" Ackk!"
" Issei-san, Buchou. Good to see you all well." spoke Kiba after seeing the group arrive.
" Grayfia is most likely analyzing the magic to seal off the gate used by these enemies. On the meantime, let's give our best on protecting this school."
" Hai! Buchou."
The red head formed a magic circle to block the magic attacks coming from the sky. The degree of the impact multipled which broke Rias' magic, making her lose balance.
"Buchou!" Issei shouted in worry.
" Focus, Issei! Rias replied back as she gazed at the number of enemies floating on the sky.
"T-This is all my fault.." Gasper broke down as he witnessed his club members fighting hundreds of enemies. " I helped the enemies on causing chaos."
"BUCHOU, ISSEI-SENPAI, I WANT TO HELP!"
The vampire's sudden outburst caused the two to look at him.
" I want to be of help! I want to fight as well! I want to show Issei-senpai that I could be a man too and I want Erin-senpai to be proud of me!" The vampire stood up and activated his power, breaking the bracelet on his hand.
" G-Gasper.."
*(FLASH)*
*(ZOOM)*
" W-What just happened?" Sona said in a daze as she was teleported to the outside together with Tsubaki.
" Yipiee! You can finally move again!" Serafall cheered in delight and hugged the girl.
" Ara, What is happening?"
" W-Who are those cloaked people floating in the sky?" Asia said in shock.
" Akeno, Asia. There's no time to explain. We have to defeat these beings who are planning to wreck the school." Rias ordered.
" Hai! Gasper managed to destroy the time-freeze spell as well as the gate used by the enemies to teleport!" Issei raised his arm in determination.
" Let's finish off these enemies!"
"[BOOST!]"
The ORC fought with high spirits together with Sona and Tsubaki.
"I'm getting bored on fighting with you. I'll finish this once and for all."
Azazel raised a dagger-like accessory and it shone in violet light.
" This is one of my hobbies. Collecting gears. I call this the Downfall Dragon Spear, my artificial gear."
He then closed his eyes and chanted.
"Balance break. Downfall Dragon spear, another armor."
*(CHING)*
He was now clad in golden armor similar to the Dragon's balance breaker form and held a trident-like weapon on one hand.
" Heh, now come at me, monster."
" I'LL KILL YOU!" Cattleya's body shifted to an extreme flexible state as her arms extended to great lengths, trying to grab the Fallen.
Azazel was quick to dodge and the weapon he held stabbed Cattleya on her back, earning a piercing scream.
The girl wasn't planning on dying soon as she quickly latched her arms on the Fallen's armor.
"The creation of the new world can still commence even without my presence. That is why, if I can take out 3 of the great powers then I can welcome death!" Cattleya had a crazed look. " I'll destroy myself along with you!"
" Destroy yourself? Hah. I don't want to mock your hopes and dreams but it's not working. You're still gonna die."
Azazel quickly used the trident to cut his arm which Cattleya latched on. He then threw the weapon which finally killed the girl.
" I'm willing to lose an arm for you." The Fallen said as he transformed out of his armor.
" Damn. That guy's sick. He'll willingly cut his arm off."
" We're not done. There are still a few forces left." Rias said as she placed a hand on Issei's shoulder.
"Right."
*(ZAP!)*
*(BOOM!)*
*(CRASH)*
" Nice. They annihilated everyone." Azazel commented.
They were suddenly alarmed when an attack was aimed towards their direction.
*(BLAST!)*
" Woah- Shit!" Issei was blown away by the force.
Azazel was likewise sent to ground from the strong impact.
"It nearly caught me. Guess I'm losing my edge." He looked up to see the attacker. " Now that was dangerous. Bad Vali, tsk."
" I'm sorry Azazel." hovered Vali in his Balance Breaker form. " But things are more interesting on this side."
" Vali! You betrayed us. You're the one who is behind all this chaos." Issei gritted in anger.
"Hmm. I understand your reason but I just want to ask you one thing." Azazel dusted away some dirt and flew to face the boy.
" You know Shemhaza my vice-governor general. He recently informed me that there is Faction who is gathering dangerous elements and members of the 3 Great powers."
Azazel held a glint in his eye
" What they were called? Right, the Khaos Brigade."
" Whoever is leading them must be strong. But why would anyone gather such dangerous people together?" Serafall voiced out.
" I bet I could guess who is leading you." Smirked Azazel to Vali. " It must be Ophis."
"The Infinite Dragon God. The Dragon so strong that even God was afraid of him. " spoke Rias
" Yes it is true that I have sided with Ophis. But believe me, neither of us has the slightest interest in world domination. We're just a group who formed to use our powers. That's all."
" Well that makes sense now. Both of you have your devil titles stolen so it is natural for you to team up."
" He's a descendant of the original devil kings too?" questioned the group in shock.
" My name is Vali Lucifer." announced the boy. " I am a direct descendant of one of the dead devil kings."
" Lucifer?"
" Impossible." Rias thought in shock same as Sirzechs.
" My mother was a human so I am a half-blood. My father is the grandson of the former devil king Lucifer."
" Being a half human you happen to possess a Sacred Gear. On top of that, you have the blood of a real devil king."
" I must say that I am one of those miracles." Devil wings extended from the wings of his Balance Breaker form which surprised the group once more.
" I have a feeling that he will be the best White Emperor the world has ever known." Azazel gazed at Vali. " Past, present, and towards the future."
Vali turned to face Issei.
" Issei Hyoudou. Fate can be cruel, don't you think?"
" Yeah. Maybe." replied Issei coldly.
"I am the strongest Dragon and I carry with me the blood of the Devil king. But you, you are just a lowly human. Before becoming a devil you weren't even an impressive student in highschool. So in conclusion, you are just nothing without the Boosted Gear."
Vali scoffed inside his armor.
" Disappointing. It is truly disappointing. I didn't fathom that one of my rivals could be this weak. I would have preferred fighting the Blue Dragon Empress because compared to her and myself, you are just a speck of dirt."
" You think I'm not aware that our strength are skies apart? I'm training to beat your ass." Issei replied in anger.
" Then you should try harder. Say, I have a suggestion for you. Why don't you try being an Avenger?"
"What do you mean asshole?"
"I could kill your parents for you. Maybe this would help in bringing out your power." smirked Vali.
This statement shocked the ORC and Issei's anger reached dangerously high.
" Hah. That's right. It would be a win-win situation. In fact, I think that your parents would thank me for killing them. It would be far greater to die on my hands than live such boring lives anyway."
" H-How cruel!" Asia voiced out.
" Issei." Rias spoke in worry as she witnessed the boy trembling in anger.
"Why... Why do my parents have to die just for this own bastard's convenience.. WHY?!" Issei looked up with hate.
" I'LL KILL YOU, YOU STUPID PUNK!"
*(FLASH!)*
"[ Welsh Dragon Over Booster!]"
A bright light enveloped Issei and the bracelet on his hand broke off. He successfully activated a temporary Balance Breaker form and was now clad in red armor.
" Would you look at this, his power drastically increased."
"[ Yes. Sacred Gears respond to the intense feelings of the User. All he is feeling right now is pure hatred directed at you. You did a great job temporarily bringing out his dragon.]"
" So you're saying that I'm doing a better job at motivating him to fight?" Vali asked in amusement.
"[ It appears so.]"
" COME HERE YOU SHITTY BASTARD!" Issei dashed at Vali, aiming his fist to land a punch.
"[ BOOST!]"
The two dragons clashed in speed, emitting a flash of red and white light around them.
"I have to help him-"
" Rias, no. Right now, their auras have surpassed the normal limit and this would pose a great danger if you approach them while they are in that form." Sirzechs warned as he took a hold of Rias' arm.
" But I have to help him somehow!"
" The best we can do is to observe from the sidelines." Sirzechs sighed. "Or else we would only be hindering him in his fight."
" TAKE THIS!"
Issei's punch managed to land a hit on Vali's head but the latter was quick to take a hold of his hand and summon his own power.
"[ DIVIDE! ] "
*(BOOM)*
Vali decreased the power of Issei's gear and he delivered a strong punch on his lower body causing Issei to cough up a few blood.
" Shit. I forgot that his attacks could steal some of my power and use it for himself."
Vali directed the energy he stole in his wings, making them shine from the action.
" What's he doing?"
"[ He's transferring the excess power on his wings. This way, he can still operate at full capacity. The power needs to be distributed evenly since the gear could only handle a certain amount so far. ]"
" Oh I get it. If the amount of power is too much for him to handle, he'll go overdrive or burst?"
"[ Yes. It appears so.] "
" All right. Let's do this!"
Issei boosted numerous times and dashed back at Vali. He grabbed a hold of the latter's wings and prepared to transfer his power.
"[ TRANSFER!]"
"[ DIVIDE! ] "
"Heh. I'll just keep boosting and transferring my power to you. Added with the power you stole, your gear would suffer an overdrive and your wings can't withstand the amount of power."
" Kuh. You insolent brat."
"[ We need to restart or avoid this amount of power. The armor would surely get destroyed at this point.]"
With his free hand, Issei delivered a strong punch to Vali which sent him to the ground. His Armor disappeared from the impact and some of the gear's jewels fell off.
Vali shakily stood up.
" Impressive. You managed to break my armor off. Guess your feelings gave you a boost of power."
He summoned his power and was clad in his armor again.
" But H-How.." gaped Issei.
"[ This is how Dragons fight. As long as the user still has the will to go on, the battle will continue until one of them is knocked down to defeat.]"
" Well shit. I guess I'll die fighting then." said Issei as he glared at the boy.
*(Dash)*
The two delivered a barrage of attacks but Vali was able to have the upper hand as he caused a divertion and delivered a wave of attack towards the ORC
"NOO!"
" Asia!" Issei quickly flew to her direction and used his body to shield her from the attack. This caused the gear to suffer a tremendous amount of damage.
" Issei-san!" The blonde approached Issei in panic as he fell down from the impact.
Vali transformed out of his armor and reverted the gear to its base form.
"Hmm. In that condition, I guess you can't continue to fight longer. More so, since your Balance Breaker is only temporary."
" Issei, are you alright?" Rias asked in worry.
" I-I'm f-fine..." replied Issei who was assisted by Asia.
"Tsk. Is this really the end? Do I really have no chance of beating this shit?"
Issei's eyes landed on the lone jewel shining on the ground.
"[ Partner, are you planning what I am sensing?]"
" Yes, Ddraig." answered Issei in determination. "Sacred Gears respond to the feelings of their user, right? So If I want to assimilate Albion's power that would be possible then?"
Ddraig roared in amusement in both the absurdity and danger of the request.
"[ Yes, you are right. But are you prepared to die, partner? This task would nearly be impossible and would cost your life.]"
" I'll take a great risk if this means beating that bastard to the ground."
"[ HAH! If that's what you want then so be it. You have always been brash when it comes to making decisions but this behavior of just springing into action without a second thought is what makes you advance forward until now.]"
Issei picked up the jewel and held it tightly.
" Oh? Is this is your wild card move? I don't know if I should be impressed or laugh at this."
"[ Silly boy. Doesn't your user know that it is impossible to assimilate my power to your own gear? We are 2 entirely different entities and would never mix in whatever aspects.]"
"[ That may be true, Albion. But you haven't familiarized the behavior of this user of mine. His reckless attempts and foolish thinking is what makes the impossible happen.]"
"Assimilate!"
*(FLASH!)*
" ARGGHHH!" Issei kneeled down in pain as he felt a burning sensation on his hand.
" THIS SHIT HURTS!"
"[ You have to withstand it or your actions will be for nothing!]"
Albion roared in laughter and Vali scoffed at the scene.
" I don't think I can withstand the pain any longer." Issei closed his eyes and gritted his teeth.
*(FLASH)*
His strength left him as he fell down on the ground and passed out.
