"Hey."
"Hey."
"Can I take you on a date?"
"No."
"Why."
"Because you're on tour."
"No I'm not."
"Yes you are."
"Not uh."
"Yeah huh."
"But can I take you on a date?"
"You don't even have to ask Tae."
There was a knock on her door and Rebecca almost dropped her phone. "Hold on someone is at the door." She kept the call on, hoping the visitor would be quick so she could go back to her argument with her boyfriend.
She opened the door and dropped her phone, jumping into Taehyung's arms. "Oh my God!" She cried out, hugging him tightly, Taehyung laughing and hugging her as well. "You're here!"
-- here's a different scenario because i can't make my mind up --
"This is minute ten of me driving to Becca's." Taehyung glanced at his phone while he drove. He was on VLive, a nice little surprise for ARMY, and so he could remember this moment. "I'm so excited!!"
"I bought her coffee at the airport becuase she loves coffee." Taehyung did a little dance, beyond pumped to see her. "And I have a bunch of things from the guys because they miss her as well." Taehyung chuckled to himself. "I think Jungkook has like, ten different ramens for her to try. Yoongi has a binder full of music he wants her to learn and Namjoon has an album full of pressed flowers and pictures of nature."
"I don't remember the others though, but I know she'll like it." Taehyung put the car in park, sitting back in his seat. "Why am I nervous?" He hugged himself with a smile, looking up at her house. "I hope Spots tackles me." Taehyung unbuckled and glanced at the camera. "Spots is one of her dogs-oh I can't wait to see Berlin!! I hope he's learned how to get around. Berlin is blind, by the way."
Taehyung held up a bouquet of flowers. "They're fake because she's allergic. Big brain move on my part."
"Oh I hope she is in like, sweatpants and no make-up on. If she's wearing a bun in her hair I might die." Taehyung walked up the steps to the porch. "Here's her door-"
The door opened, revealing Rebecca holding her phone. Taehyung could hear his voice through her phone, his VLive playing on her phone.
"I ...." Taehyung didn't know what to say, not planning on her watching his VLive. "Surprise?"
Rebecca smiled and ran forward, hugging him tightly. "I can't believe you acutally came!"
-- back to the plot --
(VLive is ended as well)
"Thank you so much." Rebecca hugged Taehyung, both inside now. "Such short notice and your tour is just about to start as well."
"I wish I could do better than three days." Taehyung held her just as tight, his eyes closed.
"No no this is absolutely beyond perfect." Rebecca reassured him, kissing his cheek, both still hugging. "I saw you, what, two weeks ago?"
Yes, it is December 20th, a little less than two weeks and Rebecca had made her decision regarding her parents.
She would try and reconnect as well.
They were her parents after all ,, and all she's ever wanted in life was to be loved and accepted by them.
Even after all of those years of being hurt by them.
She had asked Taehyung if he had any free time before he went on tour and he said it depended. When she said her parents wanted to meet him ... he made time.
"Two weeks too many." Taehyung hugged her tighter. "We're snuggling all night, got it? Movies until we pass out."
"We haven't cuddled in a while." Rebecca agreed, the two tripping over each other's feet as they walked to the couch refusing to let go of each other.
Rebecca laid on Taehyung's stomach, both head's turned towards the TV as they watched movies of all different genres, excluding horror and nonfiction stuff. For the first time, Taehyung was the one to fall asleep first. With the 13 hour time change, he needed the rest.
She's turned off the TV now, Spots and Berlin asleep in their dog beds.
Taehyung smiled in his sleep, half awake as she repeated 'i love you' over and over in Korean until she fell asleep.
The two really need to move in together.

Taehyung insisted on helping with the drive to her parent's house. They left at three am, switiching at eight am so Taehyung could sleep, and then he drove again the final hour.
Rebecca was a lot more open to this whole reuniting thing than Taehyung was. Over the many calls and cries Rebecca had with him, everything she told him about her parents were upsetting. And he was not happy with it.
"So I have an idea." Taehyung spoke up, ten minutes from her parent's house.
"Oh boy." Rebecca turned off her phone, giving Taehyung her attention.
"It's a harmless prank that I saw on TikTok."
"Oh no." Rebecca laughed softly upon hearing TikTok.
"What if I like, finger you, and then shake your father's hand."
Rebecca blinked a few times.
"No."
"But-"
"You're trying to ease your nerves, I understand." Rebecca nodded, Taehyung taking a right hand turn, the scenery around her very familiar.
"I'm not-" Taehyung tried, but Rebecca didn't let him continue.
"You're blinking more than normal." She looked over at him, Taehyung chewing on the inside of his cheek. "You're nervous."
"It's just," Taehyung sighed, feeling a bit guilty at his next words. "Last time I saw them, they didn't exactly accept me." He felt guilty becuase that's how her parents have treated her her whole life. And he's scared after one meeting, Rebecca barely batting an eye after 18 plus years of it.
"Well they're going to have to." Rebecca nodded, crossing her arms, memories coming back to her as her hometown surrounded her. "I'll tell them how well you treat me, and if that doesn't work ... well, then we're saying you're a millionaire."
Taehyung nodded, Rebecca slipping her hand in with his as they pulled into her driveway. "You're nervous?"
"I'm just nervous my dad will hit me in front of you." She mumbled, unable to tear her eyes off of her house.
"What?!" Taehyung unbuckled, eyebrows pressed together in worry.
"Yeah.." Rebecca looked down as Taehyung cupped her cheek. She took a shaky breath and looked him in the eyes.
"No no." He kissed her forehead. "I won't let him hurt you."
Rebecca nodded, looking down again. "How do I look?" She smoothed out her sweater, adjusting the waist band on her jeans as well, her fingers pulling at her hair as well.
Taehyung smiled softly, pulling her hands down from her face. "You look beautiful."
"My parents don't like it when people call me Becca, so try to call me Rebecca, okay?" Rebecca spoke as they walked up to her house. "And you probably shouldn't kiss me either because I don't-" She slipped on black ice, grabbing onto Taehyung's forearm in an attempt to balance herself again.
But Taehyung was holding their overnight back, not expecting to be pulled off balance so he too slipped on some ice. Both of them fell onto the ground, laughing as they just laid there for a bit.
Rebecca was the first to stand, still laughing as she helped Taehyung to his feet, him still slipping on the ice. He was a little dramatic and accidently pulled them to the ground again, Rebecca getting a face full of snow. She threw a handful of snow at Taehyung him laughing as he tried to whack it away, but still getting hit.
"Rebecca!"
Both Taehyung and Rebecca froze, staring at the woman standing in the front door.
It was her mom.
