe?" I replied with half my attention on the road.
"What's your favourite colour?" She smirked and I could hear the smile in her voice.
"Green," I replied without thinking.
"You know that's the preferred colour of most intelligent people," she said and I turned to look at her while we were at a traffic light.
"Well I only like it because I certain girl in my maths class has the best damn eyes I've ever seen, and they just so happen to be green," I smirk and she throws her head back laughing and plays along.
"Is she a threat to me honey? You know if anyone was to try take away my girl I'd have to get my pistol out and it's awfully heavy you know" she pouts and I laugh before retorting. "of course dear, why when that burglar broke into the house last year you had to drag it down the stairs after him!" I said in a high pitched voice causing her to giggle. "No man ever gunna set foot on our land and get away with it" she says in a southern accent and I lost it, I held my sides laughing while she stared at me with her smirk fixed on her face.
The rest of the car ride was filled with giggles just like that until we pulled up in front of my house.
I was a bit nervous to bring her here, I mean I don't want her to jump to conclusions on the assumption that this lifestyle I live is something that reflects my personality. I know I can be a bitch but it's all just a front I put up. I was raised this way, in a huge house with parents who don't even know me. I know she's different and she's seeing through my mask to the real me but it's hard not to be conscious of it.
"All that brick and cement and I bet you haven't got one decent hide and seek spots," she says before sneezing. Oh my god, she's sick from the rain. I quickly get out of the car and run around to her side, open the door and usher her into the porch where we're sheltered from the rain. I open the door while she sniffles and lead her inside. I flick on the heating and quickly lead her up the stairs, into my room and then my bathroom. She sneezed again and I ran to get her some fluffy towels from the closet. I came back in and handed them to her.
"Lo baby you're sick ok, you have to hop in the shower and get all that rain water off you. Ill leave clothes out in my room and when you're finished will you come down and find me?" I said she she smiled back and nodded. Her hair was messy and all her makeup had worn off. She had a red nose and I had never seem anything more beautiful. I kissed her cheek and nose softly and left her to shower.
I ran downstairs to the kitchen to make her something to eat, but I stopped mid stride; I don't know how to cook. I just settled for second best and ordered a pizza since it was what I was going to do anyway. I then ran upstairs and got out a baggy tshirt I wore to bed and some sweatpants and laid them out on the bed, and went back downstairs again and got pillows and cushions from the spare guest room and put them on the couch. I also got head ache tablets and tried to pick out a movie.
I heard a giggle and I turn around to see Lauren in my sweats, hair tied up, no make up and that instant I knew that she was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. This is my favourite version of Lauren; don't get me wrong I love the hard looking biker Lauren who acts all dark and mysterious but this Lauren is irresistible. Her green eyes look deeper than ever and her frame looked drowned in the oversized tshirt.
"Hello there" she hummed out and walked over to me. She wrapped her arms around my waist and placed soft kisses on my shoulder causing me to smile.
"So what's it going to be Lo; 500 days of summer or bridge to terabithia?" I said and she hummed against the skin of my shoulder.
"Bridge to Terabithia for sure" she mumbles and I quickly put the DVD into the player and press play. The minute I'm finished she picks me up by my waist and carries me over to the sofa and pulls me down so I've got my legs tangled with hers and we're both completely surrounded by duvets. She lets out a little giggle and I can't help but kiss her quickly. I then hand her the medicine which she takes.
I hear the doorbell ring once she's finished and I run to the door to answer it.
"Hey that'll be $12.5-oh hey Mila!" Austin says a little too excitedly as he balances the pizza I ordered in his hands. "Hi Austin, Im a bit rushed so eh-how much was it again" I say while pulling out a $20 bill from my pocket. "Here look just take it and keep the change, pay back for letting me use the umbrella" I say and he snaps out of his gawking of my face to take the money and hands over the pizza. "Thanks Mila but I was wondering if instead of a tip maybe we could go get dinner sometime? Or we don't even have to we could like-"
"Camz baby come back to me I wana cuddle," Lauren shouts from the living room.
"Shit," I say under my breath. "Sorry Austin maybe later uh I em-I have to go I'll see you tomorrow," and with that I slammed the door in his face. Thank God Lauren doesn't speak in school or else he would know who it was. I can just pass it off as one of my friends who was PMSing if anyone dared questioning me tomorrow.
I returned to the kitchen and stopped when I took in the sight before me. Lauren was curled up on the couch smothered in blankets and pillows while all her attention was focused on the TV screen; I had never seen anything cuter in my life.
"Oh you're back!" She says when she sees me and pats the empty space beside her. I quickly scurry onto her lap and open the pizza.
Normally I wouldn't look away from the pizza even if you had set of explosives in the same room but at the moment all I could do was stare at her face as it lite up at the sight of food.
She obviously felt my gaze as she turned her head to face me. Her eyes scanned my face quickly before dropping to my lips and back to my eyes.
"You ok baby?" She says in a soft tone that seems to make me go weak every time.
"Yeah Laur, just happy," I replied and her face lite up again. I could defiantly get used to this.
