Sage got back from Vale after his meeting with Varu and his fight with BloodShot but he wondered, who was BloodShot's master? And what are their goals? Those questions are yet to be answered and another thing is the new power he used to finish off BloodShot, what WAS that power and why does he have it? He looks at his hands as he then mumbled, "This power, with this power, I can be a target to every evil in the world but why me of all people? Is it because I'm worthy? Or is it because I'm chosen?" He then tightly closed his fist as he keeps wondering why but he knows that he can't keep wondering why as he then took a deep breath and move on... for now.
He then grabs the groceries at the car and closes the top of the car and locks the doors and walks to his dorm to drop the groceries.
He then went to the cafeteria where his sisters are waiting for him, "Sage! Over here!" Ruby and Rosetta called their little brother as Sage then saw them and sits next to Ruby, "So, where were you all morning little bro?" Yang asked, "I just went to the park, having some alone time. Oh, and here you two." Sage then hands the two boxes of cookies to Ruby and Rosetta, "Thanks, Sage!"
"By the way, Sage, how are you able to buy food?" Weiss asks as everyone besides Rosetta and Yin looks at him as Sage then said, "Father." He simply answered making both RWBY and JNPR confused, "What he meant is, our father gave us 50,000 lien credit cards five years ago for our four-year adventure." Rosetta explained as the two teams understood then Nora began to telling her over-exaggerated story with Ren correcting her, "So there we were, in the middle of the night."
"It was day."
"We were surrounded by Ursai."
"They were Beowulves."
"Dozens of them!"
"Two of them."
"But they were no match and the end of the day, Ren and I made a boatload of Lien from Ursa skin rugs." Nora finished her story as she sits back down while crossing her arms with a proud expression. Sage did an amused whistle as Ren sighed as he then said, "She's had this recurring dream for months."
Sage looked at Jaune and he looked depressed as he is playing with his food, "Hey Jaune, you okay dude?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah I'm okay." Jaune did a fake smile but Sage can tell that it is fake, "It's Cardin, isn't it?" Pyrrha asked, "Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah, he just likes to mess around, you know practical jokes."
"Who's Cardin?" The Pure sisters asked in unison and Ruby then said, "He's a bully."
Jaune scoffs as he then said, "Oh please, name one time that he's bullied me?" He then nervously laughs as the two teams then heard a thud and saw Sage had a seemingly large book as he was going through pages, "Let see... Page 210, paragraph 4, Jaune is seen on the way to class as Cardin is going the other way down the hall. When the two passes, Cardin sways his arm into Jaune and making him drop his book, then continuing on his way with his hands out as if daring anyone to challenge him."
"Well..." Jaune tried to say something but Sage just continues, "Page 216, paragraph 10, Jaune and Cardin are about to pass through a doorway, but Cardin clicks on Jaune's sheath and extends it into its shield form as he was going out, causing him to run into his own defense and have it block the exit."
"You see I..."
"Page 220, paragraph 1, Professor GoodWitch was in the locker room with several students as she was explaining the lockers' function, "Each of you will be assigned one rocket-propelled locker to store your weapons and extra armor. Additionally, your locker can be sent to a custom location based on a six-digit code." Hearing this, Cardin looks at Jaune who is standing between him and the only open locker in the room and the cliché plays itself out as Cardin quickly pushes a shocked Jaune into the small dark space and closes the door on him. Jaune tried to plead Cardin to open the locker but instead helping him, he puts a random 6-digit code as the locker, with Jaune inside, got launched up in the air as Cardin watched the locker flies out of the window with a proud look on his face." Sage finished as he closes the book and looks at Jaune and the others are now focused on Jaune, "I didn't land far from the school."
"Doesn't matter, that kind of behavior is unacceptable especially for a future huntsman."
"Jaune, you know if you ever need help, you can just ask," Pyrrha told her partner as Nora then stood up and said, "Oh! We'll break his legs!"
"I like the way you think!" Sage agrees with her as he and Nora reached across the table to high five, "Guys, it's fine really! It's not like he's just a jerk to me, he's a jerk to everyone!"
"That's not making it any better." They then heard a British female voice squeal in pain, "Ow, that hurts!" They looked over to see Cardin and his team bullying a bunny Faunus with Cardin pulling her bunny ear, "Please, stop!" She pleads but Cardin and his team still laugh at her Faunus heritage, "Okay, that's it! If no one's gonna help her then I will!" Sage stood up and began walking towards them while Blake and Yang tried to stop him, to no avail.
"Sage! Don't!"
"Sage!" Sage continues to walk towards the bullies while they laughed at the bunny's pain, "I told you it was real." Russel shooks his head then said, "What a freak."
"Hey! What's the big idea!?" Team CRDL looked over at Sage and scoffs at him, "Well, look what we have here boys, It's a little brat who is trying to become a hero!" The rest of his team laughs at him but Sage is unaffected, "Well If you must know "little hero" we're just having a little fun with the freak here."
Cardin then roughly tugs the bunny's ear, "OW!"
"Well, she doesn't seem to like it, now let. her. go!" Sage told him while Cardin doesn't give a shit as then smirks and asks, "Or what?" Sage walked up to him and did the 'Sonic Flare'(The skill card from Sonic Battle) on him as he got launched all the way to the cafeteria exit, "Or that!" Cardin struggles to stand up and by this time, the entire cafeteria is rooting for Sage, "Alright now you've done it. I'll gonna send you back to your mommy in stitches!" Cardin threatens Sage as the blue rose just pretends to yawns out of boredom making Cardin angrier as he rushes to Sage and was about to punch him but he was stopped by a hand grabbing Cardin's wrist, they looked over and saw Shadow holding the bully's wrist while squeezing it, "I don't think so."
Shadow lifted Cardin up and slammed him on the ground. Russel runs at Shadow to punch him only to be punched in the face and knocked unconscious. Dove and Sky try to intervene and take him together but Shadow grabbed the back of their heads and forced them to headbutt each other, knocking them out too. Cardin tried to stand up only to be met with Shadow's foot on his chest, "Now, listen here Karen."
"It's Cardin!" Cardin corrected him but Shadow ignored him and told him with a death glare, "Shut up! I've been here for almost twelve years, I've seen plenty of teams come and go but I've never seen a team more pathetic than yours. I'm only going to tell you this once if you ever mess with these kids again, I'm gonna shove my foot so far in your ass that'll come out through your mouth!" He then removes his foot up, letting him go, "Now, get out of here!" And in an instant, Cardin and his team quickly exited the cafeteria and Sonic came in after CRDL left the cafeteria, "Thanks, uncle." Sage thanked his edgy uncle as Shadow looks at his nephew and gives him a head pat.
"Geez, what happened back there?" Sonic asked as approaches the two and just before Sage can answer that, the doors fling open and an angry Glynda GoodWitch walked in, "Sonic! Shadow!"
Sonic then said, "And here comes the mom." There were a few laughs but Glynda was not amused, "You two are coming with me." She then pointed her wand towards Sonic and Shadow and puts them in a levitating purple bubble, "Ah C'mon Glynda!! I didn't even do anything!"
"Nonetheless, you're still coming with me!" Glynda countered back and Sonic got defeated as he slouches in defeat while Shadow just did his usual pose, "I hope they don't get in too much trouble." Sage hoped as he watched his two uncles getting carried away by his combat teacher. He then changes his focus to the bunny Faunus as he then asked, "Are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah, t-thank you." She thanked her rescuer, "Hey, no problem, I'm Sage, Sage Rose Pure by the way."
"I'm V-Velvet, Velvet Scarlatina."
"Well Velvet, wanna hang out sometime?" Sage offered and it made Velvet blush a bit, "S-Sure, that'll be great." Sage smiles as he then looks over at RWBY, JNPR, and SPR looking at them smiling and they look proud of what he did, "Well Velvet, I gotta go. See ya." He then walks back to his table, "Well, I'm proud of you Sage, It's about time someone puts in his place." Yin and Yang compliment him as Ruby and Rosetta rushes over to Sage and hugs him, "Yeah! Baby Brother is a hero!"
"You got that right!" Nora agrees as everyone made it known that they were proud of Sage for standing up to Cardin like that. Sage then sat down next to Ruby as she and Rosetta hug him instantly the moment he sat down. He then thinks about Varu, something about her made him feel something inside his chest, her good looks, her sweet, innocent persona, her smile makes him smile, "I wonder what Varu is doing right now?"
"Who's Varu?" Weiss asked making Sage a little pale with a noticeable blush on his face, "Ooooohhhh~ Little brother met a pretty lady~" Yin and Yang teased their little brother as Sage then covers himself with his hood while blushing hard from embarrassment, "Shut up!!" He shouted at his two blond sisters for them to stop but they just kept going, "Who's this girl you met?"
"Was she pretty?"
"Is she cute?"
"Did she gave you her scroll number?"
Sage couldn't handle the teasing anymore as he then said, "I'm gonna make a new weapon myself! Be right back!" He then zooms out of the cafeteria while Yin and Yang laughs at their little brother's embarrassment, "You two just took too far." Blake scolded the blond twins, "Ah c'mon Blake, we're just teasing."
"Yeah, it what big sisters are supposed to do!"
"I wonder what kind of weapon he's building?" Ruby and Rosetta wondered.
With Varu...
The female Hedgehog Faunus was walking down the street while thinking about Sage and yet, she still wonders why did he protected her? Was it out of Pity? Mercy? Feel sorry for her? Well, whatever it is, he somehow made her safe and made her smile like she was doing right now, "Sage, thank you."
Meanwhile at Ninja Rose dimension...
At the Beacon training grounds, Y/n was training his ninja skills like his swordsmanship, throwing shurikens and knives at the wooden dummies, dodging bullets from robots shooting him to train his reflexes. While he was training, Mystik and Slayer walked in and saw Y/n training his skills as they are proud of him as Mystik then stop him by calling his name, "Y/N!!" The young ninja stop his training and look at his two guardians, "Mystik! Slayer! What's up?"
"Your mom invited us to picnic and asked us to bring you with." Mystik explained as Y/n has stars in his eyes as he then quickly said, "THENWHATAREWEWAITINGFOR?!?!LET'SGONOW!!" He quickly ran past them and the guardians followed suit.
Meanwhile at the outside, a man with a black cloack with his face covering by his hood, was watching Y/n and the two guardians walking towards an airship, "So, this one has a little brother too. Let's see if two entities with different experience fight each other and to make this interesting, Sage has to come here." He snarled at Sage's name with venom as he then said, "That brat! He was able to defeat BloodShot! BloodShot was one of the best of the best and he was beaten by a child! I have to find a way to kill that brat by watching him fight his other self." He then teleported out of sight as the airship can be seen flying, leaving Beacon and headed to Patch as the screen faded to black.
