A flash of light erupted in the room and the leader of the Angels stood in glory.
" This sensation.. I can feel a weird mix between recognition and rejection. It's making my skin crawl."
"{ That is your light and devil side contradicting each other, my child.}"
The angel made a bow after seeing Erin. His gesture surprised Akeno who was observing their interaction.
" Greetings, Miss Erin. My name is Michael, the current supervising leader of the Angels. I was informed from my sources that a Goddess has set forth on this land. Though you are reincarnated as a devil, it can't be debated that the deities of Olympus are natural guardians of humans. This extends to the Angel Faction as well."
" You don't have to make such gestures." Erin awkwardly said.
" Please raise your head."
Michael obliged and they seated themselves on the floor.
" I came here to give a gift. This was discussed by the higher-ups and I believe that you are the most capable user to wield this one.
Michael raised his hand and a sword emerged from the light, floating in mid-air.
" This is the Holy Sword Ascalon. It is popularly known as the Dragon Slayer because of the feats made by the previous wielders. I shall entrust this sword to you."
" Why are you giving this to me?"
"A lot of things has happened recently." Michael held a serious look. " The current Faction leaders wanted to uphold peace and to achieve this one, we have to maintain the status quo and fight whatever forces that may disrupt this peace."
Erin nodded at this.
"There are still mysterious forces outside the realm of heaven and hell which might strike all sides just to cause chaos. That is why, we should observe all precautions when drastic times occur."
" And by giving me the sword, you are increasing the chances of maintaining peace by increasing the strength of those forces allied to this cause." added Erin.
Michael smiled at this and nodded.
" Okay. I shall accept this gift."
Erin stood up and raised her hand towards the sword.
"{ Swords naturally pose dangers to users of a gear containing the spirit of a dragon. However, you have the blood of a Knight and a powerful light atttibute as well. There shall be no problem to acquire holy swords even if you possess a devil attribute now.}"
The sword seemed to respond to Erin's presence as it moved willingly to her direction. Upon touching the handle, the sword shined in another light and blue markings appear on the surface, which resemble a crooked lightning.
" You are truly the destined user for Ascalon." said Michael in awe.
" Now I have my sword to match my Thunder Shield." Erin said as she gazed at her new weapon.
" I believe my objective is finished here. I shall attend back to heaven since we still have matters to discuss."
" Oh, before that. Can I request something to you? I shall ask it the next time we meet."
" If it is a request from a divine deity, it shall be executed without problems." bowed Michael before he left.
Akeno prepared some drinks when it was only the 2 of them left.
"The deities of Olympus are naturally aligned towards light. Still, it is a surprise to see a High Angel bow submissively." chuckled Akeno.
" Yeah. I wasn't really expecting that. I'm only a half-deity after all and not a full blooded one."
Akeno smiled at this and her expression turned solemn afterwards.
"I haven't really apologized for hiding my identity."
" Ara, it was no problem, Erin-chan. We understand your reasons for not revealing your identity."
" I see.. it's a relief that you don't hate me for that."
" Fufu, why would I hate you?" replied Akeno teasingly.
Erin smiled at this then shifted to a serious expression.
" You don't hate me for hiding my identity, Akeno-senpai. That is also the same for me. I don't hate you for hiding your identity either."
Akeno's eyes slightly widened.
" I can sense aura. This also includes the race of an individual before they are reincarnated or turned to something else. I am already aware that you have a Fallen Angel side right from the beginning."
Akeno sadly stood up and lowered her priestess outfit to reveal her wings.
" You are right. I am a Half Fallen Angel who is a daughter to a Fallen Angel General and a human. When I was turned to a devil, I acquired these ugly wings which is a mix between the devil and fallen race."
" Why do you have to hide your true identity?"
" Because I hate it." Akeno replied with a conflicted expression. " When Rias offered me a new life as a devil, I grabbed the chance to erase the trace of my Fallen side and to spite my father too. He is the reason why I hate my Fallen Angel side."
Erin stood up and faced Akeno.
"And I am certain you hate it as well. The Fallen Angel race already caused a lot of damage. They targetted Asia, Issei, and you before. They are also the reason why you are killed in the past. Knowing that, I'm afraid to reveal my true identity because you will certainly hate me."
" What type of rubbish are you speaking, Akeno?"
The girl looked at the Goddess in surprise.
" Just because you are in the same race as those trouble makers doesn't mean that I will automatically hate you." Erin said in a matter of fact tone.
" I may hate those Fallen Angels but I don't generalize them all. Moreover, you shouldn't compare yourself to those stupid idiots who know nothing than to cause trouble."
She placed her hands on Akeno's shoulders.
" You are Akeno Himejima. The Queen of Rias' peerage and is a great senpai. You are an amazing person who is different to those crazy Fallen. So the next time you are ashamed of your identity, you should remember that you are one of a kind!" spoke Erin in determination.
Akeno had tears in her eyes and Erin quickly moved away from her.
"Oh- Umm. Yeah.. You shouldn't get so sad about it. You deserve better than to hate yourself."
" Arigatou, Erin-chan." Spoke Akeno as she wiped away her tears.
" It wasn't really my intention to make things awkward haha." The Goddess sheepishly said.
" I wasn't really wrong on catching feelings for you."
" Hah-"
*(Dash)*
Akeno hugged the Goddess in a rush resulting to both of them falling on the floor.
"A-Akeno-senpai."
"I'm aware that Rias had a greater chance on catching your attention. However, I don't mind if you choose me as your 2nd lover or whatever position I am. I'm already contented with that even if I am just an option and never chosen initially."
" Wha- I won't be doing such things!" Erin replied in a flustered state.
Akeno chuckled at this and leaned closer to her. Erin looked away so Akeno's lips landed on her cheek.
" Ufufu. I suppose you got traumatized with how forward I am. I'll try to give my gratitude in a less aggressive way.
She gazed at Erin for a while and the Goddess grew confused.
" Um. Do you want to say something? Because if not, we can stand up cuz you see this position is kinda awkward."
" Erin. Can you insult me?"
" What?!"
" Like say mean things to me."
" Why would I do that?" asked Erin who wasn't comprehending her request.
"Just for my own satisfaction." Akeno said with a blush.
" Umm.. Do I really have to say something?"
" It would make me happy if you do, fufu."
" Okay. Um- Akeno.. you're a bad girl."
Erin said hesitantly. She can't think of any insult at the moment and quite frankly, understand why she had to say such things.
Akeno gushed over this and hugged her with intensity.
" Thank you, Erin-chan, fufufu." A blush appeared on Akeno's cheeks.
" Y-You're welcome, senpai... haha"
" Is this some sort of fetish or something? Just what type of things is Akeno into?"
Akeno leaned away from the Goddess and stood up. She then patted her lap and motioned for the Goddess to lay there.
" I'm going to give you a lap pillow as a thanks. Fufu."
" Y-You don't have to give me anything." replied Erin as she fixed her hair.
" Come on, Erin-chan~ I'll feel bad if I don't do this and I might resort to those kisses instead." she winked.
Erin flinched at the idea and quickly laid down causing Akeno to chuckle.
The raven head ran her hand on Erin's hair and the latter released a contented sigh.
" Erin-chan can you sing a song?"
" Huh? Why?" she opened her eyes in surprise.
"I remember you saying that you can perform for Rias and I the next time you're not tired." Akeno smiled. " So please?"
Erin sighed and nodded afterwards. She decided to sing whatever comes to mind that somehow eases Akeno's concerns.
*( Dun dun dun, come and let's sing 🎶🎶)*
Oh, her eyes, her eyes make the Stars look like they're not shining.
Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying.
Akeno's eyes widened after hearing her voice and she was immediately hooked.
She's so beautiful. And I tell her everyday~

Erin looked up to Akeno and smiled at this.

Erin finished and both of them locked eyes.
Akeno seemed to be in a trance. She touched Erin's face and leaned down to kiss her until-
*(Door Opens)*
" You two can't be left alone, can you?" Rias narrowed her eyes, observing their state.
The two moved away from each other and sat upright.
" Ara, hello there, Rias. Fufu."
"Are you done collecting the sword?" Rias directed the question to Erin.
" Ah- Yeah. I already have."
"Then there's no reason for you to stay here any longer." Rias pulled the Goddess by her ear and Akeno bid them goodbye with a chuckle.
