Post-revolution script, written by Dr. Maxwell Horizon eight (8) days after the siege of the White House.
The country is thrown into a civil feud. The lower class already made Noah Canner a national hero, drunk on the idea of a democratic system where they get a say in their own lives. Miss Bronze says he is fighting for an unattainable utopia. Still she hasn't done anything I know of to stop him. She might believe he is the best chance to take down the Middle School test. Maybe she's still waiting to choose side between Laur and him. Mr. Berkrans has become a sort of mass favourite too, looking a lot more like an experienced leader than an ex-prostitute does. The middle class especially has much more faith in Berkrans, that much is certain.
The rest of the country, consisting mostly of the rich who have weapons and resources, wants Noah and Laur dead to keep the system which has ensured them a life in luxury. They managed to secure the Potentate and most of his Ministers somewhere the rebels have no idea about.
The luminaries are split down the middle, most of them coming from wealthy families, but a lot of them are also smart enough to see that the country can't keep existing like it's done up until now. Miss Bronze is keeping herself in the background. Somehow, she's survived the book outing her as the 'background Stromboli' Noah called her and been able to keep in the dark – I believe it's because there's been much bigger secrets revealed than her part in the rebellion. She even managed to stay amicable with the Government.
What's happening is a three-parted fight between three very different men, and with her on somewhat decent terms with each of them, although I believe Noah might just be acting. He has begun playing a game himself, and I think Alle might be curious to see what he'll do.
No-one has heard from Ridder Shawthon since the book was published, but his time in America is over. If I have to take a guess I'll say Alle has secured him somewhere on a far-away island. She might still love him, even after it came out that he has eaten people – he did, after all, try to make amends as far as I've understood. Some believe he's dead. I don't, but I've been wrong before. For instance, I once thought this dispute could be settled peacefully. Now I know there was never any other choice but a fight.
The revolution has officially ended. The war has begun.
