Long Time No See

It seemed Vanilla Ice's movements were almost instinctual as he disappeared in on himself just before the Bubble Cutter could hit.

"Damn it!  I missed!" Shouted Caesar. Thanks to the dust and debris in the room he could see the dimension of darkness heading towards him and he quickly rolled out of the attacks way. Vanilla Ice was fast, though, and still managed to take the majority of the Zeppeli's mechanical left foot.

You helped Caesar up to his one foot as he attempted to adjust to standing on what was only a heel at this point. "Everyone, let's add some more dust to the room. What you've already done has started to settle." Iggy leaped onto your shoulder, thinking you'd be better at dodging than he would be.

"On it, (Y/N)!" Shouted Polnareff as Silver Chariot began to swing around its rapier. The void sphere was now even more apparent than before as it removed all dirt within its path. All of you then remained silent. Moving out of the way when necessary, but staying close enough that you'd be able to strike the moment Vanilla showed himself to get his bearings.

Eventually, it seemed as though the chance had arrived. The void slowing to a stop in around the center of the room. All of you formed a triangle around it, the Stands taking form behind their designated users. Rapier, arm blade, dog car, and a Hamon infused bubble fist were ready to strike. Cream became visible and Vanilla Ice stuck his head out of the mouth to see where everyone was. He was certainly surprised by the ambush of sorts waiting for him.

All of you attacked at once. Vanilla thought quickly and one of Cream's arms pulled you in the way of Nu. Effectively removing the Hamon as Caesar's Stand passed through you and making the bubble punch essentially harmless. Since Iggy had been on your shoulder, he jumped off and had to use his Stand to ensure a safe landing rather than attack. Dio had certainly informed his servants quite well. You weren't entirely sure if Vanilla even knew how dangerous the Ripple would be to him. He hadn't even seemed to realize the transformations his body was going through. The sharpening teeth, the heightened senses, incredible strength. But nevertheless, he had saved himself quite well.

There was still Polnareff and Kars, though, but neither of them seemed to pose as much of a threat. The rapier was pierced through his head, and the arm blade was used in an attempt to cut of Vanilla's head. Ideally, the ultimate being would have also used Hamon in his attack. But since his reawakening through your Stand, he had since found himself incapable of using said ability.

"I have no time to feel pain." Claimed Vanilla Ice as he wrapped back in on himself. Kars immediately retracted his weapon, knowing what would happen if it stayed. Polnareff, on the other hand, was not so lucky, as almost the entirety of his rapier was erased.

You were all forced to scatter once again. This time a small segment of Polnareff's right thigh was removed and he let out a pained scream as he touched the wound and fell to one knee. Lucky enough for him, his femoral artery was uninjured which allowed you enough time to rush over and stop the bleeding before it got any worse.

"Jean, can you still walk?!" You asked as you extended a hand towards him.

He winced in pain every time his right foot made contact with the ground. "Y-Yeah... I'm fine." He could stand well enough, but dodging would become an issue for him as well.

On a similar note, you still needed a way to distract Vanilla long enough that Caesar could make an accurate and successful hit. The enemy was only going to get stronger for the next few minutes and it was in everyone's best interest to eliminate him as soon as possible.

Everything became more frantic as Vanilla kept making holes in the walls, no longer deciding to rely on his eyes but instead on his instincts. And his instincts were good. It had become some sort of twisted silent version of Marco Polo. His tactics soon switched, though, as he began to move in a circle along the walls.

"Talk about reckless." Spoke Polnareff, "All the walls are disappearing."

Caesar shook his head, "He's not moving instinctually anymore. His moves are calculated. He's going to try and spiral in on us. He's well aware that most of us are injured, and he hopes to take advantage of that. If we stay where we are, we'll certainly die."

Your eyes lit up, "Then I suppose this allows the opportunity for a plan. We'll get out of his loop and he'll have to stick his head out to see where we've gone. That's when you strike, Caesar. Move as fast as humanely possible and melt the vampire to dust."

Kars helped move Polnareff and Iggy out of harms way and onto the partially broken staircase. The two of them began to hide among the shadows. You were nimble enough to simply jump to avoid the void sphere. Once Kars had finished his initial task, he allowed Caesar to assume his needed position.

Vanilla Ice stopped the movement of his dimension of darkness once he reached what he believed was the center. He wasn't entirely sure how many of the Joestar team had perished, but in order to be sure none had fled, he needed to take a quick peak to sort it all out. At a first glance, there was nothing. Then he turned around to see you sitting all alone on the staircase. You didn't seem hurt in any way so he supposed that was good. Unless, it was another attempt at some sort of trick. You waved at him so he waved back.

His newly attuned hearing picked up on something odd. A whirring almost crackling sound seemed to start filling his ears. Then he realized the direction of your gaze was a bit off and he felt the sudden urge to look above him. He was met with a glowing fist. Caesar's position was, in fact, above the ground in the center of the room. Kars was the one who held him in place.

"Sunlight Yellow Overdrive!" Shouted Caesar, but only after his fist made contact with the vampire's face. The screaming that ensued was ear shattering as Vanilla Ice's eye sockets began to glow and light poured out of them. His face began to split apart, cracking from the unwanted energy entering his system, reducing him to nothing but ash. It hardly seemed a painful enough end to the man who killed Muhammad Avdol, but better this than nothing at all.

Kars set Caesar on the ground as Polnareff and Iggy moved back into the open. Your rarely beating heart stopped as you looked up into the sky of the setting sun. You rubbed your eyes, not sure if you were imagining the smoky image, "A-Avdol!?" You reached a hand out towards him, but he was so far away. Tears began to well up in your eyes. He smiled down at all of you and gave a subtle shake of his fist. He didn't say anything but the message was clear. All of you needed to continue forward and finish this battle for him. And just like that he was gone.

"Was that... was that real?" Questioned Polnareff. He let out a pained grunt as he shuffled closer to you. He wiped your tears away before you had the chance to shed them, "We don't have any time to waste. We can't stop to cry yet."

You looked up at the French man, "But Jean, you're crying too..." He let out a heart wrenching sob and pulled you against him. Caesar walked over and joined in on the embrace as Iggy moped on the floor at your feet.

You took in a shaky breath as you attempted to get back on track, "The sun is setting, too. If we don't hurry it might set before we even fight Dio. He's going to be a difficult foe, I'm not sure how likely it is that we'll be able to defeat him."

Caesar looked at you curiously, "Do you already know his Stand ability?"

You nodded, "Yes. He can stop time."

Polnareff's eyes widened, "W-What?! How can we be expected to deal with something like that?!"

You shook your head, "I have no idea. But we can't stop now. We have to find any weaknesses he has and exploit them. But first we should probably wrap that up." You pointed to the wound on his thigh, "Just in case." You ripped off part of the curtains covering the windows, "Huh, the quality is decent enough. Suppose I shouldn't expect less from a man who has a room dedicated to his money pile." You wrapped it as quickly and efficiently as possible, "Caesar, are you still going to be alright?"

He rocked back and forth on his heel, "It was a bit awkward at first, but I think I've gotten the hang of it."

You looked down at the dog by your feet. You didn't even need to ask him as he stood up alert and growled ferociously. Iggy was ready to give Dio a well deserved piece of his mind. "Well, what are we waiting for?" You made your way up the rickety stairs and led them to where you remember the next flight being located.

The four of you had barely started up the second staircase when the menacing aura that usually surrounded Dio started getting closer, almost too close. That's when you rounded the corner and saw him. Just standing their, waiting. A hand on his hip and a smirk across his lips. He was no longer shirtless either, as his chiseled form was now adorning a tight black tank-top and a jacket matching his unusual pants.

He opened his mouth enough to let his charismatic voice fill the room, "Ah, my darling (Y/N). Long time no see."
