"Ay human. Wake up,"
"HUUMAN !" my wolf screams in my head and I push him away before opening my eyes.
The sun rays peeked from the curtains and fell on my chest, where my beautiful mate is still sleeping.
I look at her bare light freckled face. Her white hair swayed lightly by my breathing and memories of last night flashed up my mind.
Her big canines and claws ripped off a rogue's head. Her being a royal wolf with the scent of a human, a weird human.
I won't lie but I was hurt at the fact that she didn't trust us enough to tell us about her real identity.
I push her hair from her face and her eyebrows furrow. She slowly opens her eyes and blinks twice, finally looking up at my face.
Her shiny white eyes glowed at me and her pupils dilated. I couldn't help but chuckle softly at how she looks at me.
"Good morning, " she smiles and takes a long breath. "You smell good."
I cock a brow up and ask, "Don't I always?"
"Mhm, " she kisses my neck, burying her face in causing me to shiver.
"Alpha, " Finn mind links, interrupting me. "The council members will be arriving in an hour."
"Okay, " I replied and cut off the link.
Isis sits up and rubs her head as I sit up too.
"The knife had wolfsbane in it, " she says looking at me and I nod.
She sighs looking down her hand then faces me, "I-I'm sorry."
"You could've trusted me. Do you not trust me?" I ask trying to hide the fact that I was hurt.
"I thought you'd reject me, " she mumbles looking down at her hands. "I thought you'd leave me like me like everyone else. Everyone that I could've called my family died. Everyone I cared for left me."
She was slowly opening up to me.
"I would never leave you, love, " I say and pull her face gently to face mine. "I will never reject you."
"Nobody would want me. The things that come with me are horrible, " her eyes soften as she speaks. "I'm a curse to everyone that loves me. Numerous enemies want me, some want to kill me, and even those pureblood bloodsuckers. They will kill you Atlas, all of you if you take me as your Luna."
I growl as I put her in my lap and pull her closer to my chest. No one will take her away from me. I will protect her with everything I have.
"The moon Goddess made us mates for a reason so who am I to deny this sacred bond?" I pause. "I will stand by your side and protect you as a shield. I will fight for you till my last drop of blood and so will my pack. I, Atlas Hephaestus, give my word to you."
She pulls away and looks at me. A stray tear slides from her eye and she pulls me roughly into a kiss.
This kiss felt different. It had plenty of emotions swirling in it and one of them was surely love.
She pulls away and presses our foreheads together. Her eyes glow translucent white as a silver crescent moon appears on her head.
I look at her in amazement and let my golden moon appear too.
"See, we were made for each other, " I grin and she traces her hand over my moon.
"I think my mood won't burn you either, " she says as her fingers keep touching my moon.
I felt my eyes glow as I traced her moon. It was smooth and glassy. It shone like the moon itself.
"It doesn't, " I smile.
"Sebastian is singing in my head " she groans and I let out a chuckle.
I kiss her head and make my way towards to shower.
After the shower, I change into a black shirt and white pants. I check my phone and 30 minutes still left for the council to reach.
I quickly get out and catch Isis lying on her face on the bed with no sheets on. I couldn't help but check out her smooth legs.
"Stop staring at me, " she murmurs into the pillow and I chuckle.
"Get up, take a shower. The councils will come in half an hour, I think, " I say.
She again murmurs something into the pillow that I couldn't make up.
"Old people in young bodies are grumpy, you don't wanna be late. Kinda like your Gamma, Colt, " I say devilishly.
"Hey, that's offensive!" she quickly raises her head. "I'm old, I'm not grumpy."
"What?" I turn to her. She looked like she realized something in her mind and rubbed the back of her neck smiling sheepishly.
"About that… uh so you remember what Nicole said before I passed out?" she asks.
I nod and she continues, " King Nicholas and Luna Athena were the last Alpha and Luna of the Midnight Silver Pack. So their two children survived and ruled their pack, away from the world. The son was crowned as the King, King Horus Apollo, but the daughter didn't crown herself as the Queen."
She pauses, biting her upper lip down, "And her name was Princess Isis Silver Apollo." And with that, she shows the princess courtesy by standing up.
My eyes widen in realization and I suck my breath in.
"How old are you!" I ask quicker than I intended to. I quickly clear my throat and rephrase the sentence, "I mean I know royals had longer lives but I didn't expect you to be that old."
She lets out a chuckle before saying, "It's okay, but it's not that. I don't have a longer life, I'm just immortal. My mother was one of the original witches. So an Alpha royal father and original witch got me and Horus to be immoral with human scent."
"Oh, that explains a lot, " I smile processing information in me. "But you heal like a vampire and silver in your heart doesn't work. "
"A royals blood is laced with silver, so you're pretty much immune to it. And about the killing part, it's kinda hard killing me, and trust me I tried it myself," she mumbles the last line fast but I scowl at her.
"What!" I exclaim. "Why the fuck would you want to kill yourself? I could've died along with you too."
"I was depressed at a time in my life, Atlas. After Horus's death and the fall of the royals, I had no one with me. Except for Liam and Nicole though but it was hard to locate them, phones didn't exist that time " she sighs. "But hey, I got you now and that was like four or five centuries ago. "
"You're what a millennium-year-old now?" I ask, sighing with sarcasm.
"No! I'm like 711 years old," she chuckles and I look at her with a plain face.
"My sarcasm turned true, " I sigh again.
"Alpha, where are you? They have entered the territory, " Finn says from the back of my mind.
"Oh fuck, go shower they are here, " I groan as Isis nods and goes into the shower.
I get down the top wing and walk towards the gate. Finn is nowhere to be found but my eyes land on Sebastian, who's currently sitting with Colt and Nicole.
I walk towards them and Sebastian turns at me.
"Sup bro, " he smirks.
"Alpha Atlas, " Colt says and I nod at him.
"How's Isis?" Nicole asks when I turn to her.
"Yeah, she seems fine now. I would like to thank the three of you for yesterday. Ellen informed me things would've been a lot messier if it wasn't for you all, " I sincerely say as they stand up.
"It's our responsibility to protect our king and his pack, " Colt says.
"King?" I ask not knowing what he meant.
"They've arrived, " Finn mind links and I make my way out shortly.
Two black cars pull up in front of our gates as I stand beside my beta and gammas.
Two guards open the door as a blond man in his mid-40s steps down following with a man another ginger man in his early 40s.
Their powers screamed with power. My pack members around stiffened with them. Ancient beings were all-powerful, although it didn't bother me at all. I guess being the most influential Alpha makes you like that.
Another car pulls up. A familiar dirty blond man and a brunette in her mid-30s steps down.
They approach me and we both bow in respect.
"Alpha Hephaestus," the blond elder says putting his hand forward. "I am Julius Henchmen."
"Welcome to the Golden Claw Pack, " I say taking his hand. Julius is the Elder of the werewolves.
Another hand moves toward me, "Bill Hillary, " the ginger elder greets, I think that's the Elder of the Vampires.
Liam walks towards and puts his hand in front, "Atlas."
I take his hand and greet him, " Liam, the noble vampire."
"Oh, you guys know each other?" the lady beside him asks Liam.
"Yes, he's an acquaintance, " he says and I nod.
"I am Josephine Ophelia, the elder representing the witches you can say, " she smiles warmly at me and I smile back.
"Elders, this is Finn, my beta, Hunter and Ellen my gammas," I introduce. "Finn, take them to the meeting room."
While walking towards the meeting room, I notice Elder Julius looking around as if he was looking for someone. His face lits up as he notices Colt.
"Colt Henderson, " he beams at him and walks towards him. Colt smiles as Elder Julius pulls him in a hug. Elder Josephine gasps and hugs him and I stand in confusion.
"Colt, dear god it's been so long!" Elder Josephine smiles.
"Josephine, ah still that warm spirit, " Colt smiles back. "And Julius man, 350 years passed in a blink."
350 years in a blink? Damn, they're old.
I look on my side and see my mother walking towards us. Shit, I forgot I let her come with Finn during last night's attack.
She stands beside me and puts her hand on my shoulder, "Are you okay?"
I slowly shrugged her hand off and nodded with a smile. I look over at the Elders and Colt talking with them as if they were old friends.
"We can continue this in the meeting room, " I say clearing my throat. The elders nod and follow me to the room.
"Alpha, I apologize on behalf of the council to delay your reports, " Elder Bill says.
"It's alright, " I nod.
"About last night's attack, the rogues and the vampires were unknown, " Elder Julius adds.
"And my dear you know that the black witches aren't under the council, " Elder Josephine curls her lips.
"Black witch?" I ask. I knew that a witch stabbed Isis but I didn't know it was a black witch.
"Yes, the one you killed, " Colt says. "It was our fault. I captured that witch as he was spying on us masking himself with a rogue's scent. Nicole tracked him down but it was too late by then."
"Nicole as in Nicole Adeline?" Josephine asks.
"Yes love, " Nicole says as she and Sebastian enter the room. Josephine squeals as she gets up and hugs her.
"Oh my gosh, how are you?!" Josephine shrieks.
"I'm okay, Joe, " Nicole giggles. "How do you know Colt?"
"Long story Nicole, " Josephine sighs.
"So Alpha, we've heard that your luna protected your pack territory last night, " Elder Julius asks.
"Yes-"
"It can't be, she's a human, " my mother cuts me off. "Humans can't even protect themselves, let alone a pack."
"Mom can you please shut up, " I growl and turn towards the elders. "She's a wolf, she just smells like humans."
"Impossible!" Elder Bill shrieks. "A wolf cannot even mask their scent as humans. The only supernatural that smells like humans is witches."
"It's not impossible Bill, it's just never seen." Elder Josephine mumbles.
The door opens again and the scent of fresh berry and vanilla fills the room. I turn around walking towards and find my mate wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt of mine. I smile at her and kiss her temples.
"This is my mate, Isis Apollo, " I introduced and Isis looked at them tepid.
Elder Julius and Josephine stood up with a weird look at my mate. As if they were in disbelief.
Elder Bill stands up slowly but moves in front of us at his vampire speed.
He takes a whiff and throws a disgusted face. "She's just a human claiming to be a wolf. And a non-taught human too."
Isis looks at him and her eyes glow silver. "Human you were saying, huh?" she pauses. "Do not disrespect humans or me ever again."
Damn, she really did intimidate the Elder.
"Goddess, he's an Elder. Pay him to respect, you foolish girl, " my mom stands up in anger.
"ENOUGH, " I roar at my mom loud enough to everyone flinch at it.
I felt Isis put a hand on my chest. She lifts her head and kisses my jawline. I calmed down slowly and inhaled her scent.
"Should I pay respect to him or he should be the one to me?" Isis says looking dead at my mom's eyes.
"It is really you, my queen!" Elder Julius says and goes on his knees along with Elder Josephine.
"What are you guys doing?!" Elder Bills scolds.
"Oh shut your mouth, Bill. She's a royal wolf. She's Princess Apollo!" Josephine screeches back.
Bill quickly turns at her and widens his eyes, "Oh Lord, my Queen please forgive me for my insolence."
Wow, I didn't know royals were this high.
"How would you? You never attended your history classes, " my wolf whispers and I roll my eyes at him mentally.
"You're excused, please take your seats all of you, " she says and I take her hand moving towards our head seats.
I sit down and she sits on my lap instead of her chair. I mean I don't mind.
"Mate's ass is on us, " my wolf says and I clench my jaws.
"Not now you horny dog, " I say to my wolf mentally.
Suddenly a powerful aura started to radiate off Isis. Everyone flinched and put their heads down except me.
"About 700 years ago, after the birth of the children Royal Alpha King Nicholas and Queen Athena, meaning, me and King Alpha Horus, the royals started to get frequent attacks. It was vampires or hunters mostly. The vampire species were newly created at that time, " she starts.
"The vampires turned humans against us as the wolves and witches were at the top when it came to power. The pureblood vampires always wanted to be the one in control. All they craved was power and a throne.
"The vampires tricked the hunters against us resulting in the first supernatural war to start. The hunters and vampires exterminated all the original witches and the Golden White Royals in that war. A large portion of our pack was slain including my father and my mother.
"That's the usual history of the royals but it isn't true. The royal territory was sealed off the world with the sacrifice of a powerful original witch, Carolina Ophelia. It was sealed from the inside into the woods at the back of this pack's territory."
"All this time your land was inside my territory?" I ask curiously and Isis nods before continuing.
"That is when my brother ruled the pack. It was growing well away from the world. But it was again attacked by someone snitching against it and it led to the fall of the last few royals, " she sighs. "My brother died and I was under Alpha's command by him to run away. I wasn't crowned Queen, that's why I couldn't resist his orders. He was indeed my older brother."
My heart ached with her history. I quickly tug her closer and kiss her cheeks and temples.
"If I may ask, how do you smell like a human?" Bill asks.
"Well my mother, Luna Athena, was an original witch when she mated with my father. Therefore, Horus and I had half-original witch blood. It grants us immortality and human-like scent. " she explains.
Now that explains a lot more. Give your life away than to ever hurt her, note to self.
"How do we believe you that you're not selling shit to us?" my mother, whom I am so ashamed to call, says.
I bang on the table and before I could say Isis whispers in my ears, "Patience Atlas."
"I have no issue to prove myself. You can ask Julius and Josephine, he was the pack warrior and Josephine is the adopted daughter of Witch Carolina, " she asserts.
"Yes, it is true, " Julius says.
"However, " Isis adds. "If I hear any more disrespect, you will face the results."
My mother slightly flinches at her words. I could sense the weight of her power behind it.
Isis stands up from my lap and I and my wolf instantly miss the warmth of our mate.
"As the Alpha and the last royalty, I would like you to announce you all to my royal guardians, that are blessed and sent specifically by the goddess, " Isis says.
Sebastian stands up releasing a new strong aura and glowing light green eyes. "Royal Beta Sebastian Blackwood."
Everybody stands up and bows at him. I couldn't believe that my stupid brother was blessed by the mood goddess herself.
"Royal Gamma Colt Henderson, " she says and Colt stands releasing his aura and glowing forest green eyes.
"And my mate, soon to be your Royal King, Alpha Atlas Hephaestus, " she says and my wolf takes over.
He stands up tugging Isis closer as everyone kneeled with our aura. My aura was changed and started to grow powerful.
My wolf gave me control slowly as I blinked my glowing eyes away.
"King huh?" I whisper to Isis.
"My king, yes, " she replies.
We all eventually sit on our seats and start talking about last night. Apparently, it was one of Isis's foes. They wanted her, which they will never get, but they failed miserably.
But they were able to fuck my pack stuffs up and mess down people's belongings and houses.
"So Alpha about all these wolves, you'll need to be exceptionally fast to fix their houses and your territory gates, " Elder Bill says.
"Yes, I agree with Bill on this one, " Elder Julius says. "Your pack is in a bad place right now. Many packs out there are willing to attack you and they can harm your pack very much."
"There are many members' lives on the line. You'll have to think about your best throughout, " Colt says.
I start to brainstorm about how to protect my pack and then Isis says, "I propose you move into my pack territory."
"What?" I say in confusion.
"Yes, we're mates it is allowed also it's the safest place for everyone and we have everything a pack needs already built inside, " Isis says.
"Yo, they have a giant fort inside and a huge training area along with the silver castle that we read in the books. It's where she LITERALLY lives, " Sebastian says.
"Uh, Luna I don't know if you know this but this pack has almost 3000 members. 2800+ to be precise, " Finn says sheepishly.
"4000 members can live at ease in our territory at the moment, " Colt adds. "It has more land to even expand in the future.
"I'm not talking about a temporary shift, I'm talking about moving permanently. No place on the outside is as safe as my palace right now."
"I think this is a great idea, " Elder Julius says.
Everyone stared at me and I decided the best outcome.
"Fine, we'll move everything in two days. It should be enough since her land is already inside our territory, " I say and Isis grins at me.
