Plot: y/n was sick and tired from always picking the date spot for her dates with Kenma, so this time she let him pick and he decided on his house.

The beach? No. The arcade? No. The movies? No. "Ughhhh! Think y/n! Where should the next date be?" Y/n grabbed onto her head aggressively and tugged her own hair.
"Y/n! Calm down, you're gonna go bald if you keep doing that!" One of her friends scolded as she took a seat next to y/n on the bench of the school.
"Ah great! y/f/n, give me a good date suggestion!"
"Huh? What, again? Y/n you know Kenma doesn't mind where you guys go."
"I know I know but like, I'm getting really uncreative here. So please, I'm begging you, give me a place for a good date!" Y/n whined.
"Ohhh okay here's one, go make Kenma decide," her friend replied. Y/n sat still for a bit and nodded.
"You're right, I should make him decide this time," Y/n decided as she pulled out her phone and texted her boyfriend.
'Hey! For our date this weekend, where do you want to go?' she texted. Right after she clicked send, she got an instant reply.
'Anywhere, you can decide.'
'Nahh, you decide. I'm always the one to decide, it's not fair,' This time after you've sent the text, he left you on read.
"He's leaving me on read," she told her friend.
"Uhhhh, I can't tell if that's a good or bad thing," y/f/n replied.
"How is it even a good thing?" Y/n asked. The bell suddenly rang, signaling that break time was over and everyone needs to return to class.
"Good luck finding a place for your date," Y/f/n told before getting up and heading to her own class. Y/n sighed, knowing that she'll have to come up with a place for her upcoming date.
Y/n loves Kenma a lot but sometimes she feels like he doesn't do much in the relationship. He often lets her decide on things and usually always agrees with her. This made y/n feel like she was the only one putting effort , maybe Kenma doesn't like what she thinks but just went with it. She sighed one more time before she got up and headed back to class.
***Time skip to the after school***
Y/n was walking down the hall with her friend. They were talking about their love life and the problems they have in their relationship.
"I just feel like Kenma doesn't want to give me his opinions on anything. What if I did something he didn't like and he breaks up with me?" Y/n worried.
"That's why you need to have a heart to heart talk with him. Get him to voice his thoughts to you," Y/f/n replied.
"What if he doesn't want to talk about it?"
"I don't care if he doesn't want to talk about it, you still need to tell him because I'm pretty sure you and I know what will happen if you don't solve this."
" Sigh. Yeah you're right, I'll talk to him." As y/n finished her sentence she felt her phone buzzed, the screen lit up and a text message from 'My kitten💓😽' popped up on her screen . Y/n quickly swiped over the message to see what it was about.
'Hey, sorry I left you on read, I just decided where we should go this weekend. Maybe you can come over to my place?' the text read.
"Woah- looks like someone's doing the dirty deed this weekend." Y/f/n teased as she looked over at y/n's phone screen.
"Hey shut up. I'm sure he didn't mean it like that," Y/n blushed as she quickly defended her boyfriend.
'Sure we can do that!' she typed back.
'Alright, I'll see you this weekend' he replied.
***Time skip to the weekends***
Y/n was on her way to her boyfriend's house. She brought a bag of goodies for the date such as snacks, ice cream, pastries and some fruits for his parents.
As she arrived at his doorsteps, she rang the bell 2 times as a signal to tell him that she's arrived. The door swung open, revealing her boyfriend in a red t-shirt and black shorts.
"Come in," He invited as he helped carry her bag. Y/n stepped into his house, placed both her shoes on the shelves before going further into the house.
"Oh it's very clean here, unlike my place," She laughed. Kenma came up behind her and smiled.
"Oh, I just finished cleaning up," He admitted.
"Ah I see, I bet you were putting away all your baby photos or something."
"Hmm maybe," He lightly chuckled.
"Sooo, where are your parents?"
"Dad went out to work and Mom went out to hangout with some friends," He replied.
"Ahh, well I got them some fruits," Y/n told. Kenma nodded as he took the bag and emptied it out onto the kitchen counter, only putting the necessary ones for their date back in the bag.
"Let's go up to my room," He said as he grabbed y/n's hand and guided her up to his room.
He opened the door to reveal a rather simple room. Y/n would've expected something neon like some gamer rooms on YouTube.
"Nice room," she complimented.
"Thanks" he replied. Y/n went to sit down his bed and look around. His room was very simple, he had a shelf full of books, figurines and photos. A gaming pc and chair, some posters, a drawer, a tv and a medium sized couch.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" He asked, waving a remote control in his hand.
"Sure, perfect reason why I brought so many snacks!" Y/n exclaimed as she went to settle down on the couch with the blonde setter. Kenma then turned on the TV and switched to a comedy action movie. He pulled y/n closer to him and let her sleep on his chest while they watch the movie.
Y/n didn't expect Kenma to do things like these but she wasn't complaining, he felt warm and she could hear his heart beat. The two of them snuggled up against each other while the movie was playing. She felt so at peace that it made her doze off a bit. While Kenma was there enjoying the free snacks that they've opened up.
"Y/n?" Kenma called out as the movie ended, only playing the credits.
"Hm?" Y/n replied weakly.
"Are you tired?"
"Heh, a bit," Y/n chuckled.
"Do you want to get some rest?" He asked. Y/n got up from his chest and shook her head.
"No, I don't want to waste this precious time sleeping," She replied. Kenma smiled back at her and got up from the couch.
"I have some board games, do you want to play?" He asked. Y/n got up and nodded her head.
The two then sat down on the floor and played 'guess who'. Kenma was leading the game while y/n was struggling coming up with questions.
"Ahhh, this is not fair. I keep on losing!" Y/n pouted. The blonde boy in front of her chuckled and shook his head lightly.
"Should I go easy on you instead?" He asked. Y/n glared playfully at him and shook her head.
"No, I want to beat you on my own." The two then continued to play, with Kenma still in the lead.
The two finished the game with y/n not winning a single match. She was now currently packing up her things, getting ready to call an end to their date. As she was packing, she heard a phone buzz. It was Kenma's phone on his bed, while he was in the bathroom y/n decided to take a little peek. He had received a text message from y/f/n.
"Oh- I wonder what they're talking about," She said to herself. She didn't want to go through his phone but curiosity got the best of her. She picked up his phone and swiped over the message.

"Huh? What are they talking about?" Y/n asked herself before she tried to scroll up to see their past conversation. Sadly she didn't get see any as Kenma snatched his phone away from her quickly.
"I swear, I can explain!" He exclaimed as he hid his phone behind his back.
"Yes you better explain," Y/n didn't know what he was talking about but she was curious on where this was going.
Her boyfriend slouched and sighed in defeat. "I made y/f/n tell me about places you would like to go on our next date since I don't know where I should take you. Then she started scolding me on how I was a bad boyfriend and all. I didn't want to lose you so I forced her to talk to you about any problems you had with me and she said that I look like I don't put much effort into the relationship, but I really try to! Y/n I know I'm not perfect or anything but all you need to know is that I really love and care for you!" He finished.
Y/n spaced out a bit. She didn't expect to receive all these information at once but quickly shook her head and respond.
"What? That's it? You forced y/f/n to ask me this?"
Kenma looked back at her and nodded slowly, feeling kind of embarrassed as the color red crept upon his face. Y/n laughed out loud as she did not expect this to happen and pulled her boyfriend into a hug.
"Oh Kenma. I'm glad that you still love me. What you did didn't make me mad or anything, I actually find it kind of cute and funny. Let's try to be more open around each other okay? And I' m sorry that I went through your phone, that was very childish of me," Y/n apologized. They both pulled away from the hug while the blonde setter looked at her and smiled.
"I don't mind you looking through my phone because I have nothing to hide from you. Besides, you're the only one other than me who is allowed to touch my phone."
Y/n looked up at her boyfriend and smiled softly before leaning in to peck his lips.
"I love you Kenma."
