( LYDIA BLAKE )
TWO: UNUSUAL ACTIONS
"there's something about you lydia blake"
17th october 1994
"you're all packed right?" lydia asked the group of 6, herself included, as they stood in the hufflepuff common room with their bags or suitcases for the weekend at the girls house. sharon, tyler and daniel all being too tired to say anything. tyler sat on the couch half asleep with sharon leaning her head on the boys shoulder as she as well began to doze off.
daniel stood behind the two with his arms crossed and his and sharon's bags on his arms and the spare pillows under his arms, he was only holding the bag since the girl would probably forget it. elena was sat on the single chair looking at lydia who stood next to cedric at the fireplace.
"me, cedric and elena will go first and then daniel, sharon an tyler since tyler doesn't know where he's going" lydia explained to the group before shutting her journal and smiling.
"ready?" she asked as she picked up her small bag beside her considering she had clothes at home and handing it to cedric to hold for her knowing he'd take it with no questions asked.
all of the friends nodded before the first three went underneath of the fireplace and grabbed a handful of floo powder each before saying lydia's address loud and clear, them then being transported into a modern but luxurious living room.
"home sweet home!" elena squealed with a smile before running out and putting her suitcase by the door of the living room and falling back onto the longest chair. cedric looked around with wide eyes as he slowly walked out taking his time to take the whole room in. lydia walked out with a small smile as she left the room probably to find her parents.
cedric's awe was paused as the other three arrived, sharon not even looking around before falling next to elena on the chair and sleeping. daniel walked out of the room as well with the bags he held and tyler was left standing next to cedric taking in the luxurious room.
"ah, so you must be the two young men that made friends with my daughter" a strong british accent said aloud as a man who looked to be in his late 30's entered the room with a smirk, he was dressed in suit jeans and a white button up shirt. he had dirty blonde hair, stubble and bright blue eyes which were almost exactly the same as lydia's.
"uncle noah!" elena exclaimed happily as she shot up from the chair and climbed over the back to crush the man into a hug. tyler and cedric were quite shocked to see the most responsible girl alongside hermione granger acting so recklessly.
"'lena! darling, how've you been? you've grown so much" the man smiled as he watched the girl spin in her dress she was wearing. he wasn't wrong, the last time noah blake had seen elena cooper was around a year ago when she was still fourteen.
"i've been amazing, i'm a prefect still so that's good" she smiled as she began to ramble on about the year, the man looking fully interested in what she was saying before he noticed the two boys standing to the side as still as stones.
"one moment" he said to elena making the girl nod before walking out of the room probably to find camille. "you two where's sharon and daniel?" the man asked the two boys who shook themselves out of their states to answer.
tyler pointed to the couch and cedric pointed to the door before the man leaned over the chair to see sharon asleep and nodding to cedric. the man shook the girl awake slightly before she begrudgingly opened her eyes and smiling slightly.
"noah" she said before giving the man a one armed hug and he chuckled before gesturing her the way to the door, her getting up and nodding before going to sleep in lydia's room as usual.
"so which one of you lads is cedric?" noah asked his voice completely shifting to one of seriousness as he turned to the teenagers, them freezing before tyler pointed to cedric quickly. a silence settled over the room before noah chuckled and opened his arms "welcome to the family" he said giving the boy a hug before also giving tyler one.
"the family?" cedric asked slightly confused although still smiling not wanting to give lydia's dad the impression that he felt uncomfortable.
"i hear from sharon that you and my daughter have been a sort of item per say" the man hinted not wanting to share what sharon had written about the two still unsure whether they had made things official.
"noah! stop hounding them" a female voice with a slight accent scolded as a beautiful women with long brown hair, a very carved nose, hazel/greenish eyes walked in. she was most definitely lydia's mum, the similarities were there.
"welcome, i'm camille. lydia's mum" the women introduced as her french accent became much more noticeable the more words she spoke.
"mum" "dad" lydia's embarrassed voice called out at the same time that daniel's overly joyed one spoke. the older hufflepuff taking off to her dads arms before the two embraced eachother as though it had been years.
"i was just telling your father to back off" camille laughed as she walked over next to lydia, wrapping an arm around her daughters shoulder before lydia soon dropped her head to lean on her mums shoulder.
"there's some breakfast layed out in the dining room if you kids are hungry, don't be shy to ask for anything you need" camille said with a motherly smile as she led everyone to the dining room cedric guessed.
as they moved through the large spacious halls cedric couldn't help but stare at all of the family pictures and the expensive looking paintings which hung over every area, the obvious wealth being unavoidable. there were multiple pictures of lydia, noah and camille and more of lydia and two blonde girls, one looking maybe a few years older than herself and the other younger. there were even the few scattered photos of lydia, elena and sharon and two of daniel and lydia.
when they arrived in the dining room they could see elena already filling up her breakfast plate with multiple fruits and mixing two different kinds of cereals together in a bowl not seeming to care that one was fruit flavoured and the other chocolate.
"you're disgusting" daniel commented as he took a place beside the girl making her shin him with her right elbow making the boy let out a low groan. noah only laughed at the two as though they were his own children.
in a way they were. noah and camille blake had basically taken in daniel, elena and sharon since lydia started hogwarts the children all having a place at the blake manor whenever they wanted. they would never need to ask to visit and were allowed to just show up whenever they needed.

cedric had already dropped his things off in the guest room he'd be staying in and found out that lydia's room was directly across his. he was still quite shocked at how much money the family had knowing they were rich but not this rich.
he made his way across the hall and knocked lightly on lydia's door not receiving a reply before knocking again. when no one answered he twisted the door handle to see it was unlocked and cautiously made his way into the room silently to see lydia unpacking her clothes which were on her bed. a mischievous grin overtook his features as he quickly ran up to the girl and tackled her onto her bed.
a yelp left lydia's lips from the shock she got not expecting anyone to come into her room, her body was pressed into her sheets and cedric towered over her with a wicked grin finding amusement in her current state. both of his arms on either side of the girls body trapping her, her hands on his shoulder. their breaths grew heavier as they released the compromising position they were in.
cedric didn't know what overtook him in that moment, or maybe he did. but as his eyes flickered between her eyes that he loved so much and her plump shiny lips and all he wanted to do was kiss her. obviously, he'd thought of kissing her whenever feeling her lips on his cheek but he'd never acted on the urge.
lydia blake couldn't help the way her heartbeat sped up whenever she was around cedric and the way all she could think about was him when he wasn't around. she blamed it on their close friendship but she knew deep down it was because she was deeply in love with the boy.
and without either of them releasing they had both begun to lean into eachother, their breaths mingling and their lips centimetres apart before lydia heard footsteps come into her room and sharon's shocked gasp reach her ears. she acted as quick as ever then and pushed cedric's body off of hers and made sure he landed next to her
"it's not what it looks like!" lydia suddenly protested as she shot up into a sitting position ignoring sharon's eyes once seeing the overly giddy look that the ravenette had on her face. sharon felt like a complete and utter idiot for ruining the moment that she had been waiting for but couldn't help but look between the two.
"it's not?" sharon and cedric asked at the same time, sharon not sounding like she believed lydia and cedric with a sort of amused tone in his voice considering how quick her instincts kicked in to push him off her.
"well, i don't know! you, out!" lydia said in confusion as she kept changing her gaze from sharon to cedric before yelling at her bestfriend to get out. which she did but not before sending the two a thumbs up.
lydia ignored cedric's smug grin besides her as he held himself up on his elbow looking directly at the side of the girls face. she cursed herself for having pale skin as she felt a blush spread throughout her whole face. her body flinging itself back onto her bed before rolling over so her face was no longer looking at him.
cedric let out a chuckle at the girl before shaking his head, his hand finding a place on her lower back making a shiver rack her whole body. cedric knew this could ruin everything but thought he may as well try as his lips found the back of her neck for a second, his heartbeat probably as loud as lydia's now.
a sound mixed between pleasure and annoyance left her lips alerting the boy that the effort he just made was successful. he continued to litter small soft kisses to the back of her neck before small giggles began to leave her lips as she turnt her body around. the boy looking down at her with a look full of admiration and glee in his eyes.
lydia couldn't just let the boy get away with the stunt he pulled and placed her fingers around the back of his neck making his eyebrows rise in quick shock before his seemingly calm façade took over again. her slowly pulling the boy down so that his jaw was now close enough for her to place her lips on. she dragged her lips from the top of it close enough to his chin before releasing him and throwing him off her.
the looks of delight that the boy had at the action wiping off his face quick as he saw the girl get up and continue packing her clothes away as if nothing had happened. he blinked a few times before opening his mouth like a fish out of water.
"really?" he asked with a slight bit of disappointment before falling back onto her bed again making her chuckle and only shake her head at his childishness. but, nothing she could do would make her forget the way his lips felt on the back of her neck.
lydia blake was monumentally fucked in that moment as she know knew that she had cedric diggory's undivided attention and affection and that the boy held the key to her heart. she wouldn't tell him that though, but deep down she knew he already had a clue.
