The human wiped her face a bit, feeling sweat dripping down it. Silently curing the sun for being so hot today. Being a bit confused as to why she seemed to be the only one sweating the whole time. Remembering asking Bill if he too was hot but he seemed perfectly fine.
"Can't take a little heat?"
Juno practically sung her words, obviously enjoying seeing the girl working her ass off. And, on top of that, sweating up a storm while doing so.
"I haven't passed out yet have I?"
"Maybe not, but you sure do smell"
A red hue of embarrassment crawled upon the girls face. Almost as if she had completely forgotten how just about every beast here had a better nose than her. They'd surely be able to smell her if she really did smell bad.
And, seeing the girls redness, the wolf found herself smiling. An inner win is what it felt like to her. But it was shortly ended by someone else coming into the conversation.
"I-I read in a book that h-humans sweat instead of pant. It's natural for her....and she doesn't smell bad t-to me at least"
'Why now!?'
The female wolf screamed to herself. She was just at the start of her road to embarrass the human and Legosi decided to step in. To once again save the girl from whatever the wolf was trying to do and re-assure her. Juno hated it.
"R-Really? I never knew that, you're so smart Legosi!"
"I-it's really nothing...I-I just thought I'd learn a-as much as I could about h-humans"
[F/n] saw right through Juno's words. She was simply once again trying to battle the girl for his attention. In all honesty, the human didn't care for any of those games. They were a waste of time in her mind. Just interact with them how you normally would.
And yet the human still decided to human the female wolf. A smile coming back to her face as she turned to Legosi. Watching his tail wag behind him as her eyes met his.
"You did that all for me, right Legosi? Thank you so much it means a lot to me"
'Of course'
Juno hissed in her mind, watching as the wolf she was attracted to stared lovingly at the human. Taking in every little word she said and multiplying the meaning tenfold. She couldn't blame him too much though, she somewhat did the same for him.
She was about to say another comment when she moved her eyes elsewhere. Standing away from them all but staring intensely at the scene was the familiar deer. His eyes seeming to narrow at the three of them.
More specifically, at Legosi.
'Don't tell me...'
The girl paid a little more attention and watched his eyes move a bit before going back to Legosi. They had been going right over to the human. Staring at her just as he did at Legosi and clearly disliking the scene in front of him.
'He likes...her'
A sudden sour taste had flowed through the Carnivore's mouth. The human clearly already had a popular deer chasing after her heart. Why couldn't that just be enough for her? Did she want everyone to fall in love with her?
'It's all because she's a human'
The wolf would be lying if she said she wasn't slightly jealous of the girls appearance. Wondering if she too was human, would she get the same treatment. Everyone seemed to be very open and welcoming to the girl. And yet Juno was out-cased when she was younger.
Beasts alike would always try to steer away from her because she was a 'big bad wolf' and just though for herself. Just wanted to eat the herbivores that she tried to befriend. But somehow [F/n] only wanted to make friends.
And to think that it was all because she was HUMAN. Every little thing handed to her was because she was different, to the world it seemed like a good kind.
"I need to get back to practice"
She smiled and bid farewell to the both of them. Sure it would make the girl confused, especially after challenging her face to face but she didn't care. Being more wrapped up in her head about the girl more so than before.
A human was like a shiny new toy, everyone just wanted to see it and touch it. Pass it around a bit possibly as well. No one really wanted it. Who would ever want to keep something so unknown. Everyone was seemingly looking over the fact that no one really knew what they were capable of.
Only ever seeing them, mostly, from folk-tale's. The one in specific Juno remembered called them the 'Reapers'. Saying that humans are like the demons they fear when they die. How they used to kill all sorts of animals and eat them. Use their fur for coats despite not truly needing them.
'Why doesn't anyone else see it!?'
The carnivore disliked [F/n] heavily from the moment they met one another. Actually, she hated her even before then. The rumors that spiraled around about a kind and beautiful human and hit her deep. That hatred only growing once she met Legosi.
Remembering that the first few times she attempted to speak with him they somehow always got onto the subject of the girl. Whether it was 'she would've saved you too' or 'you'll love her' it seemed as if the older wolf never stopped rambling about her.
'She could be the end of us all'
She theorized, thinking that if the tales were true that she should have no problem killing them off. Even if it was slowly she'd still be able to. No one would even know to stop it. There's no way the police would think a 'kind human' would be able to kill so many.
"Juno? Where are you going?"
Turning her head down she was met with her familiar white furred friend. Els was staring up at her with concern in her eyes. Showing her obvious emotions towards the wolf.
"I was just walking away from Legosi and [F/n]"
"Really? You look...distressed"
"That's because I am"
It was better for her to just tell the herbivore. Maybe then she'd be on her side about the whole thing, she was in danger after all. Her life would be so much easier to end than a carnivore's, so she should be one of the top priorities.
"It's just...[F/n] can strike at any time, she's an omnivore, meaning both plants and animals"
"Is that all?"
The girl had sudden stopped her speech. She was readying to go on even more about the problems with the human before she was stopped. Her mind not registering that this herbivore in front of her knew [F/n] for longer than she had.
And, on top of that, had only gotten kindness from the girl like everyone else. She'd have no reason to doubt her for any reason. Even with all of that, it still wasn't the reason she stopped the wolf's talk.
"Juno...saying something like that...I would think you'd be the last person to say that."
"Why? She's dangerous"
"Saying that, it's just like what herbivores say about carnivores isn't it?"
The Angora goat smiled up at her friend.
"[F/n] is a really sweet person. Talking to her is very nice and she makes me feel safe, along with others in the club. I know she's different but that isn't any reason not to trust her"
'She already got to her'
It was as if Juno wasn't actually listening to what was being said. Instead she seemed to focus on how she wasn't being agreed with. Writing it off as the fact that [F/n] had already tainted their minds and fooled them when she couldn't be further from the truth.
"We should probably get back to practice, you're the main star after all"
"Mhm, sorry for me being saying that I just want to protect everyone"
She said the words so easily, no one would be able to tell that they were fake. The rest of the school? She didn't really care about them. Her image is all that matters, she'd get to the top and once she did she'd make sure that all Humans were gone. That there was no chance of them being left.
'You'll be the first one, [F/n]'

"Everyone left?"
The girl questioned, staring ahead of her to only see Legosi. The wolf had decided to stick behind for obvious reasons. Eyeing her up while everyone else began to head out, including Louis. One of the many times the male saw how he didn't deserve the human.
If he really loved her he would make sure she was safe. Not leave her behind just because he was meant to lead the charge. Legosi would never do that to her.
"Y-Yeah...I saw you didn't leave so-"
"So you stayed behind right? Thanks Legosi"
In that moment [F/n] couldn't help but feel very grateful. Finding herself very uncomfortable whenever someone wasn't around her at all times. The internet told her it was 'PTSD' from her little black market incident but she didn't think it was that big a deal.
So having the male stay behind for her was great. Feeling as if, had he not, she would've just sat there until someone did come. Or she would've thought to call either Louis or Oguma.
"We can get going now, sorry for holding you up"
"Y-You could never! Hold me up...this is"
The girl found herself smiling and began to walk next to the male. His presence along giving her comfort as they walked through the darkened streets to the train. Knowing she wasn't going to miss how mysterious it was there at night.
"Did you get a lot of the dinosaur done?"
"Y-Yes, I painted a lot of it earlier when..."
The wolf couldn't help but have flashbacks between the girl and Louis. Having to remember how gently he seemed to touch her. And just how fine she was with him doing so, almost as if it was an everyday thing that the two did together.
Behind closed doors.
"When you and Louis were..."
This sentence startled the girl. Immediately knowing what he was talking about, the girl thought they shouldn't do anything like that in broad daylight and she was right. To think that of all beasts Legosi was the one who saw it.
"I-It's wasn't-"
"Hey [F/n],"
The two of them, by now, had made it to the train station. Both currently standing near the edge of the platform waiting for the train to come by. When she looked away from the lowered part of the tracks, she met the wolf's eyes.
Staring at how widened they had become, holding a hidden emotion behind them that scared her half to death. A familiar feeling she'd felt long ago. Not even that long ago now that she was thinking about it, rather recently this same aura had taken over her.
But it wasn't time to think about that. Instead she had to focus on the wolf that was now standing over her. Staring down at her as he somewhat growled out at her.
"What's Louis to you?"
