This path was even more arduous than going to school, and the pressure to not slack off was even greater than before. He couldn't afford to fail. His situation didn't get better until he was 30 years old. At that time, his career was stable, and then... he met Ruan Xia. Soon after, they got married and had Little Wang.
Technically, he truly wasn't good at romantic relationships. If love was a game, he would be the most rookie player in the starting zone.
Assistant Chen hadn't expected that his boss would be interested in his relationship. He somewhat awkwardly touched his nose. "Actually, my girlfriend and I met on a blind date."
"Blind date?" Song Tingshen had heard about this, but he hadn't experienced it himself.
"That's really old-fashioned right... I wasn't interested in a relationship at first, but my parents were too anxious and arranged a few blind dates for me." There was a glow of happiness in Assistant Chen's eyes when he talked about his girlfriend. "She's not the type that I like, and I wasn't interested in her when we first met. But I couldn't withstand my parents bugging me, so I forced myself to go on a few more dates with her. Once I slowly got to know her better after spending more time with her and talking with her, I came to like her."
Song Tingshen smiled. "Can you like someone later if you didn't like her at the start?"
Assistant Chen nodded. His chatterbox side had been successfully opened, and he was more talkative than usual. "There's not that many people that fall in love at first sight. A lot of people don't fall in love until they get to know the other person." He paused and ventured to ask, "You and your wife probably fell in love at first sight, right?"
Song Tingshen froze in surprise for a moment. He shook his head. "No."
"So it was love that developed over time then." Assistant Chen had an expression of admiration.
Song Tingshen didn't like sharing details of his private affairs to others, especially when it was related to Ruan Xia. Thus, he didn't refute Assistant Chen's assumption.
During the past few days, he had been contemplating about his relationship with Ruan Xia. In the past, he thought it was desirable to have a marriage where neither party interfered with the other's life. But as Little Wang grew up, he thought it was necessary to change his strategy.
Assistant Chen's words had alerted him to the fact that he didn't dislike Ruan Xia. Presumably, Ruan Xia didn't dislike him either.
