SOPHIA'S POV
It has been two days since I started working at this mansion slash castle
And I must say things are going really great despite the fact that I was sold and am working for no wages at the end of the month
But......
I have a place to sleep
I get food to eat
I haven't even gotten to the best part
I have Marie
Marie and I have grown really close these few days she's like a sister I never had.
Am in the bathroom brushing my teeth and preparing myself for work
The mansion is really big and it needs all the maids present to keep everything in check
The people living there are also very many like a hundred or so.
And most of them are men in black suits and shades just like the ones that came for me at home
When I say the mansion is more of a palace am not exaggerating
The mansion has like 20 living rooms
I stopped counting at 6
It has a very large and fancy looking dining area with a table fitted with many chairs that look like kings' thrones
The kitchen is magnificent
It has everything starting from electric appliances to a gigantic pantry full of food that could feed a whole village for a month
We were shown the inside of one of the many rooms that we were required to clean and tidy up
And guess what?
It had a jacuzzi
It had a JACUZZI!
I had not seen a jacuzzi in my life
And there I was being told that most of the rooms had jacuzzis
Rich people amaze me
The mansion has a club
Yes.......club
I was surprised too when I saw it
Like why have a club in your home?
How richer could these people get?
Actually
It's one person not many
I was told that all the wealth belongs to Don Cristian and him alone.....he must be one wealthy old man
Every hallway and room in the mansion has paintings hanging on its walls
We got a peak of the gym too
It had all the gym equipments needed for training
Treadmills, exercise bike, weights, punching bags etc
I also saw a boxing ring
We moved to the outside of the mansion
Where I was greeted by the site of a beautiful garden
It looked like heaven
It had many fruit trees
Oranges
Appel
Lemons
Strawberries
Blueberries and
Peaches
Name them
The garden also had pretty flowers like daisies and roses both white and red
I wanted to pluck some flowers and put on my hair but I was scared of the owners
Maybe they don't appreciate such behaviors
We also saw swimming pools
Not pool
I said pools
Does everything in this mansion have to be extra large
Jeez
I stepped out of the bathroom in my black maids dress
My hair was held in a semi-messy bun
Sometimes it's just hard work taming my long curls
Today I was feeling extra uncomfortable in this short dress because I was one of the maids in kitchen duty
This is where we cook and serve food to our superiors
This means am going to met with many people unlike the other two days where I was working in laundry duty
The only people I got to meet when I was there were mostly my fellow maids and just a handful of men who as usual looked at me like I was a piece of candy
Am going to serve food to alot of people most of them being men
I didn't want them thinking am a slut or whore
"Marie is this dress ok?" I shyly asked
"Ooh yes babe you always look hot in it" she said giving me a thumbs up
That's not what I wanted to hear
"But I don't want to look hot what if our superiors think am trying to expose myself" I quickly shot back
"You're the first girl I have met that doesn't want to be told she's hot" Marie chuckled
"Anyways we will go talk to Matilda about your dress
She's our head maid she'll help you"
I just hope Matilda was going to give me another dress
I already had it with Serah
She refused to give me a dress my size even after Marie begged her
Serah simply said there was no dress that was going to fit me
She also rudely added that I should try to eat less and lose some few pounds and maybe then the dresses might fit me.
Marie almost punched her for saying such a rude thing to me
"Don't worry babe Matilda is nothing like Serah, she's a good woman and she'll listen to our problem"
I nodded and gave Marie a small smile
I think my friend is mind reading vampire how did she know I was thinking that?
"Stop thinking so much let's go now
We don't want you to be late on your first day in the kitchen"
she added while striding towards the the door and I followed her out
I hope everything goes fine today
My fingers are crossed

When I entered the kitchen I couldn't help but stare
It's not that I haven't been here before
This is my second time in this kitchen actually but everything seems new
It's big, magnificent, fancy, white and rich looking
Have always loved the kitchen
I love cooking
"Hi Matilda" Marie waved to an elderly looking woman with almost white hair tied in a nice bun
Her maids uniform was different from ours
"It's good morning young young lady not Hiiiiiiii" the woman said to Marie jokingly while sipping something from a cup in her hands
Am guessing it's coffee
"And who is this little beauty" the woman asked looking at me
"She's my roommate" Marie smiled
"You're very beautiful dear" the nice woman said and I blushed like crazy
I felt shy at the same time
I don't know why I usually get that feeling when someone compliments me.
I guess it's because am not used to getting compliments
"T-thank you" I said looking at my shoes
"My name is Matilda what's yours dear?" The woman asked with a smile
"Nice to meet you madam Matilda am Sophia" I said smiling
"No need to call me madam dear
Matilda is fine you know"
I can't call her by her first name alone
That's just plain rude
She's old enough to be my grandma if she had my mom at an early age
"I can't call you by your name madam Matilda you're my elder and I need to respect you" I reasoned
"She's not only beautiful but she has morals too"
madam Matilda said playfully pinching my right cheek
"Dang it Sophia
Now look, you make me look like a bad guy because I usually don't use the madam part " Marie said faking a sob and pouting her lower lip
"Enough with your dramas Marie and get to work"
Madam Matilda chuckled
"We got mouths to feed"
"Okey madam Matilda, see you later Sophia"
Marie said before walking out of the kitchen she has a different duty from mine today
"Let's go cook dear, you can cook right?" Madam Matilda worriedly asked
"Yes madam am actually good at it"
"Nice... I like girls like you"
She complimented me again
As usual, just like the sun rises from east in the morning
I blushed
"And dear, please help yourself to the coffee it's not easy making breakfast at 6 in the morning for almost 100 people with a head full of sleep"
I actually don't like coffee
But I didn't want to say no to Madam Matilda
"Sure I'll drink some" I said with a smile
" Good.......So do you know how to knead?"
I nodded my head
"Very well knead this flour for me
I prefer when it's done by hand than machine"
"O-okey" I replied
"Get to work girls we have alot of work to do" Madam Matilda said clapping her hands trying to get the other maids attention
"Breakfast is served at 8 sharp time is money people"
I wanted to tell madam Matilda about my dress but I was scared
She's nice
My inner self reasoned
True........let me try my luck
"Uuummh- madam Matilda I want to ask you a favour"
You just met the lady Sophia and you're already asking her for favours what a cheap move
But I can't walk around with a slutty dress infact it's suffocating me
It's too tight
"Yes go on dear" she looked at me with a kind face
"C-could y-you p-please consider g-giving me a-a bigger dress this one is too short" I said embarrassed
Why was I embarrassed?
I don't know
"Of course dear I'll talk to Victoria about your dress am sure she'll give you a new one. Did you meet Victoria on your first day at work?"
I nodded my head
"Why didn't you speak to her about this dear? You've been wearing this uncomfortable dress for two days now yes?
Victoria is a second head maid and one of her duty is to listen to you people"
"I-its just t-that I was scared to ask h-her I thought she was going to get mad at me"
"Nobody will get mad at you Sophia it's good to express yourself"
That's the problem
I can't express myself because am scared of the consequences that came with it
I remember back at home
When I tried to express my feelings to my aunt, she could beat me, slap me, starve me
she could do all that to stop me from complaining
That's why am scared of saying what I feel sometimes
"We'll get you a nice dress dear" madam Matilda assured me
"Thank you" I happily said
