Camila POV
it was Friday the game was just about to start I waited till everyone left the locker room and went to the showers pulling out the supplies I needed to get high out my back pack
After I done the deed and was feeling the high take over my body I heard someone calling my name
"Camila" I heard then started to rush putting everything that had to do with the drug in my backpack and rushed out the showers
Once I was out and next to my locker I saw Chris turn the Conner quick
"Camila they are calling the batting positions come on" he said running back outside
"Fuck" I let out running after him leaving my backpack in my locker
I ran out the locker room to hear my name being called in the roster for who's batting I'm 3rd In line today I couldn't wait I stood on the side line practicing my swing it was really hot out today
I looked into the crowd to see Lauren and her family in the stands I blew Lauren a kiss missing my girlfriend
I tried to practice my batting as much as I could but I felt the speed of my heart rise causing me to sowing the bat wrong way
My name was being called thought the microphone I stood in the batting square trying to focus on the ball that was about to come
He threw the ball I felt like I didn't even see it I kept my eyes on the next ball and totally missed that one as well I looked over to Lauren then back at the pitcher
He threw it and to my surprise I swung the bat just in time I sent it flying out the field and started to run but as soon as I past first base I felt my body get heavy tripping over my own feet I was out cold
Lauren POV
I watched Camila's body hit the floor making the dust around her go everywhere I ran down the bleachers with my dad close behind me
Everyone had started to surround her till the couch told everyone to step back as he check her pulse
"Call an ambulance" he shouted
"It's okay I got her" my dad said picking her up from the floor and carrying her to the parking lot where our car was parked opening the door and sitting her up her eyes opened and closed as if she was nodding in and out of consciousness
"Camila" my dad spoke to her he then pulled up her sleeve to revile her skin red with marks from the needles I knew she was using again it broke my heart to see her like this a tear fell from my eye slipping down my cheek
"I'm sorry Lauren" she barely let out with a tear before falling back into a deep sleep
"She will be fine she just needs to sober up" he told me while I kept my eyes on Camila
"I'm going to go tell your mom to stay with Chris while I drop you girls back at the house" he told me I nodded my head and hopped into the back seat with Camila's head in my lap her face looking drained of color her eyes looking as if she just got into a fight
I let a tear fall hitting Camila on the cheek I hated seeing her hurting I felt like it was my fault I couldn't help her
When we got to my house my dad set Camila on the couch
"Make sure she stays here I would like to talk to her" he told me
"Okay dad thank you for everything" I told him extremely grateful for helping me with her
Camila woke up about an hour later Begging me to forgive her
"I'm so sorry baby i didn't mean it i want to change I'm going to quit don't worry I promise " she told me completely non sense over and over as tears spilled out her eyes
"Camila there is no point in making promises you can't keep" I told her seriously
She just looked at me blankly sitting up in the couch
"I will just watch" she said standing up to leave stumbling slightly
"You need to sit down" I told her grabbing her and sitting her back down
"I need to leave" she told me
"For what I though you were going to be sober" I told her she just chuckled
"I am but I told my dad I would go see him after the game" she told me but at this point I believe nothing that comes out her mouth
"What's your problem Camila why are you killing yourself slowly " I asked her genuine concerned
"Right now you are my problem Lauren can you just let me leave alone" she said angrily standing up pushing me out the way
Just in time I heard my parents car pull up I followed Camila stoping at the door to watch her and my fathers interaction
Camila POV
I walked out Lauren's front door only to be met with her father stepping out his car I was just about to walk past him when he spoke
"Where do you think your going Camila" he asked as if he owned me or something
"Why does it matter you don't own me but if you must know I'm leaving" I told him about to continue my journey home
"If you leave Camila it will be the last time you ever do that this will be the last time you ever come see my daughter or your soon to be child do you understand that " he told me angrily
I just stood there staring at him looking back at Lauren every so often to see tears falling from her eyes
"Is that what you want Camila to leave and never see them and be free or would you like to stay and let me help you because this right here is your last chance" he continued to talk to me the thought of never seeing Lauren or our daughter broke my heart into a million pieces
I dropped down to my knees tears falling from my eyes I wanted to get better I was sick and tired of being an addict
"I'm tired of being an addict" I sobbed staring at Lauren from afar then back at her father
"Well get up because it won't be easy but we will work at it everyday until your better and well enough to be trusted" he told me
"Thank you" I told him pulling him into a hug knowing this won't be easy at all but I would do anything to keep Lauren and my child close
I stood up pulling myself together cleaning the grass off my cloths the kids and their mom were inside
"Now come inside and get ready for dinner" he told me I watched as he walk to the house giving Lauren a kiss on the head before heading inside
I walked to the house seeing Lauren who was heading inside and up to her room I flowed close behind with my head bowed in disappointment
she left the door open for me to walk in right behind her I closed the door and locked it behind me not wanting anyone to interrupt our talk
"I'm so sorry my love" I told her sitting down next to her
"I'm sorry for all the pain and hurt that I put you thought but I love you and I can't imagine a world with you gone" I told her a tear falling from my eye
"You have to believe me even though I've given you a hundred reasons not to and I will get better for you and our baby girl" I seen a tear escape her eye I was quick to wipe it leaving my hand to feel her soft skin under my touch
"I believe you baby" she said pulling me into a hug I felt like I could stay here forever breathing in her Sent
I heard a knock at the door so I pulled away from the hug going to answer the door as Lauren wipes the tears that fell while hugging
I opened it to see Chris standing there
"It's time for dinner" he said
"Thanks Chris and I'm sorry for messing up the game" I apologized to him
"Its cool we still won it was a bit harder without you there but we pushed though" he told me making me smile at how much he enjoyed talking about the sport I also enjoyed
"That's great I'll see you down there mabey you can tell me more about it" I told him and watched as he basically flew downstairs
"Dinners ready" I told Lauren walking back into her room
"Okay let's go" she told me still wiping her eyes
"You know I love you more then anything in the world right" I told her truthfully
"I know and I love you too" she said pulling me into a quick kiss
"Okay let's head down" she told me taping on my chest
