"Hello, is anyone here?" Erin knocked at the door to catch Gasper's attention. There was a shuffle in the background before the Vampire replied.
"W-Who's there?"
"My name is Erin Vermillion. I am a Knight in Rias' peerage and one of her friends. I haven't met you earlier so I just wanted to get to know you."
" A-Ah.. M-My name is G-Gasper V-Vladi. Nice to meet you."
" Hmm. He really is scared."
"Rias told me good things about you, Gasper." Erin said in a friendly tone. "And it made me want to spend some time with you. So would you open this door and we can talk face to face?"
" NOOO! I don't want to! I'm scared of meeting people." sobbed Gasper.
Erin sighed at this and sat on the floor.
" I'm aware that you are a vampire, Gasper." They boy made an 'eep' at this. "And that's one of the reasons why you might be afraid because you can hurt people. But I just want you to know....."
A pause for a moment until Erin went into fangirl mode.
"I FREAKING LOVE VAMPIRES!"
Gasper was shocked hearing this and wondered why the Goddess said so.
" EHH? But why, Erin-senpai? V-vampires are scary. People are a-afraid of them.. and I'm no different because I have a d-dangerous power."
" Are you kidding me, Gasper?" Erin stood up in determination. " Why would I be afraid of you? This is the exact moment I've been waiting for! My fantasies are coming true! I can finally meet a Vampire and with awesome powers too!"
Gasper was super confused as he continued listening to Erin's ramble.
"And on top of that, Rias told me that you are super kawaii. How awesome could that be? A vampire and a cute cosplayer. Kyahh! My dreams are coming true."
" S-She's okay with me dressing up as a g-girl?" the Goddess' words made an impact on Gasper which made him arrive at a decision.
" Y-You seem like a good person E-Erin-senpai. Maybe I can talk to you face to face without getting too s-scared."
" Really? Yey! Thank You, Gasper."
The door opened and Erin stepped in. The room was dimly lit but the Goddess managed to identify the vampire hiding timidly on the side.
" Focus Erin. Control your fangirl thoughts because we might scare him away."
" Hi again, Gasper." Erin greeted with a wave. She sat in front of the vampire and the boy greeted her shyly.
"Soo.. I wanted to talk about your Sacred Gear. I already had an idea on how it works but can you show me how it is used? I wan't too see it up close."
Gasper's eyes widened and he quickly shook his head.
"Pretty please, Gasper." Erin pleaded. " You don't have to be afraid because on the contrary, I think your power is awesome! So go ahead and use it. I don't care if I get freezed or anything."
" I-If you say so. But my power is really dangerous! So I apologize in advance." He quickly added.
Gasper stood up and in a second, he was already on the other side of the room.
" Sugoi, Gasper! Your power is useful because you can also use it to escape on a short time."
"B-But people are afraid of me. I can't really control my power so they hate me for that." Gasper said and looked down.
Erin cautiously approached him and sat down beside him.
" You know, Gasper. I also had the same problem in the past."
" Y-You do?"
" Hai. You see, I am a Knight and not just by the title I hold in our peerage but by blood and being."
Gasper grew interested in this.
" And the thing is, I am also a Goddess." Erin whispered like it is a secret.
" EEH? You are?"
" Yep. Want to see it?"
She summoned her Golden Wings and the vampire awed at the sight.
" Wow... It's beautiful."
Erin smiled at this and she hid her wings.
" And then, I got reincarnated as a devil in our peerage. You can imagine how weird and scary that is. It is like a contradiction. I have a dignified Human Knight side, A Goddess serving under the Light Side, and then A Devil who is obviously inclined towards the 'Dark' side."
" Gawd, it's so confusing and Scary!" She ruffled her hair in frustration and Gasper looked at her intently.
" What's more, I also have a Sacred Gear and it's a Dragon."
" D-Dragon?" Gasper gasped in surprise.
Erin summoned her Gear and Voltaire spoke.
"{ Hello, Gasper. My name is Voltaire and I am the Dragon of Speed and Thunder. You can also call me as the Midnight Dragon.}"
" Voltaire and I already experienced a lot of things together. We trained, got confused, and reached different levels too. And let me tell you, there is always a slight worry in our mind about the nature of the power we hold."
"{ Yes. There is always the possibility of the Gear being dangerous. However, we shouldn't let that stop us from being the best versions of ourselves.}"
Erin patted Gasper's head.
" That's why, we should continue to strive amidst those worries. We should take a risk. Since we already possess our Sacred Gears, we have no choice but to move forward."
" We should be the great Knights and Bishop who serve under our peerage! Little by little, we can achieve that dream. And that includes you mastering your gear, Gasper."
The vampire was moved by Erin's speech and he slowly nodded with determination.
" You are amazing, Erin-senpai. I feel like I can believe you when you are the one saying those words. Please help me overcome my fear, Erin-senpai." Gasper made a bow.
The Goddess reverted back to fangirl mode and hugged the vampire with intensity. He was caught off guard but luckily, he avoided using his power.
" Wahh, I've been holding back a while ago but you are so cute! You are my real life Damon but the cuter version! You are my baby Gaspeee."
Gasper blushed in embarrassment and the Goddess released him afterwards.
" Okay, Gasper. Here's our plan. To overcome your fear of the outside world, the first step is that you should be comfortable with yourself."
" H-hai..But how are we going to do that?"
" Simple." Erin grinned. " You should talk about yourself or whatever things that comes to your mind."
" Oh- Okay.."
The two spent some time talking about various topics. Erin noted how the vampire opened up to her and when she felt that he is comfortable enough, she proposed their next plan.
" Gasper, what do you say that we venture the outside world?"
" EHHHH? But there are a lot of people there!"
" We don't have to mind about the people right now because all we have to do is venture and explore the world."
Erin summoned her wings and held out a hand.
" We are going to fly and you can see how wonderful the outside world is. Would you like to see and test it out?" She smiled.
Gasper timidly accepted her offer and they went out of the room within seconds.
*(WHOOSH!)*
" Wahhh, the wind! the wind is hitting my face! I'm scared! We might fall!"
" Gasper, open your eyes."
The vampire peeked from his hands and when he caught sight of the night view, he removed his hands in shock.
" Beautiful, isn't it? This is one of my hobbies. I call it, the Night Drives. Devil wings can't reach this high in the sky but my wings are naturally designed for this type of flights."
" Sugoi....."
Erin smiled and began to sing a song.

" I can show you the world. Shining, shimmering, splendid 🎶" Erin's melodious voice echoed in the air.
" Tell me Gasper, now when did you last went out and soared high." They passed by some buildings and Gasper shrieked at the size.
" I can open your eyes. Take you wonder by wonder." The vampire was mesmerized at the city lights. They then passed under a bridge causing Gasper to panic and the Goddess to laugh.
" Over sideways or under, on a magical, awesome flight."
" A whole new wooorld 🎶"
" A new fantastic point of view ~"
Gasper waved at some birds flying with them. They flew higher and enjoyed the cool breeze.
" No one to tell us no. Or where to go, or say we're only dreaming."
They soared for some time and Gasper was enjoying at the flight. His fear of the outside world vanished and was replaced by his eagerness to reach new places.
" So won't you share this whole new world... with me. 🎶" Erin finished as they landed on top of a building.
" Erin-senpai.. This is amazing!" Gasper hugged the Goddess out of glee.
" I told you."
"{ My child, it's getting late and it's probably best if you and Gasper spend the night nearby.}"
" You're right, Voltaire. I can't just bring Gasper to the house since he might still freak out seeing a lot of people but I can't necessarily bring him back to the old place either. He's already making a progress to stay out of his hiding place."
Erin took a hold of Gasper's shoulders
" You're doing a great job, Gasper. I can say that you have made some progress to overcome your fear." The vampire beamed at this.
" And for the next step, we should try familiarizing you on staying on places aside from your hiding place."
" H-Hai. I know I still get scared but with you guiding me, I f-feel like I can do it."
They stayed at a luxurious hotel for the night and Gasper would hid behind Erin while they walked at the hallways.
" Here, we are, Gasper." Erin said and opened the door. Their room has 2 large beds and Gasper gaped at the sight.
" Wow. Such big space."
" You can choose which bed you want." Erin smiled as she went to sit on the couch. The Vampire nodded eagerly and jumped on the bed he preferred.
" I can see that you have adapted well to new places. All that is left is your fear on interacting with a lot of people and random ones."
Gasper sadly nodded at this and he voiced out his concerns.
" I'm scared of facing people. I might accidentally use my power and hurt them. A-And I feel vulnerable imagining that they can see me. I'm scared."
Erin pondered on this and she came up with an idea.
" But there's no problem if you feel safe, right? This way, if you don't feel scared, your power won't activate unconsciously."
The Goddess called Sebastian and she waited for a few seconds for the man to answer.
" Erin. Good thing you called. Where are you anyways?"
" I'm spending the night with a friend. Anyways, can you send me one of those eye masks I had? It is in my room and I kept it in a drawer."
" Okay. You'll receive it in a few."
The line disconnected and after a minute, the item was sent to their location.
" Here, Gasper." Erin motioned excitedly. Gasper stood up and put the mask on.
" At the very least, your anxiety to talking to people will be lessened. It's better than a full blown mask which covers your entire face. You can use that whenever you feel scared meeting new people."
" Hai." Gasper cheerfully said and raised his hands.
" Do I look scary now? I am a masked vampire. Hohoho."
Erin chuckled at his actions and noted how silly Gasper could get.
