Hyori and Hyena are easy to get comfortable with.
We learned that Hyori was former Blockberry Creative trainee and trained together with Loona Sunbaenim, while Hyena was former Starship Entertainment trainee.
Now I'm going to the university to pass some of our works that's needed to be passed within this week.
"Nahyeon Eonni where are you?" I asked her, when she picked up her phone
"University. Wae?"
"Let's meet in front of our building in the café?" I asked
"You're here? Let's meet at the building" Nahyeon Eonni said and hunged up the call.
I'm just waiting in front of the building since I'm already here before I call Nahyeon Eonni
"I found you!"
"Eonni! I missed you" I said and chuckled
"Jinjja?" Eonni asked and I nodded, Nahyeon Eonni patted my hair
"How's training? Is it hard?" I nodded and smiled slightly
"Are you still working at the café?" .
"Ne"
"You should resign, you're busy with training and studying. Besides you have your allowance from your parents right?" Nahyeon Eonni asked
"Yes, but I can still handle this Eonni" I said
"You are working too much. Here, I bought Strawberry milk before going to you" Eonni said and gave me the milk
"Thank you, Eonni"
"By the way, have you submitted all the requirements?" Nahyeon Eonni asked
"Ne Eonni. Is there anything I can do for the research?" I asked
"Nah, you did your parts so well and you almost did the whole research. So we'll just send you the final revised version of the paper" Nahyeon Eonni said and I nodded
"Do you have any plans after this?"
"Ne, Eonni. I'm going to the café for my afternoon shift. Why?" I said
"Nothing. Don't overwork yourself huh"
"Algessseubnida" I said and smiled widely."Eonni galkeyo" (I'm going Nahyeon)
"Uh? Okay, take care" I just waved my hand
Tomorrow will be a big day for me— for us, Pledis Trainees.
"Annyeonghaseyo" I said to the driver as I went inside the bus. I tapped my card and went to the back side of the bus.
Looking at the buildings and streets, I have never imagined that my parents will let me live alone in another country. Letting me chase my dreams, so I have to do good and give good results to my parents to pay back what they have done to me.
"Annyeonghaseyo" I said when I entered the café.
Minsu hurriedly went out of the counter.
I just shook my head and tied up my hair in a bun and sanitized my hands before entering the counter
"You're here!" Yeonhee Eonni said
"Ne, annyeonghaseyo" I said
"Go change" Yeonhee Eonni said, she's asking me to change my clothes to our uniform. I went to the personnel's room and changed my clothes inside the bathroom.
"Miki-ya, can you please clean the table 7?" Minchan Oppa said
"Ne, Oppa"
I went to table number 7, it looks like a storm went here.
"Y/N-ya!" Minchan Oppa said, I looked around and saw Y/N Eonni
She looks like walking on a fashion runway.
"Annyeonghaseyo" I greeted her and she greeted me back. She's so nice and pretty off and on camera.
"Minchan-ah. Long time no see" Y/N Eonni said
"What brings you here?" Minchan Oppa said
"Geunyang" (Just because)
"I'll work part time. Jalbutakdeurimnida" Y/N Eonni said in a cheerful way and bowed to us (I'll work part time. Please take care of me)
"Yeonhee knows this?"
"Ani. Surprise"
"Go change. There's an extra uniform at number 6 locker." Minchan Oppa said to Y/N Eonni
I'm now washing the dishes that I got from table number seven.
Since Y/N Eonni went here without any disguise, the café was crowded by her fans and some fansite-nim.
Y/N Eonni was in charge at the cash register and I'm preparing the orders with Minchan Oppa while Minsu is doing the dishes and Yeonhee Eonni is serving.
"Y/N-ya, come here often." Minchan Oppa said
"Hmm? If our schedule will be free like this again, why not?" Y/N Eonni said and smiled
"Miki-ya, I heard that you are a trainee?" Y/N Eonni said, there's no new costumer since all of our tables are all occupied so they have to wait for the first costumers to finish.
"Ne, Eonni"
"What entertainment?"
"Pledis, Eonni" I said and smile.
"Ohh. I'll root for you. Fighting" Y/N Eonni said and patted my hair.
She's really nice, I don't know why Knetz are throwing hates to her. She's friendly and humble, look she is already an idol but still helping us here in the café.
"Miki-ya, your shift is done." Yeonhee Eonni said
"Ne, Eonni"
"We will drink, you want to join?" Yeonhee
"Ya Kim Yeonhee! Miki is a minor"
"Ohh I forgot. Mian."
"Minsu isn't right?" Minchan Oppa asked
"Ne. I'm born with the same year with you" Minsu said to Minchan Oppa
"Ne?!" I asked in shocked.
If he is born in the same year with Minchan Oppa, then he's in the same age with Y/N Eonni and Yeonhee Eonni and I supposedly call him Oppa too, right?
"Wae Miki?" Yeonhee Eonni asked
"Ani. I'm shocked, I never use formality with Minsu— I mean with Minsu Oppa" I said, while avoiding their gaze
"Gwenchana. You don't know, everyone don't. So it's okay." Minsu Oppa said
"Ne, O-oppa" I'm still not use, and I can't see myself getting used on calling Minsu, Oppa. It's weird, I thought he is in the same age as me, because the first time we met I already used informal words to him and he stop me though.
"So it's just Miki, that can't go with us?" Y/N Eonni said
"Ne" I answered
"So where are you going?" Minchan Oppa asked this time
"Training center. Bye~" I said
"Take care" Minsu Oppa said
They closed the café since, tomorrow is Yeonhee Eonni's birthday and they pull an all nighter to Yeonhee Eonni's place after they eat outside.
Within a couple of months of my stay here in Korea, I slowly lose my contact with my friends in the Philippines and in Japan, and it makes me sad. Especially my best friend, Bridgge Anastacio a famous vlogger in the Philippines and that is what keeping him busy.
I miss my parents, I miss bed at home, I miss my kitchen.
If I didn't persuade my parents to send me here, I probably took a culinary course, and I will finish my college in the Philippines.
As I entered the training center, I greeted the staffs and trainees that I passed by.
"Miki-ya!" Gieun Eonni called me
"Annyeonghaseyo Eonni" I said and bowed
"Why did you came back? You left something?" Eonni asked, I shook my head "Practice" I said
"Ohhh hard working Miki, good job" Eonni said and patted my head
"Gieun Eonni, Miki Eonni the possible line up are posted already" Park Nari said, two month old trainee.
"Ne" Gieun Eonni and I said in unison
When we arrived at the lobby where the results are posted, the male and female trainees already gathered there.
"Make way for our top two female trainees" Hyojun Oppa said when he saw us
"Ne?" I said in confusion
"Look at the result" Hyojun Oppa said to us
"Eonni!!!" I said and hugged her
"Omo!" Gieun Eonni said and hugged me
"I'm envious, team A and team B was the only team to passed the possible line up" we heard someone said, probably a trainee from another team. She tsked after saying that.
"Ehem. Good job Gieun-ah, Miki-ya. Keep up the good work" Hyojun Oppa said, making the other trainee shut up
"Sure, we will work harder. Congrats to you too" Gieun Eonni said to Hyojun OppaSurely that we cannot please every person around us.
"Let's eat chicken? tteokbokki?" Hyojun Oppa asked
"Wae?" Gieun Eonni asked
"To celebrate?" Hyojun Oppa said
"Pass. We'll have a meeting in a few" Gieun Eonni said and showed us her phone. My phone vibrated, our Manager sent us the same message that Gieun Eonni's manager sent them
"Nado Oppa, Mian" (Me too Hyojun, Sorry) I said and showed him the message
"Ah geurae. Next time" (Ah sure. Next time) Hyojun Oppa said and he patted our heads. For now, I have to do well, I have to double my efforts to be on the confirmed line up. I'm greedy to have my debut now.
"Anja" Manager Oppa said as I entered the practice room, the room is filled with Manager Oppa, Xi Zei and Hyena
"First, congratulations. I know you already heard and saw the announcement. Right?" Manager Oppa said and we all nodded
"But, passing into the possible line up does not guarantee you all that you will pass in to the final line up. And all trainees who passed the possible line up will carry a big burden, all your trainers will have bigger expectations. This is also the time where the company will slowly establish your names as trainees and will slowly enter the business."
"And, still on talk but we are considering of having a reality show for the fourthy of you" Manager Oppa added
"Good luck. You may go home" Manager Oppa said and leave the practice room
Months passed after the possible line-up announcement, our trainee hours doubled and I barely go to café because of that.
"Girls, go to the conference room" Our Manager oppa said
"Ne"
The seven of us entered the conference room and we saw the whole Team A inside
"Annyeonghaseyo" We said as we entered
Harim Eonni waved at me and pointed the chair beside her.
I assist my members to their chairs first before I went beside Harim Eonni
"So everyone is here?" Kang Su Hwan Pd-nim said
"Ne" We all said in unison
"Let's wait for Han Sung Soo Depyo-nim first" Su Hwan Pd-nim said
"Eonni you know what is this all about?" I ask Harim Eonni
"Uhm I don't know, either"
After a while, Han Sung Soo Depyo-nim arrived, Depyo-nim nodded at us and he sat.
"So, all of you passed the possible line up for the new girl group. Right?" Depyo-nim said
"Ne" We said
"So we have decided that we will release two new girl group in a year"
We're shocked. The company never did this though and Pristin Sunbaenim just disbanded last May
"On the first half of this year, Team A will debut then Team B will follow after. We're still deciding on the team names
We are still in shock because of what Depyo-nim said. But we will just hope that the plan will work out.
"We will slowly introduce you, through sns accounts and will upload dance covers or song covers that you want to release"
"Congratulations and good luck. You may go back to your respective rooms"
"Eonni!!" Seohwa said and hugged me. I feel so happy knowing that I will debut with my girls. My girls whom I am with from the very beginning
But, I thought it will go the way we wanted.
From that day when Han Sung Soo Depyo-nim announced about our debut and as we were introduced to the public, for months we upload dance covers, song covers and vlogs as PlediZ.
Our debut was cancelled.
Before our debut was cancelled, there were rumors about Mnet's new survival show.
And it was confirmed that Gieun Eonni and I will participate in that survival show. The company decided for us. We don't even know what kind of survival show is that.
"Do you really need to do this?" Gieun Eonni asked when we're in the meeting for the said show
"Ne?" Suhwan Pd-nim asked
"We are debuting within this year, what's the use of survival show?" Gieun Eonni asked
"We want to establish your names individually, while your members will establish you group image" Pd-nim said
"Just like what you did with Pristin Sunbaenim?" Gieun Eonni asked and Suhwan Pd-nim taken a back
"Yes. That's why you two will go to the survival show"
Wow Pledis sucks.
"Also before the pre-meeting we want you to lose some weight, work out to have a perfect body and practice hard so they will have a good impression to you two"
"Ne" we both said.
As if we have a choice. Gieun Eonni and I don't like going to the survival show and leave our members even for a while.
"Eonni what is it?" Seohwa asked when I went back to our practice room
"Gieun Eonni and I are going to a survival show" I said
"Huh?"
"That's why they cancelled our debut, right?" Jihyun said and I slowly nodded
"Do you want to join?" Hyori asked
"I don't want to. But we don't have a choice. The debut was not cancelled but, delayed" I said
"We're just here for you Miki Eonni" Xi Zei said and hugged me
"Gomawo" I said and smiled at them
