Manik : okay Nandini I will now tell you a story
Nandini maintained her stone face
Manik :A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
Manik looked at Nandini to see if she has any emotions but her face was devoid of any emotions
Manik : Nandini do you know what the other friend did ?
Nandini remained quiet as usual
Manik : The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand;
“Today my best friend slapped me in the face.”
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone;
“Today my best friend saved my life.”
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him;
“After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied;
“When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase"
Manik looked at Nandini as he finished the story
Manik : who hurted you my new friend ?
Nandini just looked at him and stared at him without saying a word
Flashback Ends
Nandini smiled remembering her short flashback and then looked at manik who was still hugging her tightly
Nandini : I will never leave you mera new friend
Manik tightened his hold on her and unintentionally carresed her hair
This surprised Nandini that how he can even understand her emotions in deep sleep
Nandini shushed her mind who was busy in praising manik and slept
After having about 4 hours of sleep they were welcomed by bright sunlight
Nandini woke up due to the light in the room whereas manik snuggled in the blanket almost covering himself
Nandini went to the balcony to just check the status of the storm and to her utter displease the storm was still strong in the Indian Ocean
Here , Manik woke up and took the blanket with him to the balcony and covered himself and Nandini by taking her in a back hug
Manik : sab thik ho jayega barfii
Nandini : I need you with me in this
Manik : I am here just near you
Nandini snuggled in manik for warmth whereas manik just let her be
And then there was a knock on the door
Nandini separated herself from manik and wore her robe whereas manik wore his vest
Nandini opened her door only to be welcomes by three hugs
Nandini : I am fine guys
Mukti : shh baby
Cabir : kab lab jayegi angel
Nandini rested her head on his shoulder and said
Nandini : In a hour or so
Aliya : we all will drop you
Manik : no I will drop her ..actually guys it is about the secrecy of the mission
Nandini : no guys actually
Everyone : we understand Nandini .
Dhruv : we have seen you grown nandu so stop behaving so formal with us
Nandini : don't act so old you are just 1 year big
Cabir : mera angel best hai so dare you worry and everything will be fine
Nandini : I am not a angel you all are my angel's
Everyone just smiled at her comment
Here in Oberoi mansion
Shivaay : so should we post the letter
Anika : ya shiv we will post it but I feel we should post this letter to her office not to the house
Rudra : I completely agree with you bhabhi so I will post it in the ISRO office for Nandini
Omkara : yes now our princess will understand her bhai
They were completely unaware of the chaos in the office so they posted it in the ISRO office
Here , In the malhotra mansion
Everyone left soon after meeting Nandini as they knew that she is stressed and they should not bother her about breakfast and all
Nandini quickly called Kritika
Nandini : Hey kritika how is everything there ?
Kritika : Everything is a mess here Nandini. The storm seems to get only stronger with time and the INS ( Indian Navy ship) is still stuck in the stormy weather and is nowhere close to the spot ( there is a spot in Indian Ocean where the Navy ships are parked to monitor the rocket during launch ) . Moreover , the weather in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh is at its worst and it is not at all favourable for launch .....
Nandini : any positive signs ?
Kritika : none except for the fact that we have 8 buffer days and we can only hope for the weather to get better
Nandini : what does report from India Meteorological Department ( the department which controls weather forecast and everything ) says
Kritika : it says that the storm is not in a mood to subside
Nandini : could you mail me the report
Kritika : I will do it right away
Nandini : how is rakesh sir doing ?
Krtika : he is fine a bit hungover but still Ananth sir has taken him home
Nandini : so are you alone there ?
Kritika : no tara mam arrived in the morning only and as soon as varsha comes I will leave..
Nandini : ya you also need rest and you need to fresh up too . Do one thing call varsha and say that I am coming to the office early and she can come at 9
Kritika : ok I'll do that and will mail you the details .
Nandini : let's keep our hopes high
Kritika : my fingers are crossed
With this they ended the call and Nandini turned to find manik with a plate of breakfast and coffee
Manik : barfii come lets have breakfast
Nandini : I was talking to Kritika
Manik : I heard it
Manik fed Nandini the first bite of the omlet and then started sipping his coffee
Nandini : I need to go early as Kritika needs to go to her house
Manik : let's get over with the breakfast baby then I will drop you
Nandini : you have a meeting right ?
Manik : it's not important I will reschedule it
Nandini : no no you go to the meeting I will go with the driver
Manik : are you sure ?
Nandini : as sure as I can be
Manik just pecked her forehead and left to the wardrobe to get dressed
Nandini just wore her watch and checked Kritika's mails and got her stuff ready
Manik came out of the wardrobe fully dressed and then his eyes spotted the watch Nandini was wearing which reminded him of one of their most beautiful memories
Flashback
A 16 year old Nandini was going all hap hazard because of her first stage performance which she wanted to nail
Manik : Hey Nandu what are you doing
Nandini : manik what will I wear tommorow
Manik : jo apka man barfi
Nandini : stop calling me that I don't like it
Manik : okay fine
Nandini: should I braid my hairs or should I let them be open
Manik : jo apka man barfi
Manik said engrossed in his own world
Nandini clicked her fingers in front of him
Nandini : earth to you my friend
Manik: Nandu is this stage performance so important
Nandini : ofcourse it is
Manik : you know when I first performed on the stage I was 7 years old
Nandini : was it with fab 5
Before they could complete four people yelled from back
Four people : nhi hero ne dance kiya tha
Nandini : really mukti
Mukti : ya really baby..
Nandini : mukti you are just one year bigger than me so why do you all call me baby
Everyone : because you are like one
Nandini cheekily smiled
Nandini : you all really love me right ?
Manik : are yaar somebody stop this senti machine
Aliya : ayee no jokes about my angel
Dhruv : buddy why don't Nandini spend this night in vedant mansion . These girls can have their own time
Mukti : yess I will also stay there then . I really don't like going back home
Nandini : yayyyy
Manik : what yayyy and all shut up so for the 100 th time in this month I am saying this I found Nandini she is my friend and she will only stay with me and you all know I don't like this mansion empty it reminds me of those 6 months
Nandini : I am not going aur vaise bhi nobody is going . We all are gonna trouble this monster so much
Cabir : sounds like a plan to me
Manik : shut up idiot and miss " trouble all night " you need to sleep because tommorow is your first stage performance and sleep is important
Dhruv : buddy it is just a stage performance
Manik : but bro for her it is her first na
Cabir : yes bhaiyu ki angel will rest okay so we all should go to our lonely houses
Nandini : no mukti will stay with me and bhaiyu will accompany manik . Mera first friend needs to be with someone today so that he is not reminded of any bad memory
Dhruv : so only we are going home
Aliya hopped in the blanket
Aliya : I am in the bedddddddd
Dhruv : mai hi akela hun
Manik : ohhh devdas chal
With this they all left but in the night manik secretly came in Nandini room and kept the watch underneath her pillow
That was manik style of gifting and to his misconception Nandini didn't knew about it . He thought that Nandini doesn't know that it is he who keeps a gift for her underneath her pillow on every important event of her life
But Our 16 year old Nandini knew that our 17 year old manik is the one who keeps these gifts for her so that she feels overwhelmed when she gets up for any event
She loved the fact that how cool he would in the morning as if he doesn't care about gifts and all but in reality the only thing he cares about is gifts for her
