"ZACH YOU SERIOUSLY NEED A GIRLFRIEND." athena noted as the two of them walked into the bakery next to them. the pair were out shopping for presents for when little baby avery arrived but zach got hungry so they decided to stop for food.
"no i don't." the boy shrieked defending himself as he raised his eyebrows, placing a hand to his heart while simultaneously shoving athena to the side.
"zach hun, you've been flirting with me for years. it's never gonna happen." the duo stopped in line, the silver haired girl pinching zach's cheek just like the compliment battle interview.
zach began swatting away her hands rappidly as the two engaged in a mini cat fight in the middle of a bakery. what great fun that was, as everyone glanced at them as if they were crazy but the duo didn't mind.
after a momentary fight the pair stopped and just casually waited in line, they got to the front and bought zach a brownie before athena got a text requesting coffee to be brought to the studio for the rest of the boys so then they began making their way towards starbucks.
"ooh!" zach squealed on their way into the coffee shop making athena snort and people turn to look at them before zach sent each and every person a glare and they turned away.
"what've you seen." athena sighed crossing her arms over her chest and turning around to look where zach was glancing and saw a shop.
"there's a hoodie in there i really really really want! please can i go get it please!!" he began pleading, sticking out his bottom lip and attempting to do puppy dog eyes which made athena laugh.
"i'm not your mother zachary no need to ask." she laughed patting his shoulder and spinning him around as she joined the back of the queue.
"you and daniel are my parents though." he muttered under his breathe in a sing song tone but thena didn't hear him.
"i'll meet you back at the car." she waved him
off as the boy broke into a run legging it out of the coffee shop and into the store opposite.
"jonah i am not going to get you an extra coffee!" athena shouted, her phone was resting on her shoulder which was shrugged upwards holding the device to her ear, she was carrying a tray with four starbucks coffees in her hands while trying to open the door to the shop.
"athena listen, i need my daily dosage of coffee!" jonah exclaimed from the other end of the phone line, the girl rolling her eyes at the boy and his coffee addiction. it was not healthy and something he needed serious help with at this point.
"yes jonah your daily dosage. not a monthly supply. you have enough energy as it is-" athena began explaining as she was walking through the mall but unfortunately for her somebody ran into her body sending her straight to the floor.
spilling the coffee all over herself and shattering her phone screen in the process. "fuck." athena scolded lifting her hand up and shaking the hot coffee off of her.
"oh my god i'm so sorry!" the girl frantically began apologising as she waved her hands around attempting to find something to help clean athena with.
"you're totally fine love don't worry about it." athena smiled in reassurance. she could tell by the look on the blonde girls face that she didn't mean to run into her nor have her spill the coffee and so she didn't really mind.
"no it's not okay- that looks like a really expensive top as well and of course not to mention that's your coffee gone." the blonde shook her head at herself letting it fall into her hands.
athena hopped off the floor grabbing a napkin and dabbing it against the fabric of the shirt she was wearing. it was actually one of daniels so he probably wouldn't be too happy with her but that wasn't important yet.
"no no you're fine love don't worry." athena comforted, wrapping her arms around the girl
who immediately hugged back.
"i'm sorry. i just. uh my day has been utter shit." the blonde tried to laugh away her pain as she wiped the tears that had fallen.
"i was late for work and got shouted at and then when i was baking i burnt the cake and made my boss even more mad and-"
"wait where do you work?" athena raised an eyebrow as she asked the question, bending down to pick up the now empty coffee cups
and throw them away.
"the little bakery just down there." the girl
chuckled pointing down the street to show the bakery athena and zach had been in earlier that day.
"you work there!" athena questioned, her mouth wide open in shock. "um yeah." the girl sheepishly smiled running her hands up and down her arms.
"i was there earlier with my-" athena began talking an idea quickly striking in her mind. "-with my friend. the stuff in there is amazing." she finished her sentence with a smile on her face as the blonde in front of her began to blush.
"thank you." she muttered, looking down at the floor.
"i'm athena." the silver haired girl introduced herself quickly looking up from examining her now slightly smashed phone.
i could ask dani- no. then the fans will call me even more of a clout chaser. the girl began thinking quickly shaking the thoughts from her head. she would also figure that out later.
"i'm yarel." the blonde introduced herself.
"okay this might be a weird question but are you single-" thena asked with a raised eyebrow. "uhm yeah....." yarel trailed off in confusion as athena gasped realising what that sounded like.
"oh no!! i just have a friend who's single. he's a he. i just thought you'd look cute together-" she elaborated as yarel's face formed an 'o' now understanding.
"oh cool." she nodded.
"i hate to be a pain but i have to go before my friends friend kills me for not getting him his coffee." thena sighed barely just making out the time on her phone.
"i'm sorry about that again-" yarel tried to apologise before athena shushed her. "stop. worrying." she smiled.
"maybe i can get your number and buy you a replacement-" yarel offered as the silver haired girl nodded in agreement.
"oh for sure. here let me type it in." she offered tucking her own phone under her arm
and adding herself as a contact.
"okay well i'll text you soon. have a good day!" athena smiled walking off attempting to figure out what she was gonna say to the boys when she turned up with no coffee.
"you too."
