Y/n sat alone on the floor of the pod contemplating weather the lady on the radio would actually ever come to help him or if she had lied
They wait and wait until near dark something hits the side of the pod with a loud bang
What was that!? Some kind of monster?! A hungry animal?!
???: DIRTY FECKER!
A loud voice shouted, even loud enough to be heard inside the pod then some kind of roar
Y/n closed their eyes and covered their ears trying to block it all out, but when it was again quite a knock came from the top of the pod, was it safe?
The child worked up what little courage they had and slowly climbed the latter to the top and opened the porthole
Y/n: h-hello
???: aye, ya mind lettin me in?
Y/n turned to look at the woman hanging on to the side of the pod, she had bright red hair, green eyes and an Irish accent that made her a little difficult to understand
Y/n just nodded and got out of her way so she could drop from the top of the pod to the floor inside with a bang
???: ow.....my feckin head....what I wouldn't give for a pint right now
She looked at y/n
???: yer a bit younger then I thought, who'd leave a kid all by yer lonesome ?
Y/n: m-my parents were ....trying to s-save me, then....the blast
???: oh....their, sorry kid....I uh....Feck
She sighed
???: what's yer name again?
Y/n: I'm y/n Mercer
Nessa: I'm Nessa O'Ceallaigh
She said as she outstretched a hand to the child for them to shake
Y/n couldn't even pronounce the last name but shook her hand hesitantly
Y/n: nice to meet you
Nessa: you to
She winced and looked down to the blood pooling beneath her
Nessa: oh ya.....I'm bleedin ta death
